The room was clean and fresh when we checked in, but . . . We've stayed here twice before, but this will be the last time. The biggest problem was apparent dishonesty by the young man in the office. When asked about the breakfast advertised, he assured us there would be biscuits and gravy, pastries, cold cereal, and juices. In the morning - all they had was bad coffee. Nothing else. The young man in the office said they had a problem with a delivery. There were appliances there like a big multi-cereal dispenser, but no present breakfast. The second bit of low credibility was when we were looking for the ice machine and he indicated there had been an electrical problem the previous night and the machine was not currently working --but considering Sara C's review pic from Feb 2025 -"Out of Order. Across the Street Ice Machine Working" -I wonder if this is a continuous problem rather than a glitch from the night before. There were a few other problems: * The deadbolt was inoperable. The door seemed warped out of alignment and no amount of pushing or wrestling the door up or down allowed the dead bolt to engage. (We were tired, it was late, and we didn't feel like demanding a new room so we piled luggage next to the door as an alarm.) * The swimming pool was partially filled with brownish-green stagnant water. I remember the pool being out of service on a previous stay here, but don't remember if it was in this sad shape both of our previous visits. * One of the lights by the bed was burned out or otherwise nonfunctioning. The "Hotel" is situated conveniently on the highway we were traveling on, but we will look elsewhere if and when we are driving through Vernon again. read more

This hotel did a great job being clean. There was hand sanitizer throughout. There is a seal on your door which was really nice. Staff was friendly. They still offer breakfast. The beds could have been a little more comfy. The pad underneath kept sliding while I slept but that's a little problem. read more

Unfortunately this place I had a Tesla charger/EV charger (50amp) that they exploit for $120.00 a night. We had hardly any miles left, and needed help as we were stuck.... We stopped in the back, plugged in for about 22 min when the front desk lady came to harass us. There had been a huge fire and wreck causing us a massive detour. She didn't care one bit. My entire family, traveling to Amarillo for a funeral, she was so rude and no help what-so-ever.... Very disappointed in the character of people here. Luckily we made it to Quanah and found the kindest RV hook up owner that has a 50amp charger. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Go somewhere else. I'm sure they'd care and treat you much better than this joint. read more

I was driving from Albuquerque to Home at Lake Texoma. I know I got a late start and it got to where I could barely see from the halos from headlights. Pulled in around midnight and I got a nice, very clean room. Check in was easy and personable. I headed home the next morning but they did offer me a late check out as I got in so late. I will definitely stay here again as I travel quite a bit through here!! Thanks for giving my old bones a rest. I hope to enjoy more of the amenities next time. Stayed for 2-nights, needing a rest, while driving cross country, 3-30 to 4-1-19. Pros: * Tia at the front desk (day shift) is priceless. She's pleasant, remembers guest's names, is very helpful & goes out of her way for guests... really knows her job at such a young age. Please keep her on staff & pay her well... she's a definite asset. But, to the young, glum, couldn't-care-less girl, who checked me in in the afternoon... she needs a good dose of customer service training. She told me nothing about any amenities... I didn't know they had free breakfast 'til the early morning when I wandered into the elevator to leave to get a coffee (I could smell the bacon), which I also didn't know they offered 24/7 in the lobby. Nice, saved me a trip, but I'd have loved one the night before, too. They had a nice fitness room, pool & clean, working hot tub, which I found out about on my own, as well. When paying over $100/nt for a hotel... please... tell me about amenities when I check in. * Huge TV with a lot of channels, including HBO & varying movie channels. This may not be a lot to many, but I was on the road for days & exhausted, so as someone who doesn't normally watch TV, this was a bonus for me to lounge in the room for 2-days & just watch TV & surf the web for work. * Lightening fast WiFi... I work on the road, so this is a necessity & the reason I don't stay at hotels 1/2 price of the $110/nt hotels. * Decent breakfast, which is also varied day by day. Scrambled eggs are a staple (they're not great & tasteless, but edible... I think it's a mix, not actual eggs). First day was bacon, 2nd was sausage patties, both great. Some fruit (bananas, apples, sliced watermelon), hardboiled eggs each day, varying carbs to toast & sugar cereals if you've got a sweet tooth. The kitchen staff replenishes the supply regularly as it seems most take advantage of the breakfast & linger for a long time in the breakfast area. Coffee, however, is very watery, even the one labeled 'robust'. * There's a small 'store' next to the check-in counter with varying snacks, soda, water & even some pain products, like Excedrin. Same price as any store, so that's a bonus. I needed a Coke ($1.50) to nurse an upset stomach, so called the front desk to ask Tia if they had any... they did & you can either charge it to your room or pay cash. * WalMart is around the corner, but it's an awkward place to get to... use your GPS... you have to loop around underneath the highway, then drive on the access road. It's confusing to out-of-towners. Cons: * $109/nt cost... not horrible & going rate for a decent mid-level hotel, but it's still a lot, when I think of how long I need to sit at a desk for $100. 5* out of 5. A clean, solid hotel with a lot of amenities. read more

