We've spent many Christmases, New Years, and July 4th weekends here and really appreciate the kind and generous staff. When we were there on July 4th, one of the staff members personally helped my older and not-very-tech-saavy grandmother reach me after forgetting my cell number and calling the front desk instead. She went above and beyond the call of duty in making sure my grandmother reached me - even personally walking over with the hotel's landline phone. All the staff we've worked with over the years (~5+ years) have been fantastic. Our rooms are always very nice, clean and quite spacious with a large bathroom and shower! The free breakfast is always tasty (especially the Texas-shaped fresh waffle) and the "happy hour" was an unexpected treat! Looking forward to staying here again at the next family holiday. Great location near the Wal-Mart and walkable to Chili's when we need a drink after all the family time (just kidding - I love y'all!).

It's always very clean and the people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. One of the ladies in particular took the time to remember my name and now greets me every time I check in. Their gym is not the greatest (it's super tiny), but it does the job. I'm probably one of the only people in my company who actually enjoys the free breakfast, especially the little veggie omelettes and pancakes. There is this super sweet, friendly lady handling the breakfast buffet who always says good morning to EVERYONE. I love it. As far as the rooms go, I've had good experiences to date, but I especially appreciated today. I don't like to be one to complain, but when I arrived my room smelled of stale smoke. I tried to get over it and went to use the gym. When I came back to the room, I just couldn't stop smelling it. I called the front desk and, without hesitation, they immediately met me with a new set of keys cards to a different room. This really shows they care about the customer's comfort. Wow so many broken things in there! Kept getting woken up in the middle of the night because crazy people kept knocking on my door and kicking it!! But this was the first Motel 6 I've been in that had a microwave and a refrigerator inside the room!! This was also the first Motel 6 I've been in that had hardwood floors!! Now, I know it's been quite some time since I've stayed in a Motel 6, maybe they did a facelift on all their properties!! Check in was quick and friendly!! The place was fairly quiet and parking was very easy!! No doubt I would stay here again!!

The room had a fridge and microwave which was convenient. The room also stayed a good temperature all night. It was quite dark even with all lights on. Some surfaces seemed clean, but the fridge/micro area looked like they hadn't been wiped down in quite a while. There was hair in the bathtub and dirt on the shower walls that came off with a washcloth so, nobody is properly cleaning the showers. I'd also like all hotel staff (not just here) to consider their visitors. Please don't put a woman traveling alone all the way in the back furthest from the office. Put us near the front and closer to active areas for our safety please.
