I placed a $50.00 order for dinner tonight (3-16-2021) ordering Won Ton soup, Egg rolls, Chichen fried rice, Chicken and Shrimp fried rice and Sweet and Sour Chicken. When it arrived I opened the container of soup to find a rather large bug floating on top of the soup. Needless to say my stomach flipped and I immediately called the restaurant to complain. After telling the woman on the phone what we had found, she started laughing and said that somebody just must have missed seeing it. I was taken back by her response. This is a white container of clear liquid and this bug was at least a half inch in length, how could it have not been seen? This made me question what bugs might have made their way into the fried rice as well since the rice is the same color as the bug! Again she just laughted at me and said things like that happen. Are you serious? She asked what I wanted her to do, so I told her I wanted it credited back to my credit card. With another chuckle she told me they Could not do that unless I returned all the food. Why would they want that food back? To perhaps send it out in another order? Instead i will just be doing a charge back with my credit credit card tomorrow morning. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER RESTAURANT! Good Sushi, we always order maki rolls and enjoy them every time. Usually for takeout but we've dined in as well and it was nice.

This resturant offers a unique atmosphere. It's a place you would be surprised to find locally, fresh ingredients brought me back. As well as great prices to enjoy with the whole family as well as a private dinner with close company. My favorite fish-Salmon was on par with some flavors I've experienced in Columbus and California. Overall the staff is well versed in the menu and are open to create your own platters unlike some traditional japanese resturants close by. A resturant experience I am glad to return to. I stopped by here for lunch today and I've got to say that their sushi is very unimpressive. Perhaps, I was foolish to think that a sushi restaurant in a small town called Austintown would possibly be ok, but unfortunately I had my hopes up a little too high. I've had some incredible food in some tiny places in the middle of nowhere, but just not this time. Everything tastes freezer burned and had an aftertaste. Their prices are reasonable, but their food is just not good. The soup was ok. There are two Chinese restaurants right by this place that I wish I would have dined at instead. The hostess/server (Helen?) really needs to be able to speak and understand English, as opposed to knowing only a few specific words and doing lots of pointing. I've gone for sushi about 8 times now. I really am impressed with the rolls, sushi, and sashimi. A particular favorite of mine is the Salmon Lover's Combo. I keep reading good reviews but I didn't think the food was very good. First the menu was very hard to figure out so I settled on something that they called a "Box" for $8.99 that appeared to come with a salad. What I got was some chicken crap over white rice. I asked about the salad and they lady didn't understand I'm guessing because she kept pointing to the white rice.I'm thinking white rice might be Japanese salad? I went when they opened and it was pretty good because everything was fresh. Now 4 months later they still have their grand opening sign in the front and the fish isn't all that fresh. It's not rancid or anything like that, but it go that distinctive fishy taste you can really tell when you order sushimi. The rolls easily fall apart and the specials and combinations are not the great. If you want good sushi that tastes fresh that isn't too far check out Toko in Streetsboro. IMO all the sushi places around Youngstown are sub par. read more

Food was delicious looking and definitely up to par with other local sushi options. Staff was friendly, if a little absent during the meal. Pass. There are other, better hibachi grills and Japanese restaurants out there. The hibachi here is sub par as far as taste. You also get a smaller portion that is the same price, if not more, than other places. And you only get either the salad or soup, not both like is typical. Not to mention the "yum yum" sauce is pretty blah. Don't forgot the rap music playing - cause that's not weird for a hibachi place or anything. So, for less food that doesn't taste as good, and is the same price or more to the competition? Yup, that equals a pass. read more

If rating based on the appearance of the place I would give a one star. From the weeds in the parking lot to the bag of salt left from winter on the sidewalk there is much to be desired. The inside is also nothing to write home about. However the service was attentive and the food was good. I had the chicken hibachi meal. The rangoons were tasty, the chicken tender and flavorful, the California rolls were not typical but were good. My husband had a sushi combo and he said the fish wasn't as flavorful as we are used to in California but it wasn't bad. We both agreed that we would be back. read more

This place is really dark inside. The food is not as good as Mizu. For example, the ginger salad was bland and super watery. Also, the yum yum sauce is pink and different tasting. The special rolls are some of the best combinations in the area I feel too. My top fav are the fried amazing shrimp roll, Spanish volcano, and the fried champion roll. I got the yakisoba and it was really good and was at a very good price. Other Japanese restaurants in the area you can't say that. Sushi is good and fresh. For being close to home it's okay, quick fix for the craving, and decently priced. However, the female Asian server does not understand simple English. When I told her that I personally wanted 2 lunches and both with salad, I only received 1 lunch special. This is not first time this has happened.
