Its a nice hotel. Nice bar/restaurant area but staff is lacking. Overly priced food and drinks. No one ever fills the towels in the pool area. I called and told staff there were no towels. Two employees arrive to 'fill' them. Delivered TWO towels. One of the TVs in our room didn't work. read more

** I will update this IF the situation changes. I checked in 5 hours ago. The satellite is out & after 3 calls to the front desk, I'm realizing that the response I'm getting seems - pretty "rehearsed".... and a lot like "been there done that" with guest before me. Call before you book & make SURE the Satellite/TV works (if that's something that important to you). Room is clean & in a really good area of town. Chic-fil-a & Walmart just .2 miles away. A lot of businesses on this strip. I would gladly stay here again- but I will call about the TV situation before I book. (They will probably lie - like I feel they have done all evening) read more

TRIGGER.. if you are woman 45-55 and feeling the "pause"- hot flashes this is NOT FOR YOU! Thermostat only cools to 68° MAX and even in January/February found it very uncomfortable to sleep or occupy the room. Pros: Kitchen=Good, could use a toaster oven or air fryer, nice full-size refrigerator and two burner stove with microwave and dishwasher. Bathroom=clean, good water pressure!! FREE LAUNDRY was an added bonus! Guest services and room service were amazing and attentive to every need. My only suggestion is in a Southern humid state, please revamp your AC. Overall-- B- read more

This hotel is still being remodeled from the hurricane. Inside and out. The pool is full of nasty green water, algae, and trash. The first room they put my husband in had plumbing issues. When he asked someone to come fix it, they told him that room always had that issue and they couldn't fix it. So he requested a new room. The new room smelled so strongly of cat pee that I had trouble sleeping that night. It's like the entire room- carpet, drapes, and bedding were sprayed by a male cat. The hole where the door Latched had lichens growing in it. Hopefully things will be better once it gets fixed, but for $225 a night, I expect a lot better. Honestly, I've stayed in trashy motels that smelled better. One thing that was good was the breakfast. The employees were extremely nice, but I did have to go looking for them when I needed assistance. read more

Overall a pretty decent hotel. Pros are the hotel was remodeled within the last year so interior is nice. The gym is pretty big for a hotel gym. However some of the cons. The hotel can smell like mold and grease in certain parts. The elevator feels like it's going to drop at any second and takes about 5mins to get from on floor to the next. read more

This is what greeted me tonight upon check in after work. That and a filthy microwave that couldn't be used. Front desk's response? "I'm sorry". read more

Hampton Inn Houma - Hotels Near Me - Houma, Louisiana

I travel to Hoama A LOT and stay in hotels most of the time even though have family here so have been in most of the hotels. This time I chose Hampton for the wife and myself to enjoy our personal time while in town. Wife has to pee as any man knows they do with any length of drive so we pull up and walk in she goes to use bathroom in lobby and is under construction so that's a no go but no biggie just let's get to room... We started the check in process with a 20 minute wait before someone showed up to the counter and not exaggerating long enough for us to call not only the hotel but look up and try calling corporate! Finally someone shows up we do the process quick and easy as should happen We get to the room wife runs to bathroom does her thing and toilet paper is not where it should be but metal parts and roll holder on ground fell and paper under counter area so she manages to get done I call desk and no answer so I walk up there to tell them about it and guess what nobody there I wait about 5 min hope to at least let them know about that issue but I give up we have plans. Get back to room and temp is set to 79 so room is hot and people know Hoama is the swamp 79 is not good for a room here. That's end of the negative comments for the first night so here is positive the room is clean bathroom is a little wore but clean I personally will choose some other hotels in town before I come back here but if in a pinch I will come back as long as I don't prepay and do not have to wait for any help from front desk read more

Staff was very friendly and happy to help with anything you needed. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lacking in selection but was fresh and very good. read more

