Who knew that there was an Advanced Imaging Center in the Sentara Brock Cancer Center? Certainly…read morenot me. One Registration & large waiting area also include a Breast Center, Diagnostic Center & Lab. How surprised I was when Central Scheduling offered that location as the next available appointment. The time was also perfect. It was early evening when both the parking lot & the waiting room were almost completely empty. Although the arrival time was quoted as 30 prior to the testing, I was taken back pretty quickly, The technicians in the MRI room couldn't have been nicer. After noticing that I had no clothing with metal, I was allowed to have the procedure in my street clothes rather than a hospital gown. They were careful to assure that I was OK on the table with my bad back. First a pillow was placed under my knee. Then at my request they placed another one under my back. My head was secured in an open faced chamber so it wouldn't move. Next they offered little ear stoppers & headphones. After asking my choice of music (70's) they began playing a tune that wasn't to my liking. I was asked to name a group I liked (Eagles) & a new playlist began. I was happily singing along with the music until I looked up & saw two wide eyed faces staring down at me. My response was "I guess you don't want me to sing along." Both faces emphatically shook their heads NO. The machine was wonderful. You could barely hear the usual MRI sounds. One setting even felt like you were getting a back massage. The hardest thing was controlling my strong urge to sing along with the music. When the MRI was completed a technician helped me get off the table & I went on my way. The location is quite convenient. The Sentara Brock Cancer Center is a part of the ever expanding Sentara Leigh campus. It's the gorgeous building sitting on Virginia Beach Boulevard just to the east of the new Sentara Orthopedic Surgery Center. Both buildings have their own parking & also share a parking garage. Located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Kempsville Road & Virginia Beach Boulevard, entrance & exit is possible from either street. My experience & care was so good that I scheduled my follow-up CatScan at that Imaging Center. An added benefit is that appointments are available sooner than most Sentara facilities. I think most people, like me, don't know that there is a center in the building. So it's not requested as often. This is a facility I would highly recommend, from check in to exit. It's beautiful, clean, convenient & filled with friendly & helpful employees.

It's right by the elevators and it's huge, with two entrances and a huge intake and waiting area. It runs like a well-oiled machine. First you check-in, then someone calls you over to verify all your info and appointment, and then they take you back for your MRI or Mammogram or advanced cat scan, etc. I ended up having to come back the very next day for more imaging so I was here twice and both times were quick and pleasant. All the staff were wonderful. You're given a gown, lock your things in a locker, and will be called back when they're ready to do your imaging. Both days, different staff, all super professional and nice and calming. I was able to easily and quickly get my results and hop upstairs to have my follow-up appointment one of the days with my physician who already had the results. Boom! Hopefully, I can start getting my MRIs here too and won't have to go to separate places anymore. Win, win.

From my very first visit,…read moremy experience has been nothing short of amazing and it just continues the further along I go with my pregnancy. Jennifer and Mochi are incredibly kind -hearted, and you can genuinely tell they love what they do and care deeply about every person who walks through their door. Mochi is an absolute sweetheart, and even by my second visit had such a great memory she already knew my name as I went to check in. I first went in pretty early in my pregnancy just wanting a quick confirmation that my baby was okay, and instead of feeling rushed, Jennifer took her time, explained everything she was seeing, and gave me so much helpful information that immediately put me at ease. At that visit, I found out I was having twins, I was there alone and feeling overwhelmed. Jennifer was so patient and compassionate. She even gave me the time to try to FaceTime my husband, and when he didn't answer, my friend--never once making me feel rushed. Moments like that mean so much. What makes this place so special is that you truly feel like you have a friend with you during your appointment. Jennifer talks you through everything she sees, explains what to expect, and even shared helpful recommendations for doctors when I asked, along with great tips for managing nausea. I've continued going through as I've purchased the membership, and every visit reinforces how much she truly cares about each and every one of her clients. It's rare to find a place that combines professionalism, knowledge, and such genuine warmth. If you're looking for an ultrasound experience where you feel supported, cared for, and celebrated, I cannot recommend Hello Baby Ultrasound Imaging enough.

The receptionist was amazing talked to my husband, showed us things in the store, even mentioned other services offered if we were interested that we did not know about. Secondly the sonographer was AMAZING! She created a beautiful experience for me and my husband and honestly it's more fairy tale here than at your doctors office in my opinion. Especially for your first time around this entire experience was just so wonderful. The store had an amazing selection of things not just for baby but things dad can look at too. My husband never felt uncomfortable or out of place either, he was included just as much as I was and he shopped and enjoyed the experience. We also got the early gender test done (she draw blood or does the snap) first off if you want to know gender early GO HERE!!!! The snap test was super quick, actually painless, and you get results within the week. The service was $160 but for me this was well worth it as I am expecting family soon. 10/10 for a review I will 100% be going back. My visit was 11/11/25

I was in and out for both types of scans in under 45 minutes and that included 10-15 minutes of intake forms. The *only* negative I can think of is the waiting room. I've been to a few hospital breast centers that have very relaxing/calming waiting areas (which was necessary because they had a LONG wait). The waiting room here is sparse and not super attractive so if you are really worried for your appointment, there isn't much to distract or calm you. But since I was taken back for my scans as soon as I finished the intake forms, it didn't really matter. Overall, I highly recommend this office.

