Our pull‑through site had full hookups (30 & 50 amp service) and plenty of room to maneuver, making setup easy and stress‑free. Each site is beautifully lined on both sides with magnolia bushes and trees, providing a surprising amount of privacy and a peaceful, park‑like feel. We also appreciated that each site has a separate spigot for washing your rig or vehicle, which is a thoughtful and convenient feature. One of the biggest advantages for us was the easy access to I‑95. We used this campground as a two‑night stopping point to break up our drive from Myrtle Beach to Miami, and the location was perfect--quick on and off the highway without the noise you might expect. The amenities here truly stand out. There are multiple bath houses and laundromats, all clean and convenient, plus a well‑stocked store with RV supplies and LP gas. The entire resort is handicap accessible, which is clearly reflected in the layout and facilities. There's no shortage of things to do--fishing on the lake, relaxing by the swimming pool, or enjoying shuffleboard, horseshoes, and the game room. The pavilion fire rings, dock, and conference center add even more versatility. What really sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. When we had an issue, they quickly referred us to a local mobile RV repair technician, who was wonderful and took great care of us. This campground is excellent as an overnight or travel stop, but it's so well‑kept, quiet, and amenity‑rich that we would absolutely recommend it for a longer stay as well. We would happily return.

The sites are extremely small, we have a 44ft 5th wheel. The sites haven't been mowed in weeks, grass/weeds are 2 foot tall in most places and the no see ums are insane! The dog park looks like it was an afterthought. For the price, I expected better. St Simons Island has been the highlight of this trip, however, we won't return!

Day use is a joke.No picnic tables, half the grills are missing and no water or electric is readily or convieniently accessible. The campground is quiet, but is ruled with an iron fist...and not very well. Paying customers should not be cursed at, sceamed at or accused of things. The hosts are rude, as is the general manager...when she shows up for work. The bathhouse is not sanitary. It is also a fire hazzard because of months of dryer lint being sucked into the ventilation system. Plus, there's not a single fire extinguisher to be found in the whole building. They nickle and fime you to the point of exasperation. They have been known to raise monthly rates by $100 without prior notice. Basic bathhouse maintenance...paper towels toilet paper, light bulbs, disinfecting and cleaning the counters, mirrors and exterior of the toilets is not done on a daily basis. Huge ant beds are a part of almost every site and throughout the park. There are no trash cans near any of the sites. There's really no common area. You may be warned about driving the wrong way on a one way road, but the hosts do it all the time. Rules don't seem to apply to them. Lack of daily site inspection and/or keeping sites clean and appealing. Gate is only accessible to guests, so you get to take managements word on the size and confition of sites. You have to go to the office if you want to check the sires out and they just tell you to walk around and look. They don't take you around to see them. There's much more (since I lived there almost 11 months), but my single typing finger has gone numb. Suffice it to say, that these are a few reasons I don't recommend this place. However, if it had competent management and the county really cared about it, it would be a really nice place to be.

The interior sites had a lots of openings. We called about one site and they said that site had "funny electrical problems" (more on that later). Day three there the site next to us had leaning water and electrical pedestal. I reached to straighten the water pedestal and it broke off in my hand and our sight was extremely flooded. The manager said I broke it but upon further inspection it just fell apart. The underground elbow was fully intact and the riser was also. It was just poorly installed with not enough pipe glue. We booked for a month but we're willing to just pay for a week and leave early but they would not provide a refund of any kind. After the flood the electrical pedestal was listing almost 30 degrees. NONE of the electrical pedestals are properly anchored according to NFPA70 National Electrical Code, you can literally wobbly every one of them. BEWARE!! THIS PLACE IS AN ELECTRICAL AND SAFETY HAZARD!

She took her time to support me with answers to my questions over the phone, as a new rv camper. Upon arrival with anxious kids in tow, we arrived without the correct plug to get power. Mr. Pete provided immediate assistance with a power plug adapter. The bathing house was clean and nicely decorated. Most important, the water was nice and hot!! I felt right at home and relaxed. There were multiple hooks to hang my bags and towel. There was even a nice space for me to put on make up. I will definitely make this my destination spot anytime we come to Valdosta for a "Wild Adventure" with clean and welcoming accommodations.