It was my first stay at Hampton! I was truly impressed when I walked in and it just kept getting better! Georgia the lady behind the counter was very sweet on the phone and in person!! As I was checking in another woman came in and started setting up a small buffet, this was on Thursday they do it three times a week she told me. Everything I ate was pretty darn good! I admit it was the aroma of fresh baked cookies that called to me!! That was just the start! Meat balls, chicken wings and jalapeño poppers!! A verity of chips and cheeses. YUM!! Then off to the room very clean nice and cool, tons of space!! The beds were amazing I slept great!! I won't stay in any other hotel in Houma and I have stayed at most of them!! Keep up the great work Hilton!!! It may cost a bit more, but for the money it's worth it!! Best Hot breakfast I have had at any hotel without having an actual restaurant inside of it. If you think about it you get two meals on the days they do the buffet for free to add to the value and off set the extra cost of your stay! read more

Love this Hampton. Go out of town on business once a month and I will drive out of the way for a Hampton. Always have great service, value, and amazing beds. The breakfast isn't anything to write home about, but having a decent, free hot breakfast in the morning just seems to make the day better. The coffee is also surprisingly good. read more

After staying at the Fairfield Inn a couple of weeks ago and not liking it. I tried the Hampton Inn this trip. Much better hotel. Hotel appears to have been remodeled not too long ago. Across from the lobby is where they have their breakfast in the morning and happy hour in the early evening. Plenty of seating was available. Breakfast had a broad selection of items and each morning had someone actively working to ensure supplies were maintained. I didn't check out the happy hour beyond seeing they had some finger foods, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip in addition to wine, beer and a few soft drinks. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Water in shower was good and hot. If I had to complain about something it would be that you have to be patient when trying to go south on MLK but that isn't something the Hampton folks can fix. read more

I've been really happy with our stay here so far very good service my room was much cleaner than some hamptons I've stayed at in the past! Also across the street is a Waffle House, Golden Corral, STARBUCKS, Ross, raising canes, dollar tree, TARGET, CHICKFILA, etc pretty awesome location if you ask me! Took off a star for a few minor mishaps not really worth mentioning :) read more

Stayed here while in Houma for a wedding. While it didn't look full, we were told that the only available rooms were doubles. Whatever. We needed it so we went ahead and rented it. The bed was REALLY comfy and the towels were good size. Now onto the bad...the a/c was incredibly LOUD! Good thing I drank enough to be able to sleep quickly otherwise that would have kept me awake all night! The coffee in the room was absolutely horrible. Didn't even try it in the lobby, went to Starbucks across the street. Overall I'm not sure if we would stay here again. Houma has way too many hotels to choose from and although the coffee here isn't necessarily a deal breaker that air conditioner unit definitely is! read more

This hotel is only lacking 1 star because the carpet was sticky. That is a pretty disgusting quality, but the staff and ease of service fully make up for it enough to not even care. Realistically I should have informed the front desk about how gross the carpet was, but they were so accommodating in getting our joining rooms 2 hours early, that I have no room to complain. The one woman breakfast staff was also very considerate of my 16 month old. I felt like I could live here. There was 24 hour tea set out and coffee out moat of the time. There was cucumber water at the entrance. It was a very welcoming place to stay. I will always stay here if ever possible. read more

I have stayed in this hotel 3 different times and each time its one problem or another. There is a video on YouTube that shows how loud the a/c was. I asked to change rooms but the very large desk clerk said she couldn't help me. So you may want to find a different place to stay. And it smells of musk, sweat or mildew read more

Due to COVID quarantine requirements most hotels (including the Homewood Suites, my first choice) was sold out. Therefore, before making plans to visit with my family I looked up the hotel situation and made plans only based on rooms being available at this hotel. (Only two other chain hotels had availability, but I would not have made plans that included stays at those specific hotels- I prefer Hilton chain). After booking my room and making plans with family, a couple of weeks later I was emailed to call the hotel. After several non-answered calls, I spoke to someone at the front desk who informed me that they contracted out the hotel and I was being walked. This is the first time this has happened to me (being a Hilton diamond member). The hotels that they wanted to place me in were the ones I would not have made plans to travel to Houma based on those choices. I am very disappointment with the hotels decision to contract out rooms already reserved over a holiday. I will not be booking to stay at this hotel again! read more
