Metal screw found on the carpet floor
    Rigo M.

Customer service and staff experience was great. Breakfast was great, but when you find a sharp screw on the floor that you could have stuck yourself with while walking barefoot in your room is No Bueno. And I'm so glad that I didn't find the mess on the side of the bed until the next morning. So what I am saying is housecleaning needs to pay more attention to detail.

Was very pleasantly surprised! Great bagged breakfast as well as other options available. Despite these horrific COVID times, this hotel delivered far and beyond what I was expecting. Clean rooms, great A/C, great breakfast and decor. Not to mention the staff was very kind and accommodating!

I have to say....from Big Spring,TX to Pecos, TX.......the only thing you see for miles & miles & miles are Oil Wells & Hundreds & Hundreds of Massive Wind Turbines.....&, amazingly enough, we saw Very Little Wildlife! There's not much to look at off I-20, leaving Strawn, Texas to Pecos, Texas! Pecos,TX is Home of the Worlds 1st Rodeo...AKA " Cowboy Fall Off " ! Finally......We were sooooo glad to pull into the Hampton Inn Pecos! Such a nice clean hotel, with very friendly & accommodating folks! The King Suite was very comfortable, clean, large, cool, beautiful decor & it had a large clean nice bathroom / dressing area! The only problem I had with this particular Hampton Inn, was the rate. It was $180.00 per night....with tax it came to $202.00 for (1) night. This was a Monday....not a weekend. Waaaaayy too much! We paid less than that for a beautiful resort / boutique hotel per night! I believe that the choices are sparse, for a nice new hotel in Pecos,TX. I made a reservation because I trust Hampton Inn. I knew the hotel would be nice......the price Was Not! That was my one & only complaint......everything else was GREAT! We're off to the Ft. Davis Mountians! = - )

Hampton Inn is always our choice far away from home on a road trip. This location is very neat and super clean. Good customer service from the front desk that greets you, as you enter the lobby not knowing if they have any rooms available for a night to sleep. For the love of coffee, they have excellent choices of tea and fresh brewed coffee's available free 24/7 in the lobby. The waiting area and dining area has modern look and homey atmosphere. The Suite 1 King, 1 Love Seat was super clean. Don't leave without free hot breakfast. http://hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/texas/hampton-inn-pecos-FSTPCHX/dining/index.html

Very nice service. Excellent food. Fresh cookies every night. Rooms were clean and fresh. I would stay here again. I prefer it to the one in Carlsbad.

And honestly it was a good choice, I think this might turn around my feelings toward Hilton that Doubletree in Toronto made me feel . The gym was good, breakfast was good in the morning. They provided light snacks and beer in the evening. The room was big and if I was staying long term I think it could be nice. The only down sides were that I had a towel with what seemed to be mold spots on it like the towel was maybe folded while still wet, and the shower head looked like it rarely gets cleaned.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was hot and fresh, coffee was hot and good. My only issue was the AC. There is a thermostat on the wall and you would think this controlled the AC, well, it does not! We didn't sleep very good because it would cool down then get very hot, we adjusted what we thought was the thermostat to the lowest setting and fan to on, but this did not work, finally at 3 am and sweating in bed I got up and looked at the unit under the window which is usually controlled by the thermostat on the wall. It was set to 74°. I adjusted it to 70° with constant fan, THIS finally fixed the issue, unfortunately I had to get up in 4 hours to leave. So if you're going to stay at this establishment, DO NOT USE THE THERMOSTAT ON THE WALL!

