They completed our pool this past February, finishing right on schedule and without a single issue along the way. From start to finish, the team was outstanding. Our designer/salesperson, Chandler, was wonderful. He listened to our ideas and brought them to life with a design we absolutely love. Also the autofill was not actually connected when pool supposedly was already completed ... they had to come back for that as well. Their subs showed up at work w children in tow.... Etc. Now I contacted them for a warranty issue and they will not cover it. They said they don't believe I emptied the autofill during the freeze. I assure you I did. When I went to turn it on , after the freeze , it was spewing water out. A plastic screw came out. The pump is also not working property and they are saying it's industry standard. It worked just fine after pool was done until a few months ago. I cannot get it above 70 GPM and had it to 90-100 before when we had pool parties. They don't stand behind their product and are terrible to work with. Go build your pool with someone else.

The last two weeks have been not good, as other technicians have been servicing the pool. In the few incidents in the past we've had pool service tech's who up - do literally nothing and leave. They look around. That's about it. (Anthony to be specific) Last week the pool service manager came with a trainee. The manager is new - 2 months or so into his job. I asked him to vacuum the pool as that is part of our service plan. He did not clean the pool properly or vacuum the pool after I requested. My husband called Phillip (the owner) to let him know, Phillip said he'd take care of the issue. This week, Wednesday is our day of service normally. My husband gets our record of service email from Pinch a Penny about 2pm. Our gate had not been opened, no one had been at our property, much less to our pool area. I walked out just to ensure no service was completed - baskets still full of debris, no chemicals balanced...The technician used someone else's pool as the photo in our record of service. We called twice and left two messages for the owner to call us back. We are awaiting a communication back to resolve this issue. We understand it's a holiday week, that doesn't stop the transactions for my payment coming out of my bank Monday, 7/3. Update: 7/6 - Valerie the owner called first thing this morning and committed to making this situation right. Pool tech Zay was out this afternoon and spent nearly an hour vacuuming, balancing chemicals and doing everything that wasn't done previously. He left the pool sparkling, clean and balanced. I will say, consistently, when there is an issue (this has happened only a handful of times at most) - the ownership is timely, very involved, makes things right, good and fair. We got our pool tile done in April, a week after the grout cracked around the whole pool. They put more grout on top on the cracked grout. Then it cracked again and I was promised it would get fixed back in May and it is now almost July. There is grout dripping down the tiles, and grout left inside of my pool. The pictures I attached are what it currently looks like. After multiple times of reaching out I'm pretty they sure ghosted us and never intend to fix it. Not mad just disappointed at the work we got for the money we spent.

Disappointed and Frustrated - Would Not Recommend…read more In 2023, Gary's Pool and Patio installed our pool. While the initial pool installation went smoothly, nearly everything that followed has been a huge disappointment. They recommended a subcontractor named Frank to handle the concrete, coping, and installation of three water sheers--this was a major mistake. The concrete work is wavy and has already started cracking. The pool drain is so tight that it's nearly impossible to remove for cleaning. The cool coat applied was so thin that within just a few months, the base texture and color were showing through. Even worse, the $1,800 water sheers are unusable because they leak. Within the first year, the pool pump had to be replaced. The sand filter leaks. I've been reporting an ongoing water loss issue--200 to 300 gallons weekly, even through the winter months--and despite sharing results of a bucket test with Gary's, I've received no response or assistance. No leak detection, no follow-up--nothing. The Cool Coat had to be completely redone, but neither Frank nor Gary's Pool and Patio would stand behind their workmanship. I asked Gary's to price match the Cool Coat, and they came back $175 higher than other vendors. Financing was also a headache. We caught them overcharging us--an obvious billing error that we had to point out. Toward the end, they wanted us to send them the remaining loan funds (around $5,000) and promised to reimburse us. This raised serious red flags, and we were told, "We do this all the time," as if that should have reassured us. "Pool school" was a joke. We paid to learn how to operate and maintain our pool, yet we were never taught how to set up the lighting programs or salt generator. I had to contact Pentair directly to figure it out myself. Bottom line: Gary's Pool and Patio provides decent service until the final payment is made. After that, you're just a number. We do love having a pool, but if we could do it over again, we'd choose a different company. Don't get swayed by the promise of a lifetime shell warranty or quick installation times. Do your research--Gary's Pool and Patio is not what they appear to be.

Started out great - old pool service TRUE Blue Pool &Maintenance didn't backwash my pool for 3…read moremonths - it turned green - I hired Pinnacle and Cory came out over the weekend and got the pool blue again and cleaned my DE Filter- he told me my days would be Friday - the next Friday he came on time, however by Thursday I didn't have any pool tabs - they had evaporated.The next Friday he didn't show up and when I called him at 4 PM he said oh yeah he would be over on Saturday. On Saturday I asked him to please let me know if he wouldn;t be over on Friday as I always have people over to swim and I am in the pool everyday - he said he would - meanwhile, I'm losing a lot of water in my pool everyday - I can't figure out what's going on - this has been going on for like 2 weeks so I finally walk down to the pump and when Cory cleaned the DE Filter and backwashed the pool he didn't close the valve tightly and water was coming out of the backwash hose. I emailed him and heard nothing - today when I asked him about it he denied it was him but yet he was the only person that had touched the valve - and again - he didn't come on Friday - I called him at 5 PM he said he would clean the pool Saturday - I asked him today Saturday why he didn't just change me to Saturday - he shook his head no and said that I had called him early and that he normally calls at 6 PM if he isn't going to make it that day. lastly - I have DE shooting out into the pool-I tell him about it - he blames it on me and my equipment, however, I know he probably tore a grid. He leaves without cleaning my pool, gives me a refund and texts me that my pool has too many problems - well duh - he's the pool guy - oh and also - he wants payment up front before he does the work- DO NOT USE OR USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
