. Stayed here 3 or 4 times the past few years. Not even close to what is used to be. So today, Went to use fitness center. Smelled moldy could not breathe, stuff was old and beat to death. Some broken. Nice. Leaking walls, windows and ac unit. Not sure what is growing in the bathroom. Doesn't look to healthy. And last but not least, bedding. Hamptons were always known for great pillow, sheets and mattresses. Not here, the exact opposite. Cheap pillows, sheets like sandpaper, and cheap mattresses. Top it off, no coffee in the hotel. In my 40 years of business travel, I've never heard of such a thing. Ever. Anywhere. So now, tomorrow morning, when it's about 20° outside, I have to go drive to find coffee. I am in awe. Beyond bad. Had I known this ahead of time I would not have stayed here. Spare me with the construction excuse. I will drive the distance to another property next time. Yikes. This is almost a Motel 6 or a Knights Inn. I anticipated a weak, tepid apology. You did not disappoint. read more

Get the heck out of this nasty hotel and head back to New York. They charge the same regular price doing renovation at this hotel that keeps you up at night. They serve breakfast totally too early. It is really not your money worth to stay at this location in Henderson, North Carolina. read more

Did you hear about the bed bug band? They mostly play covers I implore you to stay very far away from this location. My mom went to the emergency room with bites and the Hotel did nothing to make things better. I am a Diamond member and twice I was told that I would get a call from a manager...72 hrs later...did they call me to talk to me about how they treated my mom? No. Stay anywhere else but here. My mom went to the emergency room with swelling. One good note for you if you stay, the emergency room is across the street. What I would have done? Not charged a Senior Citizen retiree on a fixed income that is excited to be in town as a guest of honor at a Church convention for her room, not made her stay in that room any longer, called the Diamond member that booked the room for his mom as the desk agent said the "DM" ( what is a DM?) Would call me that night that my mom went to the emergency room. The D.M. was Definitely Missing. Then they finally went to the room and my mom had to request the bedding to be changed as they were not going to change anything while keeping her in the room. QuickRoad Trip to a local vineyard landed me in a one night stay at this Inn. I enjoyed my stay at this Hamptons Inn. The front desk was helpful and courteous over the phone and in person. The facility was impeccably clean and my room was spacious and Sanitized!!! I love that feeling of breaking that sanitized seal on your room door prior to entry. It gives you a sense of security. The sheets were soft and pillows fluffy! The room was stocked with an assortment of FREE snacks and beverages. Check in time is at 3pm and check out is at noon. Breakfast is included with your stay. There is an assortment of fruits and pre packaged breakfast food items such as muffins and cereal. A hot breakfast option is included daily but will be served to order upon request. The scrambled eggs and London broil hash that was served on this day was edible but nothing to right home about. Outside pool is not open for the season!!!! Hopefully that will change. Parking is plentiful! I have no complaints about my stay but what I did find that was quite pricey and difficult was ordering Uber eats late at night. I was gauged and charge $44 for a medium pizza and a 10 wings from a the nearest gas station but at 10 pm it hit the spot. . S/N: Be mindful that in this town there is no Uber to catch a ride. read more

The lighter skin black man that works night shift was very rude and nasty towards me. I am driving by myself as a female and simply asked if I could use the restroom because other places around the area seem to be closed. He rudely said no, you can't use the restroom. We don't have any public restrooms, I then asked OK well, do you know anywhere that I can use the restroom because everything seems to be closed and then he says oh there's a hospital across the street very rudely and I'm just thinking like who goes to a hospital to use the restroom. They do have a restroom. He could have been nice and let me use it instead of being so rude and I hope the remainder of his life is the way that his customer service was towards me tonight. read more

Dirty our room reeked of cigarette smoke and it's a non-smoking hotel we've given it several tries and we just find it not clean

I am a Hilton guy and have been Diamond forever. I also travel to many smaller towns so I hit a lot of Hampton Inns. While I didn't expect much in a smaller town, this place is one of the least impressive Hampton Inns I have seen. I can deal with dated hotels, but the place is also dirty. The carpet in the room is sticky and it really doesn't matter the room as my whole team (8 rooms) have said the same thing. Except to shower and sleep, I won't remove my shoes in the room. Breakfast is standard for a HI, not bad but nothing special. The desk was dirty when I checked in and hasn't been cleaned yet even though the room has been "cleaned" twice during my stay. Not sure if there are any better options in Henderson but I will see when I come back up in a few days. Not staying here again. read more

I became a Hampton Inn fan after staying at various Hampton Inn locations last month. For me, it's the breakfast that makes it a winner. Why, you ask? Well, for starters this place offers Chobani yogurt, Chobani smoothies and fresh juices! You can also make your own waffles, although I wasn't a fan of the banana bread or vanilla flavored batter. Plus they serve an egg dish, a side of meat and even French toast. Oatmeal and cereal is always an option. You can also enjoy coffee or tea at any part of the day. I am a fan of the Hilton brand, and our hotel stay was comfortable. If I can get a good night's rest and shower, that's a win. It can get crowded here, like it did when we were here on a Sunday. You can also tell the hotel got a makeover, but the hallways and elevators still show their age. read more

