Went here for a staycation because of the free breakfast and indoor pool. Overall, a really great decision! Pros: - amazing, heated indoor pool. A perfect temperature and very clean. The pool room is pretty small, but when we were there it was easy to get it all to ourselves. The craziest thing is the pool is open until midnight! - really good coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. It was a dark roast and had a lot of flavor. We really appreciated being able to get coffee after dinner, or whenever we wanted - pretty nice location near a lot of shops and restaurants. We were able to see July 4th fireworks from our room - breakfast the first morning of our stay was really good! Omelettes were better than the Holiday Inn Express, and the sausages were restaurant quality. The staff was on top of it, stocking everything constantly. Good selection of juices and the waffle station makes the best hotel breakfast waffles with a lot of flavor. We appreciated that there were hashbrowns as well - staff was really kind and were always very helpful - clean, reasonably modern rooms with the BEST hotel TV I've ever used. It was very responsive and fast, without any of the usual frustrations. It also has streaming services you can sign in to. If you don't want to sign in, you can use Tubi or Pluto for free on demand movies, which is amazing. There are also free games to play together which is cool. - very quiet overall, even during the holiday weekend. We barely heard anyone else in the hotel except at the pool and at breakfast Cons: - 2nd day breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to the first day. Standard buffet scrambled eggs with little flavor, and no meat or potatoes! Just some biscuits and gravy, which were fine, but no comparison to bacon or sausage. My gf and I felt that, compared to a Holiday Inn Express, the breakfast options here aren't as good when there is no meat. The meat and omelettes were much better here than they are there, but when we had none, we realized the other options were pretty lacking. No good pastries like the cinnamon bun at HI, and limited yogurt, granola, and cereal options. If I was to pick one for consistent breakfast offerings, I would probably pick HIE. - weird $12 parking fee is kind of annoying and subtracts some of the affordability away from this place - rooms were kind of small, I felt, compared to a Holiday Inn Express, and the tv was a bit small. If this review were based on CJ alone, I would give 5 stars. He had excellent customer service, was professional, helpful, and did the best he could while clearly working without enough support. But based on the hotel itself, this would be 0 stars. The room was extremely unclean. The refrigerator, microwave, counters, remote, door handle, and multiple other surfaces were dirty and sticky. My mom's room also had a blood stain on the sheets. We were handed cleaning supplies because the room was so dirty that I ended up cleaning parts of it myself. Check-in was delayed even though rooms were supposed to be ready at 3 PM. On top of that, there were barking dogs and a basketball team running through the halls making noise late at night and again early in the morning. Staff tried to excuse the barking by saying someone was near the door, but if guests bring dogs to a hotel they should not be disturbing everyone else. The office manager was also not pleasant and came off dismissive when I asked a simple question about a 30-minute late checkout. Breakfast was disappointing and below the standard I normally expect from Hilton properties. I've stayed at multiple Hilton properties recently, and this was by far the worst. This hotel is A-okay for a night. First the negatives: ------------------ $175 plus tax is too much for this simple hotel. $12/night to park in a suburban mall lot with tons of spaces. The elevator smells strongly of melted crayons. The indoor pool has an overwhelming smell of chlorine in the air when walk in. The water is murky and needs to be cleaned. The water is not heated much. The 2 queen beds room had the bathroom door right near the front door so they crashed together often. The sink in the bathroom has the faucet at the corner of the sink so water splashes all over the counter every time you wash your hands. The beds are a bit springy and squeaky. Not too bad but not the most comfortable. And now some positives: ----------------------- The breakfast is available from 6am-10am and includes a waffle maker, bagels, English muffins, scrambled eggs, cereal and milk, yogurt and more. It's a good spread. The breakfast area is sunny and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is near all sorts of shops and restaurants. I was happy with my stay. The staff was nice & helpful. The entrance, lobby & breakfast area was well taken care of. Something you don't see a lot at smaller motel/hotels is: 1. Water in the lobby for guests, cold & iced. 2. Provided in room. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner & body wash. They were attached to the wall. 3. Complimentary breakfast was good & a lot of options. Make your own waffles, yogurt, juice machines, bagels, toast, eggs, biscuits & gravy. Etc. 4. CLEAN! The place was so clean. 5. Pet area with pet bags, etc. plethora of grass on the left & right. The worst service and experience I have ever had from an establishment from start to end, showed up there , the wrong room . Talked with the front desk . We will call her K . I explained I booked a king . She said because I booked with hotels.com , she couldn't change my room . Talking about a 2 cent difference in tax. I'm like are you kidding me! Then this hotel allows screaming and constant door slams at 11 am ... all night non stop , which the staff didn't seem want to stop , From the bed frames definitely need to be replaced to being on the lower level not seeming to have any sound Barrier hearing ever damn stomp and walk on the upstairs. I really don't do this but I just want everyone to know I arrived at Hampton in Tracy at 1:08 pm after a long flight. When I got to the front desk I asked the front desk if we can check in, she said we have a choice to pay $25 for that one hour or wait in the lobby till 2 pm . Please note that I am only leaving this negative review, due to a repetitive issue. I booked a room this past week for one of my employees. I filled out the CC Authorization form electronically. I got an email that it was received. I noticed a close to $800 charge on my personal credit card. When I got the folio this morning, they had charged my personal credit card. Second time this has happened. I spoke to Pritika today, just as I did last time this happened. Her attitude is less than desirable and she does not take any accountability for these issues. Clean room but remain dimmed inside. Only a few dim light fixtures & i had to sit in the lobby for more light to read my book. Arrived at breakfast around 8.30am, and barely any food. Apparently, there's only one employee in the entire hotel, staffing the lobby front and doing the breakfast as well as building maintenance. This place was so rundown, if you want a Motel 6 vibe this is your place. Honestly, a Motel 6 probably would have been much better! Very old! We found a sock by the couch from a previous guest. The toilet was leaking as soon as we walked into the room. They had to call their plumbers to come upstairs and fix it. Luckily, that helped, but they told us to not flush the toilet safe wipes. Toilet wasn't strong enough. I had to use an iron and it was so old, water leaked out of it and ruined my dress for an event that I was planning on attending later in the evening. Hallway carpets were very old and dirty as well. The elevator had trash cans and maintenance equipment next to it. So not inviting for the eye. Overall, I wish we would have stayed somewhere else. We have been using this hotel for some time when we visit Tracy which is about twice a year. We stayed this past weekend of 11/17/2023 and I'm no longer impressed. We were a late check in arrival, once we got to the room BOTH beds were an absolute nightmare. Both squeaked so bad in which it sounded as if the wood was broken. The front desk agent switched us into another room and in the new room 1 of the 2 beds also squeaked but not as bad as the first room. At this point we were beyond exhausted and settled into the room. The second room we were provided was warm and felt muggy. Trying to figure out the wall thermostat was an adventure as it was either to hot or to cold. I know I didn't sleep well the first night. The bathroom door did not completely shut which defeats the lock as one was able to pull/push open. The Breakfast selection for the first morning was simple hot items (eggs, biscuits and gravy), muffins/bagels, cereal, oatmeal, and waffles. My daughter did get to enjoy the indoor pool all to her self for a late night swim. I do like the fact that they do keep their pool open until midnight, she did complain that the water was cold though. The second night I slept well since I was still tired of late arrival, not sleeping well and getting up early the first morning. I will admit that I was disappointed by the breakfast selection for the second morning as it was the exact same options as the prior morning. I honestly was expecting a different hot item variety such as bacon or sausage, potatoes, eggs. I know in the past they have alternated breakfast selection each morning. With this new recent experience, my husband is no longer thrilled with the Hampton Inn in Tracy due to the beds. I truly hope that they fix beds, and please rotate breakfast. I will seriously have to evaluate if we stay here again at our next trip. read more

