I never leave reviews, but weeks later my friends and I still talk about how awful this experience was--so here we are. We visited Hamptons Hot Yoga during my friend's bachelorette weekend hoping for a relaxing class. Instead, the vibes were completely off and nothing like what you'd hope to find in a yoga studio. The treatment we received from the blonde woman who seemed to be the manager or owner was awful. She was shockingly rude and dismissive toward us from the start, which set a terrible tone for the whole session. We left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. This hot yoga studio is not to be missed if you want an amazing practice lead by thoughtful and professional yogis. The owner Linette's smile greats you when you walk in . Her calm and confident nature puts beginners and pros at ease. Linette has a variety of yoga mats , blocks and apparel available for sale . The refrigerator stocks water and natural sports drinks to quench your thirst . Cubbies provide space for footwear before entering class . A shower is provided for the post workout rinse off. The studio itself is spacious and extra clean . The heat is always consistent and the humidity keeps the body limber. Trust me you will sweat. The instructors do a greet job keeping novice to pro engaged in the practice . And what is really nice , a fresh cold slice of watermelon after class. Try this place , you'll be hooked. read more

Owner is awful and so rude to patrons, teachers are hit or miss, some lovely, some just awful. In fact, one in particular, Tomasin, was so beyond mean, belittling, condescending, disinterested, angry, you get the point. Never in my 20 years of practice have I ever had a teacher tell me to not use my block, or not ask me in the beginning of class if I had injuries- so that she would know I was modifying for one, and then YELL at me for modifying? I left feeling so disempowered wishing k had left half way through. read more

Pricing: There is no way this studio would in business if there was another hot yoga option. I've been to pretty much all boutique fitness classes out east and $45 dollars for a yoga class w mat towel water is equivalent of a Tracy Anderson price - for a very mediocre yoga class. No first time offer. Mat towel was also very old and worn and did not stay in place Experience: 60 min vinyasa was pretty standard, medium difficulty class. Would maybe return for same class if price was more reasonable. Also could crack a door more during the end after the work was done for some air flow. People were standing walking around to get water which was distracting. Staff: Not a "yoga" vibe at all. Very cold greeting from the owner when I checked in for my first class. Was not shown around (locker rooms aren't clearly labeled male female so a tour would have been helpful). I also got reprimanded during end of class to "not use the mirror during headstand" when I was not using the mirror at all, but was just going up into headstand at the top of my mat. read more

The owner is so rude. She's mean, abusive and kills the whole vibe of the studio. Feels like she needs to take a few more yoga classes to zen out. As much as I loved the class and instructor, I will never support this persons' business ever again. read more

Hamptons hot yoga was a lovely find via an Internet search. The studio hadnt been added to yelp so I felt it was important to get the word out and be the first review! The studio is super clean and they teach Bikram and other forms of hot yoga (vinyasa). Bikram practitioners rejoice, there is Bikram yoga in the Hamptons. I had a chance to chat with the owner lienette, and she indicated all instructors teaching Bikram are trained by Bikram. Reasons why the studio isn't part of the worldwide website have to do with some Bikram franchise restrictions but this IS Bikram. I had the pleasure of taking curt who was terrific and was impressed by the serious group of practitioners. The heat was excellent, but there's relief from ceiling fans. Unlike the often nasty carpet, this studio has a wooden flooring so one needs to be wary of having a firm mat. The studio rents mats and towels but pricing is expensive(as is the $30 drop in fee) but it is the Hamptons and we are talking pricey real estate. Also bring a bottle for water (there is a filter) because they don't sell bottled water but there are yummy coconut waters and juices for sale. I also loved the added touch of fresh watermelon post class. What keeps me from five stars is the unfortunate location next door to core fusion at the exhale spa. there is thumping music if class coincides with next doors schedule. Other than that, if you are in the Hamptons and looking to practice hot yoga or Bikram, look no further. read more

