Dirt and lint all over floor. Clearly has not been vacuumed in days.
Kelly M.

I would not recommend this business at all. From the moment I walked in, it was subpar. No receptionist for the first 5 mins when I walked in. The massage room was filthy! Dirt and dust all over the wall due to lack of cleaning the fan and walls. Floor had dirt, lint, and everything else all over it. The massage its self was one of the worst I've had. I felt like she just rubbed in one place over and over then moved to the next area and repeated.

I received a complimentary massage as I followed this particular franchise on Facebook. They opened in the Quarry area across the street from Trader Joe's and on the other side of Ida Claire restaurant. They are at the corner of Basse Road and Jones Maltsberger. It's similar to the other massage and facial spas and that it is membership driven. Prices seem to be accurate and fair. They also offer a line of Clarity RX products as well as Dermalogica products. They have several treatment rooms available. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood. I enjoyed my one hour complimentary massage. I'm not big on memberships as I don't go that often but if you're interested in membership and prefer to have a massage each month I definitely recommend. Easy access. Ample parking.

I am so impressed. I was way overdue for a massage. I had a special offer I found thru Facebook. It was easy to schedule over phone. I filled out some consents ahead. I arrived on ppkk ok I o my. My therapist Donna was on time. She came out asking for me. She had great southern hospitality and professionalism. The room was very zen. I relaxed as she gave a very good massage. It's probably one of the best I've had. I highly recommending booking with Donna and join the membership. I did and I look forward to adding a facial in the future. Check out was very easy. My husband even booked after I raved about her. If you have to wait in the lobby you will get to browse products.

Challenges - find one that is not high volume, one that has high sanitary standards, one that uses water (Waterless nail procedures are not for me.), one that has expanded operating hours, etc. When I lived in San Antonio, I used to go to Woodhouse Spa monthly. Then we moved back to Austin and had to start my search all over again. Fortunately, they had a Woodhouse Spa near my house. Then it got bought out by a facial spa. There was one solo Woodhouse Spa I frequented in Cedar Park, TX until it closed its nail spa. Thus, I have been bouncing around but have not found one that meets all my nail needs. Therefore, I decided I will go to Woodhouse when I visit San Antonio 1-2 per month. Today I had a pedicure at Woodhouse after not having a pedicure for about a month. My big toenail split. Fortunately it was the thin top layer, but it scared me a bit. Woodhouse Spa's vibe is serene, peaceful and calm. The spa colors are warm - beige, brown, off white. They offer massages and facials also. When you arrive you check in at the front desk and then you are escorted to a waiting area where they bring you the beverage of your choice. Their dressing room has complimentary toiletries. My pedicure was done well. Look forward to returning...

Overall, it was a relaxing morning, and I had great services. I would happily return when I'm back in San Antonio.

Stopped by to get some Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover because this house brand is the only thing…read morethat removes my waterproof mascara. I've been using it for years. I was able to pick up a bottle & afterwards was trying on perfume samples. It's nice because they have paper tabs you can just spray on to test the scent. There were lots of new scents I've never seen before. I'm in a change-of-season mode looking for a lighter, less musky scent esp. since the weather's been in the 80°s. I didn't find anything that suited me but at least was able to smell some. I like how they have the perfume bottles anchored with an extendable wire to prevent thefts. Attendants were helpful from the time I entered til the time I left. After I checked out, I was asked if I needed any help & remembered I wanted to check out a Kosas concealer. I was brought to the Kosas area & attended by Joe. He said he'd color-match me to avoid the guesswork. It's a hand-held device that is set to your forehead & cheek to get closer to the color tones of your skin. Joe chose a couple of shades & tested it on my hand then on my face after he sanitized the tester. I checked it by the window & settled for one mini-sized concealer. I also asked about a pressed foundation product as my Shiseido had been discontinued. He showed me a Dior balm type of product so he did the same test w/a couple of shades, sanitized again & tried it above my chin. I told him I'd wear it while walking around Whole Foods & see how it wears in the day before buying. I asked him for some tips to set makeup under the eyes & he gave some suggestions. I addressed some skincare concerns and he was limited in knowledge but that's fine. In time I'm sure he'll gain more experience. I'd say the associates I've worked with in the Nordstrom Beauty counters have more experience, IMO. Nevertheless, there are a ton of product lines including the Sephora brand which has its own merits. Brands evolve & I like to see the new products offered, new technologies incorporated, new colors & formulations. I like the convenience of buying online & pickup except for the locations at Kohl's. There are a lot of Sephoras in the area which is nice & their rewards program is an extra perk. They always have new sample sizes for 100 point rewards redemptions every month which is fun to look forward to. I've even redeemed La Mer skincare sets for 500 points! They also offer various makeup application classes & have certain product line events where they're launching new products. You can sign up online & check their calendar of events.

Like most salons, the eyebrow wax was $12 which is good pricing. The employee was very nice. I have sensitive skin so naturally my skin gets very red and irritated whenever it's waxed -- but my eyebrows were way redder than normal. I don't think the wax they use is for sensitive skin, but it's fine, most places don't. Just something to keep in mind if you have plans later in the day or have sensitive skin like mine.

Located near the quarry, it is easily accessible off hwy 281. I love that they take walk in customers and appointments. The salon is clean, well ventilated and the staff are always kind, efficient and detailed. I'm usually a very boring dip/gel kind of gal but I've found myself trusting the staff to pick colors and styles for me. (Yes, I loved my maroon, bronze sparkle and cat's eye nails). They have lots of colors to choose from and all staff have a great command of language and they trade. They are detailed in filing, shaping and caring for your nails and toes. If you are on a specific time schedule, call ahead and make an appointment. Seems like this is the place to do nails with your friends. I'm sure you will both enjoy and be back again and again.
