I'm incredibly disappointed in my experience with Black Rose Bartending. DO NOT HIRE THEM! I hired…read morethem to bartend our wedding, and despite paying them in full for their services, they did not show up to our wedding! I tried contacting the owner Neva 4-5 weeks before our wedding date, and she never responded to phone calls, emails, or text messages for several weeks. Interestingly enough, she had no issue responding immediately to new inquiries during this time. I read other reviews for June and July of 2023 that she had also scammed other clients. I have no choice but to take this woman to Small Claims Court to get our money back.

The requirements were provided to the vendor before we signed the estimate. She said the requirements were not an issue. Yet, our wedding coordinator and us had to text and email for over a month to get her provide the COI. She finally provided it several days before the wedding, but it caused a lot of unnecessary stress. 2. She provided an estimate through a web portal. We made a payment through that portal, but then she told me not use portal and to instead pay by Zelle. She said I would be refunded in a few days. I went ahead and made another payment through Zelle, but I have not been refunded for the original payment despite several emails to her. It's been a month and a half. I had to file a chargeback with my back during our honeymoon because she was unresponsive.

It was the most beautiful day ever and I couldn't have do it without the wonderful staff at Discovery Bay Country Club. My vision was captured beautifully and I felt like I was living in a fairytale. Jenelle, Chad and I cannot thank you enough for everything that you did for us. Your professionalism and leadership helped make this day possibly and we cannot be happier or more grateful. We will be recommending this venue to our family and friends and hope to come back for future events. -Brittany and Chad Amundson

Joined in late 2019 and the decline of this place has been steady. What started out as a fantastic…read moremembership has been dropping in all areas.... amenities, course conditions, food & drink options and the vibe. New ownership had no clue how to run a club, so they asked a management company to take over... we thought "hey this might work"... NOPE; it got even worse. They let go our PGA pro because she was a female and the interim GM was extremely misogynistic. To make up for this and not be sued, they hired another female head pro... she's really nice. The Interim Gm is now back to being the Course Superintendent..... not very good at that either... dead spots in every fairway, tee boxes are round mounds of incline or decline, hard pack in bunkers, weeds in the fairways where grass should be, people even have signs on their back fences begging them to fix the grass, our driving range is supposed to be grass most of the time... better to call it "on weeds" than "on grass". We haven't had club wide tournaments in a long time - only men's, or women's club events... nothing club wide for everyone. The food was AMAZING... 5 years ago... We used to be able to get some great food after a round but now we get half a$$ed dishes. Ordered a burger in the bar and the patty was a frozen thin puck of leather... sent that back. They used to have the best chicken fingers, now their chicken tenders here are worse than wal-mart -- seems they order the same ones that chili's does for the kids meals. They had a special "potato skins" added one day... that photo is below... they were potato wedges with barely any cheese, mushy and sad. Same tired sh1t on the menu every weekend. The F&B Manager is lacking and doesn't seem to know how to run a bar. She removed all the member's favorite beers and wines from the club. She treats her employees that have been here longer than her like they don't know anything about what the membership wants. Events at the club have declined as well - no more new years events, member events start at 5pm on Wednesdays... if you commute, don't expect to make it, no more concerts, haven't had a prime-rib & lobster night in years. The response when we ask about anything -- "thanks for your feedback". Really the only thing keeping our membership here is the staff in the bar. We love the bartenders and the wait staff. The Management are running the course and club into the ground.

I don't come to Stockton often but finding little areas like this are a nice little change of pace. The Underground Arcade is definitely more on the retro side but a nice little place to host a party for young kids. The kids really enjoyed it and it was a nice change of pace from the brand name locations. This place offers a great value and while it's hard to find this place from the outside, there was ample street parking. They allowed outside food and the staff was over all helpful and professional.