I was advised there were no available appointments in Virginia Beach, that I'd have to go to the S. Chesapeake office (half hour away). I needed to take the late morning off from work since my day begins at 6a and ends at 5p (take off 8:15-10:30). The CT office informed me that I could not exercise, eat, or have any caffeine; no big deal, even though I wake up daily around 3am and hit the gym. Basically, no coffee, ok--easily done. I was told the earliest they had was at 9:15. I left my house in VB at 8:30, arrived early (9:05) and filled out the paperwork in less than 5 minutes. Several people came in after me, but were all seen before me, probably because they only had X-rays and did not need a CT scan? No problem. However, I heard two people in front of me say they had a 10:00 appointment (so, why do they go first? I had a 9:15?). Anyway, I patiently waited ten more minutes, and no one said anything to me. I watched as they cycled patients through the waiting room like an ER, except for me. By 10:15, I finally got up and asked, "What's taking so long. I've been here for an hour." Ten minutes later, I was told that since the office is connected to an Urgent Care, they have first priority for the equipment, and I would need to wait longer. They had no idea how long it might be? Really? As in all day? Hours? Not being able to continue to wait since I had an 11:00 work appointment (which I missed because of their incompetence). Thankfully, I was refunded and forced to schedule another appointment. But, I did miss out on a half day's work! Warning: do not got to the Hanbury MRI Ct Diagnostics if you need a CT or MRI, even if they give you an appointment, it's first come, first serve.

Who knew an Advanced Imaging Center, including a Blood Work Lab, was in this building? Not me…read more My Cardiologist, who sees patients at Fort Norfolk Medical Plaza & this Sentara Building in Chesapeake, regularly sends me for Blood Work. I've always gone to Sentara Leigh, which I prefer to any other Lab. Last week I saw his Nurse Practitioner, who also ordered Blood Work. She told me, much to my surprise, I could just go downstairs & get it done now. I found the Advanced Imaging Center at the back of the building, down a long hall. So I'm not surprised that I had never seen it. Walk in to a large waiting room that was almost empty. I'm sure that I must have come in close to closing time. The one thing I didn't like was having to check in on a computer touch screen. My mind went in the direction of who might have touched it with what germs. When you're on strong immunosuppressants, germs are a frightening thing. It seems that it would have been just as easy to walk to the employee at the empty counter. But everyone was helpful & friendly. I apologized to the Lab Technician that I had worn a long sleeved top that wouldn't push up. I had not been aware that there was a Sentara Lab in the facility. She said she could use my hand. That wasn't a problem for me since I have all my infusions in my hand. She took the blood, put several strips of medical tape over cotton on my hand & sent me on my way. It was really nice to get more covering than a bandaid. Stopping at the door I took advantage of the hand sanitizer on the wall. Walking to the car I thought the hand sanitizer must have gotten really liquid. I then felt the bandage coming off my hand on one side. It wasn't until I got in the car & commented to my friend who drove me that it felt like the bandage was coming off. We both looked at my hand. It wasn't hand sanitizer. It was blood pouring out of my hand & dripping on my clothes. My friend said I had to go back in. I agreed & really hoped they hadn't locked the door. As I walked in, dripping blood, the person behind the counter jumped up & exclaimed something that I don't remember. I heard someone in the back say, "I heard. I'm coming." It was my Lab Technician. She knew just what to do. She took my friend & I to her lab, sent me to a sink & had me soap my hands over and over again. That finally stopped the bleeding. She bandaged my entire hand as if it had suffered a trauma. The helpful lady even gave advice as to what to use to get the blood from my clothing. I felt safe & well taken care of. And no, I don't feel the excess bleeding was because of my Lab Technician. I suspect a new drug I'm taking. This was the first "stick" since I started it. I was very impressed with the way the Advanced Imaging Center took care of me at a time when they must have been closing for the day. The location is in the Sentara building on Volvo Parkway. Exit I-64 towards Greenbrier. Take a right on Volvo. The building sits back from the road on the east side. Once inside the building, go straight down the first floor hall until you dead end into the Advanced Imaging Center. Don't expect the results to show up on MyChart until the next day, since I'm pretty certain it must be sent to a hospital for processing. But if you are seeing a physician whose office is in the same building, it sure beats going to a hospital the next day. And they were really nice & caring to me.