Checked in extremely exhausted. I have Diamond Status at Hilton's. The girl at the front desk said she put me away from the highway after I asked her several times. I also have in my profile away from the elevator. She said she looks at everyone's profiles to make sure she places them by their preferences. I laid down in bed. The traffic noise is terrible. Also my door is the closest to the elevator. I say know your product. Know what you're selling. A restful nights sleep and keeping your promises to your guests. My husband and I stayed here Jan 30 2020 and had a great experience. We interacted with at least four staff members and all were courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel is clean and quiet, and there were plenty of towels (90% of the time my husband asks for extra towels, but did not have to this time). This may not sound like much, but I really appreciated the wall hooks next to the shower, which I've not seen in a another hotel. Usually before getting into the shower, if you want your towel to be within reach, you have to hang it over the top of the shower (where it will get wet) or put it on the toilet tank or seat (gross, even if it's clean). Again, a very small thing, but it made my morning routine much nicer. Another positive that this hotel has that I wish more hotels would consider is good water pressure - not only was it strong enough to actually rinse all the soap off, but there were several spray options to choose from. The only surprise we had was a $10 parking fee, which I was surprised to see outside of a major metropolitan area; luckily, when they saw how surprised we were, the hotel waived the fee. If we ever visit Tracy again, this is the only hotel I would consider staying at. read more