THIS IS FOR THE SOUTH HAMPTON SPOT! If I could I would give this place zero stars based solely on the service; which is very disappointing because I love the Bridgehampton location. I arrived to the South Hampton location asking for help with a schedule change because I signed up for the wrong location. The middle aged blond lady at the front continued to cut me off expressing that she couldn't help me and that I had to go online and change it myself. When I expressed that I didn't have service and that's one of the reasons I came in she told me to go outside and try and find service. I then asked if I could use their WiFi for a quick second to make the change she told me to go to the park and find it myself. Her attitude was so nasty she might as well have told me to go F* myself. I am shocked that a person could be so rude and unhelpful. I will never come back to this location or the Bridgehampton one. Bait and Switch business with a habit of dishonest practices. This is surprising from a woman owned shop, but hey look at Elizabeth Holmes. People are treated here differently based on who the owner thinks they are. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is serious about hot yoga as Lienette's skills are a bit rusty. But if you are a beginner who does not care about professionalism this is your place. Namaste. read more

I went to Hamptons Hot for a 4:30 class on Sunday and it was a class-act studio! Exceptional teaching, solid protocols, wonderful greeting & welcoming process to a new student & I felt totally taken care of! Highly recommend :-) read more

Classes are ok, owner is extremely unfair and unaccommodating. Just shy of my introductory 2 weeks, I tried to sign up for an unlimited pkg and apply what I've already spent (as per their offer) I wasted the time trying to get an email back and once I heard back, she refused. Refused to honor on classes that are AT MOST a 1/3 full?!!! I was warned about her by several people before, so I imagined it was just a matter of time, but 1 week?!!! Wow. How very unyogi of a person this woman is. Weird. read more

I found the owner to be repeatedly rude and unobliging. As far as I can tell, she has no desire to create happy patrons. It certainly did not feel like a harmonious yoga experience. I tried several times to start afresh, but her behavior has continued. read more

I've been practicing for ten years and looked forward to this spot be so close in SH. I definitely feel good after Mary's class although Yvette that was another story. There was zero fluidity in her classes an her HIIT class was absolutely boring movements did not feel good or were very comfortable. Not motivating an not fun. I'm a trainer by trade and I would say her class was not exactly choreographed or thought through thoroughly as Emily's class is. That is why I gave the 4 th star. If you want to sweat and get sculpted that's the class to take. The studio def could be a lot cleaner hair all over the studio floors every time I go. Do they suggest cleaning the blocks after class? No... kind of grossed me out since I have never seen anyone clean them. Maybe they do idk... but worth a shot to try..... read more

Do not go here. Never in my life have I attended such an unwelcoming, unaccommodating environment. The teacher was incredibly rigid and unwilling to accept anyone in the class needing to modify any postures throughout the class. At one point I was in pain doing a pose and she essentially forced me to go back into it by chastising me in front of everyone. She even told several people to no breathe so loud. I have attended hundreds of yoga classes in the past and all have been a warm and welcoming environment- this was my first negative experience in the yoga world and I am disappointed to say the least. She made a point to call out those of us in the class that were wearing watches and practically shame us in front of everyone by telling us to never wear them again. For reference- I have to wear a watch to monitor my heart rate as I have a health condition. I've never been scolded in a workout class that I PAID for before. Truly a bizarre and unenjoyable experience. Save your money and try any other yoga studio except this one. read more

I'm so glad to find a quality hot yoga place in the Hamptons! I heard about this place from a local and decided to check it out. The studio is beautiful and clean, with street parking for grabs. The staff was nice and the classes are decently priced (considering hamptons prices). It had been about 7 months since my last yoga class and I must say I was not disappointed. Nicky taught Hot Vinyasa on my first visit to this studio and his class was awesome. I got a killer workout and I will absolutely become a regular. So happy to have found this place! read more

They don't answer the phone, don't call back, don't answer emails and don't accommodate issues in any way whatsoever. The woman at the front is just this side of rude, whether your are merely signing in or trying to address an issue. The heat was unhealthy for me and they couldn't care less. I didn't want a refund, but rather to just transfer my remaining classes to a friend, but they wouldn't respond and wouldn't allow my friend in to the class. Don't buy a package: you'll save about a dollar off the one-time fee and could very well be left eating the sessions you paid for. There are much better alternatives in the Hamtpons such as Five Pillars Yoga in Water Mill. read more

