Yes, please! While we didn't buy any groceries, there were plenty of local farm fresh vegetables, eggs, and meats available, in addition to whole and ground coffee beans, breads, and other goods. As for the outdoor portion, there was a wide array of vendors and the prices were very reasonable. If we lived in the area, we would likely be there every week. *Our visit was during COVID19, the Farmers Market offered and supported good protocols as did each vendor.

You can drive there yourself and check out the farm and the store OR they will drive to you and deliver you farm goodness to your front step. Where they really shine is in a big something called a bundle. It's basically your weekly meal planning, shopping and prep work in one. I'm talking not just the peppers for your taco Tuesday but the washed and chopped peppers, you hear me busy momma?! They deliver all over the capital district too. I'm a weird breed that actually enjoys grocery shopping and food prep but there is no voodoo magic that could get me this amount of price for the extremely reasonable price Gorsky's charges.

I loved the idea of having my meals prepared and ready to heat up when we got home. I posted to their Facebook page asking for help navigating their website to place a delivery order. The owner (I think) answered right away, we commented back and forth, Great Week Bundle order placed, hunky dory. Delivery day came and went, with no delivery. I Facebook messaged the owner. No response. I emailed the owner. No response. I tried calling the number on their Facebook page. It's suspended. It was a hot mess scramble to feed my family that evening, which is our normal and exactly what I was hoping to avoid via this delivery. Finally I commented (which I later discovered they deleted) on one of their posts asking for an update. They responded via Messenger and said their truck broke down and would update me ASAP. A few days came and went with no update. I gave up and asked for a refund via Messenger. They responded quickly to that and agreed to refund. Days passed, no refund. Finally, I escalated to Paypal and got my refund. I get it's a working farm. Really, I do. Stuff happens. But I dropped a lot of money on food that never arrived. I shouldn't have had to jump through hoops to a) get satisfactory customer service from the owners, and b) get a refund. As I said earlier, Gorsky's delivery service is an amazing concept that I want to support! But unless they improve their customer service and communication, I will not be trying again anytime soon.

Feeding & visiting the goats is always a hit for the kids. Depending on when you go, you can sometimes expect a bounce house, pony rides, food vendors, live music etc. The donut line can get absurdly long but it's never too long of a wait for those local-favorite cider donuts! The donuts are always fresh & warm & otherworldly delicious. The barn also offers many local treats, apple cider, fresh eggs & veggies, fudge, honey, handmade products & so much more. Look up to see the train hanging from the ceiling! Slyboro Ciderhouse is usually serving hard cider, beer on tap, cocktails etc.

Next to the register was a small package wrapped in red & white string, labeled "Bonnie's Uncommon Fruitcake." I've been a sucker for trying fruitcakes ever since I had my first slice of Freihofer's Fruitcake over seventy years ago. Here was a locally baked fruitcake with no difficult to pronounce or preservative ingredients. That definitely made it "Uncommon." Pecans, dates, candied fruit (cherries, pineapple), eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. That's it! I thought it tasted delicious. It was not overly sweet, had a good amount of nuts and candied fruit, and there was minimal cake (flour) holding it all together perfectly. They sell seasonal vegetables, farm fresh eggs, cider, cider donuts, mums and asters, pumpkins and gourds, honey, and even let you pick your own pumpkin. They are taking deposits for turkeys for Thanksgiving, and you can meet and pick out your turkey. Everything here is fresh, healthy, and delicious.

This place is very much worth a visit for some of the nicest produce and people! My favorite is the muskmelon. Prepare to be spoiled for life. I've purchased six melons this season and they've all been huge, full of juice and so sweet you don't need any ice cream in the middle. I'm addicted and have been making weekly visits. I also bought a bushel of green bell peppers to put up. Excellent value. They typically have a variety of vegetables and you can pick your own veggies depending on what's ready. Think tomatoes or pumpkins! They carry baked goods like fruit pie and quick bread. They're open from May to October. I would reccomend you call before you make the drive to confirm hours and what kinds of things are available that day. Their website is also quite helpful. After this discovery I'm going to go through withdrawl until spring!