I stayed here for a couple of nights and it was fine I guess. It is extremely small and old and smells weird everywhere and the rooms are pretty old, nothing new or modern looking at all. The tv isn't loud at all, if there are people talking and the tv is on then you won't be able to hear it and I feel like honestly it is so overpriced for what you are getting. Personally I'm not gonna investigate every single detail of my room but there were some spots (specifically the bathroom) that made the cleanliness of the room questionable. We are a HAMPTON kind family. They don't ever disappoint. Booked a room for our dad who came out to spend Christmas with us because we live in Tracy. It's not as big as the ones we usually go to but it was decent. Walking in, the door is pretty heavy so press the handicap button for it to open for you. Entering is nice and cozy with of course coffee and water to welcome you. Coffee was pretty good that evening. Next day-coffee didn't taste fresh. Clerk was friendly. Elevator a little dated. Rooms were clean, fresh smelling and homey. Breakfast was good as always. Recommend to all. read more

Enjoyed a quick overnight stay here in Tracy. The hotel had an indoor pool which my kids used. They loved having it all to themselves. The breakfast in the morning was just what we needed. Nothing too fancy, but it filled our stomachs. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants, which is nice. The walls are somewhat thin. Thank goodness we were at the end of the hallway so there was no one next to us. However, it was the room above us where we heard ALL the walking/heavy feet at 2am in the morning. It was soo hard for me to fall back asleep. The front desk was always willing to help and very friendly, giving us a call to make sure everything in our room met our needs. read more

I choose this Hampton over other options in Tracy for the 5 days a month I'm working in the area. The staff is consistently very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is well stocked with the standard fare as well as some healthy items (fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs). The rooms are clean but the "standard" is a little cramped; I think it is worth the upgrade to a slightly larger king room. The fitness room is modest but fine since I've never had more than one other person in there. (Plus it's the only hotel in Tracy with a fitness room.) I took off three stars due to few housekeeping issues of the room: Upon checking into the room, we found the following: 1. Dirty tissue in the bathroom floor and used cup w/ used bar soap . 2. Used towel that is still hanging in the bathroom 3. Ice bucket with water (half full) in the table 4. Sticky and dirty table. 5. Personal shampoo of previous occupant We didn't say anything to the front desk but managed to just dump the cup w/ tissue and used soap in the trash , and place the towel on the floor. I left an " encouraging" note to housekeeping when we checked out. Hope that this review will serve as a reminder to the staff that they should take cleanliness seriously. Was not notified of a $10 parking fee from Mike and was charged without permission. Mike also denied my state issued ID and insisted it be a license. When we asked Mike why it had to be a license he stumbled over his words looking for a lie. Mike was very rude and horrible. Just go across the street. When I called about the mysterious $10 charge on my card Mike said it was not his job to tell me about the charge and Expedia should have mention it. Expedia didn't offer me the parking... Mike did. He asked if we were parking there and handed me a yellow slip(perfect timing to mention the charge... no?) He was awful. read more

Checked in about 20 minutes ago. We need a room for one night as my husband is having surgery at 8 am here in Tracy and we live 90 minutes away. I am so pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and decor! It is apparent they have completely revamped the hotel with new everything. The room is immaculate. The decor is very attractive. The bathroom is clearly newly renovated. The reception area is super clean and the elevator was clean and smelled fine. We were checked in by Kayla and she was super cheerful and nice. I'm looking forward to the full breakfast tomorrow after I drop the hubby off at the hospital. Gotta say, I'm impressed. Highly recommend this place. read more

She was a customer service delight, and she made sure everything went perfectly. When she arrived, my mother was greeted by Donovan at the front desk, and he got her to the room where a goodie basket was waiting. She reported a clean room and great breakfast.