This hotel is really nice and they have done some upgrades since the last time i stayed a few years ago. This hotel has a small pool that only goes to 5 feet, a small gym, and a business center. The assistant manger and the rest of the staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast we ate Saturday morning was delicious and the two attendants helped make our waffles and made sure my family and I had everything we needed. The maple sausage was delicious along with a great selection of fresh grapes and cantaloupe. They also gave my 2 year old niece a cute light up duckie to play with while we ate. Also let it be known that they had fresh baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies at the front desk which were free and a great treat. read more

To be honest i didn't have much expectations since i was here to visit family. I ended up picking this location because it's near most of my family members. The hotel is really nice. The staff was soo sweet during the whole stay. I knocked a star because i wasn't feeling the breakfast too much. I honestly think i got not so fresh batch since i did go 30 mins before it was over so i can't really blame the hotel. Eggs don't taste good after a while lol but they have a nice selection from hot food to yoigurt smoothies. Free coffee & hot chocolate 24 hours && they have free cookies at 5pm. This hotel is outdated and not inviting. They are in the process of updating the property with the same drab colors and furnishings. However the lady that worked the front desk during check in was amazing. Her name is Simeko. People were mad and tired. There were several people waiting for their room. Simeko was working with a client who was angry and not very nice. My hat is off to her, she never lost her composure. The hotel is a two star at best. Simeko is a 5 star. read more

The price I paid was reasonable for that amount of room. Bed was very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. I enjoyed my one night at this hotel. Bed was clean and comfortable, as was the whole room. The Ac was difficult to set, so I got a little warm at times. The bottom of the tub has a curve to it, so I almost busted my ass getting in the shower. The only issue that got under my skin was the attendant. When we checked in she was very inattentive and acted like she was annoyed by us being there. After we got ready for dinner and headed out, she gave us a very enthusiastic "have a good evening!" A family reunion brought me to Hampton Inn of Henderson North Carolina. As the previous reviewer stated, this is a clean, decent Hampton just off 1-85. It appears as if Henderson is a place for family reunions, and the hotel was appeared to be booked. However, I have two reasons for my two star rating. 1. The check-in procedure. The male attendant at the front desk appeared to be a little overwhelmed with all of the incoming guests. When I initially attempted to check in, he quickly responded with my room was not ready. Thankfully, another woman who appeared to be in charge of making sure the rooms ready, inquired what room was I do go in, and advised that the room was indeed ready. However, my in-laws were not so lucky. Despite calling a day prior to confirm/review that they had two rooms reserved next to each other. One of which was a king suite, and the other a double bed suite; the hotel was not prepared with their reservation. They were eventually checked in over a hour passed the standard check in time, and given two rooms with two king beds. They have three children so a roll away bed was also put into one of the other rooms. "This was the best that the front desk attendant could do for their reservation that was made over two months ago." 2. Towels. Towels are a HUGE pet peeve for me! I hate when hotels are stingy with towel distribution. The Hampton Inn only gave us two towels for our hotel room. UGGHH... When I called the front desk to request more towels, the front desk attendant stated that he could have more towels sent to our room. The attendant was perfectly polite, but for whatever reason I did not believe him. This led me to open the door, walk down the hallway, see a random house keeping cart with clean towels and grab a few. No one ever did deliver towels to our room. I did not call the front desk to address the issue. What's the point? However, check in and lack of follow through on guest request for towels make me question ever returning. On another note, I have no idea what other hotels are like in Henderson. The Hampton Inn might be as good as it gets. Sigh. read more

This is a nice, clean Hampton just off I-85. I stay here several times a year when visiting relatives. The staff has always been friendly. It is best to reserve ahead for weekend stays since it tends to fill up for family reunions and people staying while fishing at nearby Kerr Lake. read more

AWFUL!!! One star is too high for this hotel chain! My husband and I got married on a nearby farm, and this hotel seemed like a good option for our out of town guest. We signed a contract to block off 25-30 rooms for a discounted price. I myself reserved three rooms for vendors. Multiple people, including the groom's room, had a reservation issues-most of which were complained about by multiple people but were unresolved---and the staff just didn't care. Multiple people were overcharged, I had multiple odd charges on my credit card the week after which I had to call and get resolved. Out of the 40 rooms we ended up renting out, over half of them had issues with the disgusting breakfast, grumpy staff, reservations or overcharging. Room cleanliness was also an issue. If you're traveling up 85 and just need somewhere to crash, this may be a place for you. If you need a place for multiple people or want a hassle free, friendly hotel experience, we had multiple people stay at the Red Roof Inn and Baymont down the street and they said that they were much better! read more

King Suite, only because it's all that was left. $170+ tax. Our first time visiting the area for a travel ball tournament. World Series. Not a lot of rooms left since we were last minute guest playing. So in the spirit of loyalty, we booked a room wanting to use our hhonors points for one night and pay for another. Unfortunately, when we arrived they would not allow us to. Have to go through corporate which meant canceling our reservations and calling corporate to book a room. We were tired and just wanted to sit in a cool room. Next, can't give us the same corporate discount we have always gotten. Let me say this is a monthly stay for us in 3 states. Still just want to get in room. Had to ignore the flippant attitude of the lady at the front desk. I think we were bothering her. Here is the rest with just a list: HOT hallways. No air in hallways at all. Broken shower rod Dingy room Room sign on floor of hallway The pool was so strong in either chlorine or the alkalinity was off but my sons eyes burned!!!! He swam 15 minutes and was in pain. Now let me say that we have been in a lot of public pools and this was really bad!! The following night we went next door and paid 75 including tax and it was such a nice place and we were treated well!!! Corporate will get a letter. I assure you. read more