We were scared to go out in public due to covid so when we arrived I was happy to see that they take covid seriously!! The hotel was very clean and the staff were all great! They had a good breakfast selection which they made for you as social distancing is in effect, the pool area was really nice, they even have a fireplace outside. The WiFi was great and everything else but the Parking!! Parking was really really tight.. we left and came back and the whole parking lot was full, with only two spots left. Which was a tight squeeze with our big truck. We stayed on a Saturday so the hotel was really full. Other then that we had a great stay and would stay here again! read more

Exceptional hotel. We stayed in Vernon after reviewing how many hotels in Wichita Falls had bugs - ewe. We were greeted by the friendly front desk guy on the evening of June 1 (give that guy a raise!) and fresh cookies. Yum. Super customer service. This place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The beds were comfy, wifi works well and the pool and hot tub were great after a long day of driving. I really like that they wash the duvet covers and leave a sticky note to make sure you know :) There is a nice breakfast too. And a grab and go breakfast already packed up for folks who wanna hit the road. Great customer service by the woman who hosted breakfast. The one thing I would change about this establishment is the hours of the pool and gym. 10 am is late to open and 10 pm too early to close. If you are driving from either coast - you are on a different time zone and it would be good to get in a nice hour of exercise before you hit the road for another day of driving. If you ask for an exception - to work out a little before or after the gym opens/closes - you might get it. You never know unless you ask! read more

Elevators don't work. And they don't honor online published rate. AC didn't work either until they fixed it. On third floor, no elevator. I googled hotels in Vernon. I am a Hilton guy so I chose this one. Google had them at 102/night. They tell me 119/night when I get here. I show them google and they say that's Expedia but don't honor the rate. And even though elevators don't work, they still don't offer me the lower published rate seen on google. This place is crazy and they don't apologize for anything. Whatever you do, don't stay here. Go to Holiday Inn. read more

My night stay was on Saturday night, December 30, 2017. I checked in probably around 8 or 9 PM. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I got a good nights sleep, the room was clean and nicely furnished. When I checked in, the girl at the front desk was extremely courteous, and provided a nice friendly appropriate conversation upon check-in. she made me feel very welcome. I absolutely loved all the Texas decor around the hotel. The photos on the wall were outstanding, and I wish I knew who the artist/photographer was so that I could purchase some myself. I would definitely stay here again when I pass through Vernon, if I am needing a room. When I came through, I was absolutely exhausted, wasn't feeling well, and had just left Dallas because a family member was in the hospital with the flu. I was afraid I was coming down with it too, and felt it was too dangerous to continue to drive. The bed was comfortable, and I woke up feeling refreshed. The breakfast was very good, and the little lady who attended the breakfast was absolutely adorable. She made everything perfect. Tasty, clean, and will stocked. I had a very nice short conversation with her about her daughter being in nursing school and getting her masters degree. It made my heart happy. read more

