But I'll have you know that this is the one I choose to go to over all the other ones, and that makes it super special. I go there for the playground. It's not only a McDonald's play area, it's under shade. Now for all you mums out there looking for a place to dump your 2-5 year old kiddies, this is the place. I know it doesn't sound like that big a deal, but it is! Do you know how many mums out there wish there was a place like McDonalds with a play area under shade? While they can talk, eat, be merry. There are millions. And that, my friend, is why this McDonalds is super special. You can lock those smelly little suckers up and they can't go anywhere while you have a chat with your friend, lover, some stranger... it's fantastic. You can finally grab those really precious few minutes if not more (there is rubber matting, it will reduce the time the child falls to when you actually have to get up and see to that they are okay because the rubber matting, sponges their fall mmm hmmm you see?)... and for free. FREE. Cheap food, no entry fee and free enclosed play area... these words are like music to a tired, restless, about to lose it mothers' ears. It sounds very hard to believe I know... shouldn't all play areas for McDonalds be under cover? The answer is NO people.... the answer is no. This one even has a McCafe and is now a 24 hour establishment... even better! I have driven around Centenary looking, the Hungry Jacks has a playground so under the sun the paint has started stripping and the metal has started looking very grimy. The KFC doesn't have one, the other ones are in a shopping centre... just trust me on this one. Take a breather, I never thought I'd say this, but go check this quinkydink out.

For those of you like me, this may be three to four nights a week. So let me fill you in on this little secret, The Flying Fish Indooroopilly is a fantastic little local fish and chips shop you can take advantage of on those nights you couldn't give a fish. For the solo diners out there look no further then the $8 lunch deal that includes a massive piece of fish and a mountain of chips. Please note that the "lunch" deals are offered all day and all night... don't ask me why it's called the "lunch deal". Each meal is served with a small little container of tartar sauce, so you may want to make sure you have plenty of your favorite sauces at home to assist you in attacking that humungous portion of chips. I won't lie to you, I haven't really tried any of the family packs but I have tremendous faith that they'll be great value as the lunch meals really do blow my mind. The food itself is pretty good. Due to my preoccupation with value my critique isn't particularly detailed in terms of the fish's quality, however I am certain that it is somewhere between average and not so bad. At the end of the day you're only paying $8 anyway. This being said, it may not be as great as those sensational little fish and chip shops one finds along the beach on holiday - but need I remind you that you're not on holidays, you just can't be bothered cooking. I'll admit that I was a little addicted to The Flying Fish Indooroopilly for a few weeks. In fact I was so addicted that the staff there started to recognize me and preempt my order, which I think is great, if not a little sad on my behalf. Overall, this is a fantastic little takeaway joint with incredible value for money.

Currently on a Brisket…read morebinge, I was quite happy to find That BBQ Joint at the Mini Milton Markets when I visited this week. Located in the car park of the Thai Restaurant, it's a grand idea for Thursday lunch time and one I hope grows with time. But back to That BBQ Joint. It's a small food truck with just enough room for two inside but that doesn't seem to stop them serving up delicious BBQ meats like pulled pork and brisket. I went for the Brisket Roll which also comes with cheese, slaw and their home-made BBQ sauce. Their 12 hour smoked Brisket is clearly the star of this roll, and frankly, I'd be happy to eat a plate of that alone. It's tender, smokey in all the right ways and their BBQ sauce compliments it so very well. Everything else around it is just supporting acts. The roll itself isn't gourmet, just a plain hamburger roll. It's easy to see I'm not alone in thinking this as That BBQ Joint had the longest line by far as I arrived. Do yourself a favour: seek their next location and part with the best $10 you'll spend.

I got the mixed BBQ plate ($13) and my son went with the pulled pork roll ($9). Both were top shelf and the serving sizes were more than adequate. The mixed plate has both pulled pork and beef brisket as well as either slaw or potato and bacon salad (my choice!). The meat is to die for especially the brisket which melts in your mouth. My son could only get through half of his roll as it was sooo stacked with pork and slaw. My only issues were that the ribs weren't available and they were the initial attraction especially for my son. Also, I'm not sure about (free) parking although others may be able to suggest spots. Highly recommend.

How Does Good Quality Get This Cheap? Great fresh quality,…read moreand the presentation is eye-catching (not just the cheese, as mentioned by another reviewer!). The generous portions for that low price totally threw me. I thought I was paying $10 for just the kebab, but it was a combo deal including a drink (the sign could have been a little clearer ... they're only losing potential customers). The perfectly crispy edge on the toasted bread with the suitably sized strips of filling; I gotta get back there right now. Pity that the food court trading hours are not 24-7. I would have given this 5 stars had it not been for the kebab place at the Harcourt Road Darra roundabout strip mall. But, even for an Indooroopilly Shopping Centre food court outlet, GRAB-a-KEBAB's top notch.

This got my attention for all the right reasons- I love cheese. Most times, I have to be in the mood for kebab, otherwise I'd think it's crap. So luckily for Grab A Kebab, their mountainous amount of cheese got my attention and got me craving a nicely toasted kebab. They have a good selection of fillings that you usually find at a kebab place and when they wrap the kebabs they're done neatly and not loosely. I hate it when a kebab falls apart before you even tuck into it. Customer service here is good and they attend to their patrons in a fast but timely manner. Overall, for a takeaway kebab place, it is really good.
