The actual room not much better, a fall hazard going between the bedroom and bathroom with elevated threshold that could cause one to fall. And the TV stand and desk in the room have not been dusted since who knows when. This place is obviously not managed or is managed by people who don't give a rat's ass about anything. Why Marriott wants its flag on this property is anyone's guess. And don't eat breakfast, the trash cans haven't been emptied in a month or more. Best advice, stay away. Its in a complex with Fairfield by Marriott, Hampton Inn and Doubletree. Had dinner at Doubletree and while the lobby is old and tired, the food was good and the service good. Can't say anything about upstairs.

The hardest part was finding it , the sign is tiny and blocked by a bush till your right on top of it and it's located way back behind another building . They need a better sign . The room was spacious and my favorite part was the comfy couch , it's long enough to lay on and take a nap . I asked the front desk and they said they have two shuttles which each carry 6 people and run every half hour and both were full so there was no room on board for two hours before our flight. There was another patron that was arguing with them about the shuttle as well, she had called earlier and confirmed that there was room, and there was no longer any room. It ended up being a $20 Ride-share trip. Otherwise the hotel was decent enough. The staff was OK, not overly friendly and also didn't seem to really know what's going on some of the time. The rooms were clean and they have some seating downstairs in the lobby as well as outside, which many people were using along with a small area with food and drinks that could be purchased. The location is relatively convenient as it's fairly close to the airport. There is a Dunkin' Donuts directly next-door and a few other restaurants nearby.

We arrived late- around 10:30'at night-- and James and Christiana were both at the front desk. James was able to give my husband a great rate and Christiana was exceptionally warm, friendly, helpful and hospitable. Our room was refreshingly clean, as evidenced by its smell and the way in which the shower curtain was positioned.My only complaint is the towels are a bit rough and not so thick, unfortunately usually the standard due to excessive washing, etc. We went down for breakfast the following morning and was cheerfully greeted by Jenni B., who advised us to ask her if we needed anything. We wound up talking with this wonderful employee, an asset to this property. ( addendum: she was just as personable today, interacting and assisting all guests). The buffet was actually one of the best we've encountered ( we have been traveling for the majority of the last month and staying at Marriott, Hilton and IHG properties). This is the first hotel to have signs stating what's available, calories, etc. To be brief, the cut fruit was fresh, the breakfast potatoes excellent ( Jenni told me how they were cooked), and the caramel French toast bake decadent! It smelled like autumn...yum!!!!! There is a gym, which I didn't have the time to use, but was an open and airy space. There is an indoor pool and small hot tub, which I saw some guests enjoy. There is an nice and inviting lobby / sitting area, with a beautiful fireplace surrounded in ledger stone, and a restaurant: bar, which we went to for drinks last night ( see Maplewood Bar and Grill ), and Alyssa the bartender was yet another exceptional employee. One negative is that our room was not serviced ( bed made, towels changed, etc) on our first full day. I informed Christiana who was back on duty and she said she'd take care of it. And she did: when we arrived back in our room a few hours later, it was clean, etc. The real value of this place is the aforementioned staff who truly made this stopover fantastic.

The people who checked me in and out were fast, friendly and knowledgeable about any questions I had. I had a single queen, with microwave and mini fridge, all I could ask for really. Some storage space that includes drawers and a closet, desk and its own desk chair. Honestly, they could probably put a little couch or something in there, the room was spacious enough, it probably wouldn't be in the way. The hotel was busy most days, and the bathroom was kind of big as well. I don't have people change my sheets and clean my room every day, but I'm glad when I did need things replaced, staff were on it! I believe they offered breakfast, which I didn't partake, because I don't wake up early enough and sleep until I must leave for work. But they also had a little bar built in as well which I wish I would have tried at least once, but maybe next time!

The walls are paper-thin (I could hear clear conversations from my neighboring guests through either wall) and sound carries easily through the building. The doors all auto-slam to close, and there is music piped in through the hallways which seeps into the rooms. I had a white noise machine with me and it didn't mitigate the fact that the noise was really disruptive and loud. The staff, however, is pretty great, and the breakfast is a good spread of various foods, from sausages to eggs to toast/pancakes and oatmeal. The location is fine (felt very safe) but the building is basically standalone on a piece of property, so you can't walk to anywhere interesting, even though there are shops and restaurants not even a mile away. If you'd prefer to wander or are only relying on Uber/Lyft to get around, perhaps stay somewhere else.

Graceful old-fashioned lobby, tasteful decoration in the original style of the hotel (I suspect Home Depot). Room was comfy and clean (the whole place was spotless) including lots of towels and hangers. Hotel clerk had a great suggestion for a local diner that delivered for free! Only downside was the back door ramp, which was extremely steep and left little room for the doors (both had to be unlocked with hotel key) to open without the baggage cart careening down said ramp. It's retrofit into the old building, clearly. God help you if you had to maneuver a wheelchair or walker up or down it. The front entrance has stairs! On the upside: free parking, convenient location, clean, comfortable, seemed to be a safe location, good price. I'd definitely stay there again, and try to bring in only as much as I could carry in one trip.

I had extra charges on my account. I made my reservations through Agoda (couldn't remember when…read moredriving home, upset about the extra charges). I had a charge from them and a direct POS charge from the hotel, which the bank handled. The hotel denied it was them, even though the bank statement showed otherwise. The manager seemed to try to help, but kept stating it was from Expedia. I do not know if she was honest in her cluelessness. Expedia told me they're scapegoats all the time. I'm not sure who to believe. The manager showed me an Expedia PARTNER database. I assume it may be a central PARTNER database with Expedia, but she kept saying 'Expedia'. I called Expedia, and they stated it was not from them. Agoda stated they only had the one original charge. I never made a reservation that night with Expedia. I don't care in the end as long as it disappears. However, I am not sure of the honesty there. Next, when we checked in, we were with other families, and we had to wait a long time in the front doorway for someone to come. Then, when 3 of us checked in, we were given a dirty room. The family behind us was given the same dirty room as ours, even though it was STILL assigned to us. The front desk kid said he should fire the cleaning person for lying about the rooms, as he was unprofessional. The cleaning staff is also not the one who put two families in one dirty room. He did give us a clean room after, but I still wonder if that is the direct POS charge from the hotel. I never leave reviews unless it's a great or bad stay. I will stick with Marriott for now and not try to save a buck.