Great place for hot yoga, especially if you already have a yoga practice and are just visiting in the Hamptons. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. The mats are nice and thick which helps sensitive knees. The room was crowded but quite manageable. I highly recommend the hot vinyasa class, but be aware that the room is extremely hot, so wear yoga shorts or moisture wicking clothing, and be sure to hydrate before and after. You will sweat a lot which is the point of hot yoga! read more

It's a perfectly fine yoga class that I would return to if I didn't feel like I was being price gauged. $30 is a lot for a yoga class... but I can stomach that for a high end work out experience. What I can't is that they charge $10 for a mat and towel, meaning an average yoga class comes to $40 ($45 with water!). At most studios a mat/towel is $2, maybe max $5. I know it's the hamptons and classes are expensive, but this just feels icky. Additionally the owner/staff is rude, altogether setting a negative and unenjoyable environment for practicing. read more

The yoga class itself was fine. The room, of course, abnormally hot but that's what you sign up for and the experience you get! But here's the reason for this review---the instructor told my boyfriend and me that "next time, we should be in the back of the class." Most offensive comment in general but also from a supposed yogi. I could not believe she said that. Needless to say, we won't be returning. And to be clear, there was only room left in the front, it's not like we volunteered or thought we ought to be in the front. read more

Warning against purchasing packages. If there were other options for hot yoga in the area this studio would be out of business. If you are looking for a great yogi-culture and energy of unconditional acceptance/relaxation this isn't the place for you. I even had a regular student apologize for the owner/teacher's behavior after class one day. Sensing that I'm a regular practitioner (10 years), the regular student was embarrassed for her home studio, indicating these are year-round issues. There are so many other options for exercise in The Hamptons I recommend avoiding this studio's institutionally negative energy. If you are going to practice here it's important to understand that your individual needs as a practitioner and customer are not welcome. Over the course of 2 months I learned the owner/teacher thinks it's part of a good practice to lob passive-aggressive comments about the 1 or 2 students who arrived slightly late (or right on time) repeatedly throughout the class. One customer's gold necklace is fine but another's bracelet is worthy of stopping class, interrupting the meditative flow. Any accommodation or flexibility you may need as a customer will be be met with immovable contempt. Treatment of customers is akin to a cell phone or cable company. Unfortunate because this could be a great place, but it's management holds it back. Spend your $35 elsewhere. read more

I have frequented this studio many times and Saturday Bikr Hot yoga at 11:30 will be my last time. I left my purse and belongings in a cubby without a door nor lock, to take my yoga class. Post class, I grabbed my items and drove home. When I removed my purse to pay for something in town, all of my cash had been stolen from my wallet-$250! I felt extremely violated and angry that I trusted the circumstances of the studio, and was betrayed. I called management twice and left 2 detailed messages with no return call nor response. I will NEVER return to this studio again and I am an active member of the yoga community and I will spread the word about the lack of security and responsibility of this studio. I am writing to review Hot'auk which is evidently a part of this studio. This place in Montauk is a gem. A beautiful room with views of the ocean and the pond. Quite wonderfully hot, very clean and great vibe. We particularly liked the teacher of the bikram set. If you're lucky enough to be in Montauk check it out. not many options for class times is the only negative. read more

Hot'tauk in Montauk is a great studio! I love coming here while on vacation. Studio is so clean and the owner is so nice. There is free water to fill your bottle and watermelon on the deck overlooking Fort Pond after your yoga session. It is a Wonderful way to start a morning before heading to the beach. read more

Has anyone else found the owner very rigid and unaccommodating? I was told not to come back if I had to leave early again. My wife was not allowed in because she arrived at the same minute class began. We are always very respectful and appreciative but there is no reciprocal kindness. We found the owner's manner very off putting. read more
