I'm incredibly disappointed in my experience with Black Rose Bartending. DO NOT HIRE THEM! I hired them to bartend our wedding, and despite paying them in full for their services, they did not show up to our wedding! I tried contacting the owner Neva 4-5 weeks before our wedding date, and she never responded to phone calls, emails, or text messages for several weeks. Interestingly enough, she had no issue responding immediately to new inquiries during this time. I read other reviews for June and July of 2023 that she had also scammed other clients. I have no choice but to take this woman to Small Claims Court to get our money back. read more

We had lots of issues with this vendor for our wedding. 1. Our venue asked for a customary certificate of insurance. The requirements were provided to the vendor before we signed the estimate. She said the requirements were not an issue. Yet, our wedding coordinator and us had to text and email for over a month to get her provide the COI. She finally provided it several days before the wedding, but it caused a lot of unnecessary stress. 2. She provided an estimate through a web portal. We made a payment through that portal, but then she told me not use portal and to instead pay by Zelle. She said I would be refunded in a few days. I went ahead and made another payment through Zelle, but I have not been refunded for the original payment despite several emails to her. It's been a month and a half. I had to file a chargeback with my back during our honeymoon because she was unresponsive. read more

DO NOT HIRE! Black Rose Bartending has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We hired them for a party and paid in full just to have them NOT SHOW UP on the day of the event. The owner Neva Contreras has not been returning our calls or text messages. If you look on the Better Business Bureau they have a D+ rating which explains a lot. I would never have hired this company if I would have seen all of the complaints online. Beware of being scammed! read more

Black Rose Bartending is a scam. Hired for a wedding. After being paid in full was not responsive to any communication or attempts to coordinate beverages for the big day. Had no problem responding to new inquiries for an event scheduled on the same day. Will say she didn't receive your money in attempts to have you pay her again. Maybe at one point this was someone who wanted to run a business with good intentions but that is clearly not the case now. Do not be scammed by Black Rose Bartending. read more

I was going to hire Black Rose Bartending for a wedding but after calling multiple times and leaving messages the person on the voicemail (sounded like Neva) never called back. After two weeks of this terrible service, I decided to look online at reviews to figure out what was going on. It was clear after looking around the web that this was not a reputable establishment. Neva has amazing positive energy, is very responsive, & supportive. Best decision for my wedding was to hire Neva and her team! Neva provided us with individual private cocktail tasting, she's very skilled & the drinks were very well balanced & delicious! We had sake cocktail drink on the menu since our wedding venue does not allow hard liquor & sake is a rice wine! We also hired her team for staffing/bussing services, they're all so polite & positive. They were able to set up my simple wedding venu decor. I recently hired Neva and Black Rose Bartending for a 40th birthday party, and Neva was so responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. We loved the unique cocktail options we could offer guests and that we were given a shopping list not only for the cocktails chosen but also for other drink options we were offering - so nice to have the guesswork taken out! Tristan was our bartender for the party and he did an amazing job. He was so friendly and accommodating, and was a great fit for our family and friends.
