The choice was limited to 2 meats and it was 12.30 During a non existent rush Lunch hour. It used to be Lined with excited eaters, Now it's virtually empty. I'm not a fan of pork belly So I was left with underwhelming Dry Pulled but not Pulled Pork. And 13 euro for 200 grams. Needless to say this purchase was regrettable. For the same Price or less I have several Viable options to choose from. In the future, this won't be One of them. (

I smell smoked meat!" I followed my nose to an oasis of of meaty delight: Big Stuff Smoked BBQ. I swear that tears formed in my eyes as I saw the writing on the glass display: BRISKET. Alas, my tears of joy turned to tears of sorrow, when the guy in front of me got the last delectable-looking piece. Then the tough decision: pulled pork or pork belly? Well, anyone with a brain would choose the crispy fat and juicy flesh of the pork belly... so I chose pulled pork. ;-) While I was waiting for my sandwich to be assembled, I started up a conversation with the owners about the difficulties of finding brisket in Germany. I was quite impressed with their knowledge of brisket versus tri-tip, and the delicate process of cooking brisket hot, then warm for hours. These guys knew their stuff!! After my pork was pulled (by hand), I was asked to choose a sauce. I went with the spicy one, naturally. Most sandwiches come with a variety of veggies: cucumbers, lettuce, etc., but I'm a purist. Meat, sauce and bun, please. Pickles on the side, if you've got 'em. I think my hands actually trembled a bit when I went to take the first bite. The aroma of the smoky sauce and juicy pork were almost overwhelming. The sandwich did not disappoint. I would even go so far as to say it was on par with some of the best barbecue I've had - even from central Texas, the Vaterland of barbecuing excellence. A glass of tart lemonade, garnished with lime, mint and cucumber was a delicious accompaniment to the sandwich. I'm already planning my next visit at the end of September. I'll be there first thing on Thursday morning, guys. Save me a slab of brisket and a bottle of the spicy sauce!!

Lino's Barbecue is the perfect spot if you are craving some real Texas barbecue!…read more Our favorites were the ribs, picked red onions, beef fat fries, and pulled pork sandwich. The homemade sauces were also so good, particularly the ketchup and molasses barbecue sauce. A reservation is a good idea since they can run out of food, and it's also possible to pre-order the food just in case. Lino and team are super nice and clearly passionate about barbecue. Lino is a Texas native, born in Houston and trained in Austin. Read more on the website: https://www.linosbbq.com/our-story We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming again! Thank you, Lino!

They have the smokers, the owner comes from Texas, this is as close as you're going to get in Berlin. That said, the Brisket was a little drier than it should be, and and ribs were just OK. Now, this is compared to Austin BBQ, which is king country for this style of BBQ. If you put the Texas flag up and claim you're THE spot for Texas BBQ, then someone from Texas is going to come in there. The jalapeño sausage is spot on, however. I think it's going to be very hard to hit the true Texas mark, because the smokers are indoor here and you probably can't get the right kind of wood, and I don't know how long or at what temperatures they're cooking at. I really want to give this a more accurate 4.5 stars, because it's Berlin, NOT Texas. But it cannot be 5 because it's just NOT as good as something you'd get IN Texas, but it's the best you're going to come close to in Berlin, or probably all of Europe. So, if you're European, make believe this is 5 stars and you'll love it. If you're a Texan in Berlin, it'll remind you of home, but don't expect Terry Black's or Michelthwait's. Don't even mention the guy who's name begins with F...that would be sacrilege to compare Lino's to F's.