Stayed two nights .. to/from Amarillo/DFW .. after later departures from both areas. Vernon is half way between our destinations & me, nor my spouse, care to travel at night. We got a king suite & loved it! upon entering the room, we were surprised by the long bar-type cabinet, complete w/a sink & frig. In the suite, a wood desk/TV separation, between the bed & sofa is quite unique. My spouse even commented, I wouldn't mind having a master bedroom designed like this". We had a comfy bed & slept well, despite an "fully booked" hotel. We would advise reservations, for sure! ** The breakfast area is large & clean, offering waffle makers, boiled eggs, fruit, cereal, etc. The first a.m., we had egg omelets & bacon, w/biscuits/gravy. The second a.m., we had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy. All delicious! ** The staff is friendly & made us feel at home. ** I did mention that the pillows weren't quite up to Hampton Inn's super comfy quality & the desk attendant apologized, explaining they were scheduled for a complete pillow replacement. ** Overall: Highly recommend! read more

Diamond Member. I spend over 120 night in hotels a year. The lady at the front desk during the day at the Hampton inn Vernon Tx. " Lois". Is/if not the most unpleasant person to deal with. She is extremely rude and very confrontational. I've been coming to this hotel for years and the staff in the past was always very welcoming and very friendly. Unfortunately things are not that way anymore. She has been very rude to many of my co workers. I've also seen her be rude to other staff members and customers as well. I'am extremely surprised that management allows this type of behavior to go on. It's just a bad reflection on the hotel the Hampton name and management. She should not be in the hospitality business. read more

Details in design, in customer service and just a great place to spend a night. As to design, you find things where you need them such as electrical outlets in the batthroom, electrical and charging outlets on the desk and beside the bed, and not bad to look at, except for the hallway carpet on second floor. The staff was outstanding both at the desk and in the morning breakfast area. Great people, great place to stay. read more

Great value for a budget price! Friendly and helpful staff, especially Tiffany with her warm welcoming smile! Hot and yummy breakfast with several options; scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, the usual muffins, bagels, cereal, and even the healthy choice of fresh fruit or hard boiled eggs. The room was nice with a modern feel, and lots of good movie channels to choose from! My favorite amenities were in the spacious shower! The shower head is nice and high up for the taller peeps, and there's a little ledge to put ur feet while shoving for the ladies!. My only additional advice would be to ask for a top floor room if you're a light and late sleeper like me, and put ur do not disturb sign on the door as the walls don't seem to be super thick, and housekeeping is on top of their game in the am! Lobby is really nice. The staff is super friendly. The rooms look recently remodeled. The bathroom is nice but only has a shower no tub to soak in after a long drive. Beds are comfy and everything looks very clean. They do have a free breakfast but we had to be on the road before it started at 0600. read more

I stayed here after driving for 12 hours and just wanted to sleep. I was originally going to stay in Wichita Falls but all the pet friendly hotels off the interstate looked sketchy so I drove on to Hampton inn in Vernon and upon my arrival I was glad I decided to. I was pleased to see a well-lit parking lot. Once I got into the room, me and my dog crashed and got a great night of sleep. The complimentary breakfast was decent- bagels, cereal, waffle, eggs, French toast sticks and juices. The coffee was also pretty good in comparison to most weak hotel coffee. The TV was nice with decent HD channels. If I am ever in the area again, I will be staying here. read more

We may give this place one more chance. We normally stay in Hampton Inns. We are silver Hilton members. Upon entering, cold coffee, cold 'hot' water. Our room had 2 hand & bath towels . We need at least 2 each. She refused to give us 2 paper plates and plastic forks---locked up she said. The young lady was sitting in the dining room with her friend talking or playing cards!!!! Today is Sunday, August 20th. We arrived at 5 pm. This Hampton Inn is fairly new, appeared very clean, accommodations are smaller than most Hampton Inn's. read more

The rooms are CLEAN and more importantly smell very nice. the beds were cozy, my mom and older brother and I stopped over for the night there and we all slept like we were in Comas.