The other one is an actual hotel and doesn't accept dogs. The Swiss Clock Inn is configured in a U-shape. You can pull up and park right in front of your motel room. Inside the U is a grassy knoll with picnic tables and a gated pool. It is perfect for anyone traveling with a dog. We enjoyed walking around the U and my dog also liked having access to a grassy area to smell and explore. Plus, just a few minutes walk behind the motel, you will find a gated dog park that is part of the city for both small and big dogs. Also in the center of the U is the Alpine Restaurant. You can get meals here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many locals frequent this restaurant. As a guest of the motel, you will receive a coupon for a free breakfast buffet. It has the usual hot and cold items that you find at the BW chain. While the breakfast is free for hotel guests, bring some cash to tip the waitstaff for your table setup and frequent replenishing of food items. The room was clean and comfortable. I slept well and was not disturbed by any other guests even though it was a weekend night. While I would have preferred to have made the drive all the way to El Paso, I was thankful that BW had a dog friendly hotel in Pecos, TX where we could stop for the night. I will probably end up staying here again if I drive back to Dallas this way.

Ohhh lala, I found another treasure in this piece of caca town…read more You can drive past this hotel 20 times and swear you might be getting into something bad since you passed the other hotels on each side and think you will have a better choice. Truth be on the fact is the other hotels are decent inside and out but you might be paying out your butt unless your company is paying for your room. Forward to La Bonita Inn and Suites, it does not look like much from the outside since the parking lot has a lot to be desired as well as the marquee sign looking plane Jane but step inside and you will notice a transformation to updated Motel as well as the rooms. If you work out of town a lot like I do and stay in various hotels/motels, you know that feeling when you've been tricked because the outside of the hotel looks Grand and lot of flowers and lights and then once you get inside you are greeted with cracked corners, mildew bathrooms and semi bald carpets with TV's halfway working and air conditioning heating systems barely working? Well somebody got it right this time, it looks like they started from the inside and are working their way out. The rooms that I have stadium in two consecutive nights number 107 and number 108 were very clean, pleasantly placed furniture, new TVs and amenities. Maybe I have not stayed at another really good hotels but what caught me off guard was the field liquid hand soap dispensers in the restrooms by the sink and in the showers. You get hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. You do not need to go to the store and buy your necessities unless you are picky about your fragrances. Another Edition that I like about these rooms is you get a medium size refrigerator, not a winky dinky unit that you can barely fit a loaf of bread, mayonnaise and sandwich meat in but a really nice eyes refrigerator! Probably the timing that I've been here but the hallways are quiet at least to say, no slamming doors, no Rugrats running up and down the hallways and for Pete's sake no x-rated moaning sounds coming from my neighbor's walls. They do not have a hot breakfast here like you might be expecting but at least it has a waffle iron that you make your waffles in Houma a toaster and your usual continental breakfast items. Message me if you are in town and want to know where a really really good hot breakfast with fried eggs and omelets are. There is a laundry room with about four units in there. The cost that I saw was a dollar twenty-five next to it is a really good working ice machine unit. For your snacking pleasures there is a interior convenience store if you want to call it that for your snacks, chips or whatever. Don't expect too much from there. Front desk personnel when I checked in had decent attitudes, no qualms there. In short do you know what I like the best about this Motel? On discounted sites you will be paying around $62 that's including tax, fees Etc that's where the other motels or stayed around would be around the $80 mark.

The breakfast buffet was actually free because I was staying at the Best Western motel. I received a coupon for the free breakfast when I checked into the hotel. She will also ask you what you want and bring you your drink even though coffee and juice are included. It is nice service and worthy of a tip, so bring your wallet and show up in something other than your PJs. The staff are frequently replenishing the food in the buffet area, so the food is always hot and nicely presented and the area is clean. The buffet includes both hot and cold items. There are scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and a do-it-yourself waffle iron. You can also load up on fresh cut fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, cereal, toast, and pastries. Since it is a buffet, I'm assuming you can go back for seconds, but I didn't try since I loaded up my plate the first time around. I'm not sure what other choices are available in Pecos, but this one seemed to attract plenty of locals for breakfast. They apparently serve lunch and dinner too. The back area of the restaurant looks like an outdoor tiki bar. The patio has surfboard tables and appears to be a great place to get drinks with friends after work.
