The good about this hotel is that they had a room to rent, I guess that is worth a star (pretty sure a homeless man would also let me share his box for some money though, so take that with a grain of salt).
The first room (Yes, first..as in we had more than 1 for the 1 night stay) was bland and warm. The peephole was I guess drilled out and a large tissue was tucked in there.
I didn't mind as the shield in front was on, so nobody could pull it out from the other side. Turned on the Ac, got some food, ate and prepared for bed.
The room never got cool...it was becoming cooler outside than inside. I checked and tried to "fix" the AC (the filters were clogged to a nice black color, so I just removed the face so bypass) and still not getting cool.
Eventually I checked the outside and realized there is no air being drawn out. it was completely broken...a overrated white noise machine and fan. At 2am, I had to go to the front desk and ask for a new room. After lots of hmm'ing and hurr'ing I was given a second room. The key didn't work so I had to go back to the front desk. The woman (neither friendly nor rude) opened with a new key while I gathered my stuff and transported over.
The second room I was met with had a giant chunk of the ceiling fallen on the floor and bed. At least the air worked.
The carpet was wet and there was a bin collecting (now standing brown) water in the middle of the floor, and a old used Styrofoam coffee cup on the counter. At this point I gave up, shoved the ceiling off the bed and cranked the AC down. Got some much needed sleep finally. The morning shower was with very low pressure, the tap water tasted like harsh chemicals.
I know Quality inn is a mostly ironic name, but I wasn't seeking out fancy. This was however just a terrible experience (and I tend to just get beds to rest in when out on business..a nice bed, a clean room, working AC, and a good morning shower). They failed on all fronts, and the people never said sorry (not that they personally did, but as a sorry from a rep of the company) or even a thank you when I was being patient or polite in the face of the inept service.
I say if you are seeking a place to sleep and are not bothered about quality, skip the Quality Inn and find a nicer and cooler park bench. read more
