My review for Hampton Inn I recently stayed at Hampton Inn for a weekend. I usually DO NOT write reviews. The hotel needs to offer a disclaimer before booking that they are renovating. I've been to location that are remodeling but there are not piles of dirty mattresses old furniture, lamps, pictures, etc. in the parking lot. The parking lot is extremely small so guests have to find parking. There is limited parking. The rooms are horrid. They have ripped up the carpet and applied cheap looking laminate flooring. The flooring is a light grey so you see every spot remaining in the floor. I spent 10 minutes wiping spots on the floor before I realized it was not coming up. The blinds were not on the window. No curtains were in the room. They taped a black paper shade to the window. As a guest you will sacrifice sleep because the hotel sits next to a train track (a very busy train track). The ultimate disrespect was the fact that the elevator DOES NOT WORK. I repeat the elevator does not work!!! After which I could not forgo writing a review. One of the employees said this is a repeat issue with the elevator. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. At $150 a night you got to be kidding me. If I could've rated it a ZERO I WOULD HAVE. This place was fantastic! From the time we walked in the staff was super friendly and helpful. The clerk was singing and dancing and even gave us each a cookie. Our room was spacious and clean with a large bathroom equipped with quality soaps and shampoo and lotions. The bed was very warm and comfortable. I got a really good workout at the fitness center that came equipped with a full dumbell rack. The pool was clean and warm. The parkinglot is well lit and safe I would definitely stay here again! read more

Two nights here during the pandemic so my experience was not the usual Hampton experience. Still, the room was super clean, the staff was friendly and because there really were not that many people traveling, the hotel was quiet. During my stay, there was no noise from outside (it's nice that it's not near a highway) and very little noise from the hallway. I opted not to have housekeeping reset the room after the first day. Standard functionality with a sufficient number of power outlets, a very clean bathroom with plenty of towels and the wifi worked very well the whole time. I was actually working both days and so this was helpful. There are some restaurants within walking distance. If I return to Waycross, i would stay here again. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Pubs, hairs, mold in shower and overall filthy. Stay at the Holiday Inn express or the new Comfort Inn when visiting Waycross. read more

This hotel was perfect for me to stay in during a visit to the area. I absolutely loved the remodeling they did (whenever). The colors were perfect, I loved the style. It was quiet, and clean (for the most part). Staff members were friendly and checked me and out quickly and effectively. Breakfast looked nice, but with food allergies I passed on eating the cooked food and decided to just get some cereal to go. I loved the set up of the room, and loved the styles of everything. Especially the tall mirror which also served as the bathroom door. read more

My mom and I stayed two nights at the Hampton and we were having troubles with the tv but Anna helped us out, she went above and beyond. She was super sweet and helpful. It was awful. Customer service behind desk. Night shift employee, was a man. Extremely rude. Yelled at my 2 year old son. Wrong Move. Especially when my dirty towels have been sitting outside my door for 11 hours. I was told to go get them and they were not put out before 11 am its our problem. Huh? My husband then came after my son and I he asked him if I was always this angry? Excuse me? The beds were not clean. Pretty sure something bit me. And the toilet was backed up when we first arrived. So kind for the front desk employee to bring the plunger wrapped in plastic and hand it to me! It is a joke. The worst experience. Happy Thanksgiving to us i guess. read more

They ran out of towels!! How!! The AC doesn't get cool. The sink stopped up and room service refused to take the trash away from outside of the room. COVID is not an excuse for these issues, if you are still charging pre-COVID prices. read more

I saw a lot of not-so-great reviews for this Hampton Inn and thought I would update the situation. I was pleased when I arrived to see how nice the place is which is because it has just been completely remodeled. Everything seems new and clean - floors, walls, furniture. The only thing not completed is the snack bar, I was told, but I never use that amenity anyway. My room is full of electrical outlets for recharging. The HVAC works fine and everything else is up to snuff in my book. The only thing that I think could have been done better are the bedside sconce lights. The switch is so high up the wall that you have to get out of bed to turn it off. A minor complaint though. Oh, and the breakfast was just fine. read more

I travel with my job and stay almost exclusively at Hampton Inns and Marriott Courtyards. I really like Hampton due to the consistent value and few surprises. However, this particular Hampton is not on par with what I have grown to expect. Sadly, the other options in Waycross aren't really much better, which is why I still stay at this one often. Minor issues of stained grout in the bath, direpair of fixtures, no hair conditioner provided ever, all contribute to my view that this place does not fully qualify to call itself a Hampton Inn. It's not horrible, but it's not great either. Update: I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next door to this Hampton. It's about $7/night more, but well worth it. read more

This is about the roughest Hampton I've ever stayed in. It appears as though it may have been originally a lesser name brand hotel. This is a smoking hotel and I can smell stale smoke in my non-smoking room. That figures since the walls and floors are paper thin. Like another reviewer said, there isn't any better choice in town. This hotel really surpassed my expectations!! I'm from Atlanta, and wasn't expecting much out of a hotel in South Georgia. Once I entered the lobby, I knew I was wrong. The hotel looks like it has been updated very recently. The staff at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable and had nice white sheets - again, very clean! If I ever need to return to Waycross, I'll be sure to stay here. No complaints read more

The Hilton Franchise did an excellent job with the renovation to the entire hotel. The breakfast is good too. They offer egg and chesse omelette, sausage pattie, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, variety of bread, etc. Kroger and WalMart is close by too. read more

I've stayed at many Hampton's since they are usually located in small towns that I stay in for business travel. The lobby and hallways are inviting and the rooms could use renovating, but overall, my expectations and experience was consistent with other Hampton locations. I know not to expect the best of the best when I choose this chain but it's sufficient and affordable, and they have free breakfast. Front desk staff was very friendly when checking in. WiFi connection was very spotty in my room, and it was non-existent outside near the pool (very close to the building, and still no signal at all). read more

I travel extensively for my job and became a diamond member in 6 months so I've seen a lot of these hotels. This Hampton leaves a lot to be desired. The lobby is the nicest part of this hotel. My room itself looked dirty when I walked in. The bathroom was disgusting. There was hair on the counter top and in the tub. There was a large stain around the drain of the tub that made it look like the tub hadn't been cleaned in years. The tub had also been resurfaced in some spots (instead of the entire tub) leaving the new coating to peel up in layers allowing dirt and water to get trapped in the holes. Mold was growing in those holes. The carpet was dingy as well. There aren't a lot of spare electrical outlets in the room and the lighting in the room is dark making it difficult to work in the room. Walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors pretty clearly. I'd recommend staying at another hotel in Waycross if you can. read more

Nice hotel, but I found a long hair on one of the clean bathroom towels when I checked in. I brought it to the front desk clerks attention they said they would show it to management. Management at that hotel is terrible after several email attempts and phone calls they never responded back to me. When you are in the hospitality business responding to your customers complaints is number one and they totally failed at that. read more

I thought $71.10 was a bit much for one night,however I wanted to come to Waycross,and go racing.The price was $71.10, I used my card to pay for the room.When I woke up the next morning they slipped a paper under the door that said had been charged $79.64,which is NOT what I agreed to.That is stealing. read more
