I consider myself a Hamptonian, as I find myself booking Hampton Inns frequently because I'm a Hilton Diamond member and I use points to travel. Hampton Inns are consistently predictable, most having free parking and a hot free breakfast, kind staff, clean rooms, and on/off highway accessibility. The Hampton Inn - Greenfield was just this. Easy to make a reservation on the Hilton site, check in using the Hilton mobile app, and easy check out the same. This location was just off a major interstate, which made my six state roadtrip even easier. The staff were all very accommodating and the hot breakfast plentiful. Will definitely consider staying here again if passing through. read more

It was a calamity of issues. Checked out after 1 night. Staff was rude. Towels missing from the room. Room dusty and dirty. Stained pillow cases Pool heater not working, freezing pool. The ac in the room was on extra frigid... if we turned it off or warmer then the room was too hot. read more

The free breakfast is an amazing array of waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, juices, scones, bagels, fruit, yogurt, tea, coffee.... The best part of the breakfast, however, is Laurie! She's the best buffet attendant ever-like your favorite lunch-lady in high school- she makes certain you have a good breakfast and a good morning! The rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. There are so many places to to dine and shop near here, everything is handy! The staff is always near if you have a question, and they don't hover. You'll feel supported and relaxed. If you're looking for a stop in the Indianapolis area, this location is price right and has all you need. read more

Had a reservation, friendly check in, given waters which were greatly appreciated. Approached room to see lock was broken. Entering room we found it very tired & stains on duvet. We secured the lock from the inside. We were too tired to switch rooms, if any were available. In the morning I took a photo of lock & showed to desk clerk, she appeared indifferent. Looking at her computer she stated, "yes, I see there's a broken lock." Gee, well thanks for giving me a room with a broken lock & charging me full price. It was not a good welcome when entering the room. We stop in this area several times a year, we'll pass next time. read more

They wouldn't have to give out free rooms if they had attention to detail and a standard of customer service. After paying $160 And driving 700 miles and arriving at 2am, I had to sleep on the floor because they gave away my requested extra bed!! This last time the room was not good. It was a non-smoking room with a big smell of tabaco. My cable did not work so I was forced to move the tv stand in order to connect it. Half of the outlets inside the room did not worked when I was there and I got a big scratch trying to get the cable done. Very disappointed of this last visit read more

We were happy with this hotel though it is quite a bit more expensive than many of the other hotels in the area. We are Hilton Honors members so were trying to earn points for this trip- I do recommend that if you like Hampton Inns that you join Hilton Honors- they have great benefits. The hotel is nice and clean and we were happy with our room. We appreciated the free wifi in the room. The people were working were friendly. We really loved the breakfast- they have more options than most hotels. My favorite is the hot oatmeal- they have toppings you can add yourself like almonds, dried fruit and some kind of maple/brown sugar mixture. Delicious! They also have some hot food options. I appreciated that they had more than one kind of apple (I'm disappointed when hotels only have red apples or Granny smith- this one also had yellow delicious!) They had bananas the first morning we were there and I love that- and it's great they offer peanut butter too. Their coffee is very good- my husband and I both liked their Robust blend but it ran out both mornings we were there. There really is a great selection here- it's almost hard to choose- and the seating area was nice as well. The hotel seemed pretty empty the weekend we were there. We were on the fourth floor and the first night was very quiet but the second night they put someone in the adjoining room right next to us. We didn't understand why they'd do that when there were so many other rooms available. It was distracted and disappointing and the sound proofing was not good at all. The people next to us actually played a musical instrument at full volume before 8:30 am which was frustrating- fascinating and quite good but still it felt SO LOUD. We couldn't tell if it was a harp (!) or a keyboard but it was really loud. It made us realize that the people next door probably could have heard every single word we said in our conversations, which you really don't want. I understand when hotels are busy you just have to deal with the sound of other guests, but when there were only two other people at breakfast each morning, it certainly didn't seem necessary to have someone right next door in an adjoining room. I don't think we will be able to convince family to stay at this hotel over another one for our twice a year family visits to the area, but I think my husband and I will consider this hotel again in the future when we come just the two of us to visit. read more

We arrived at this location at 10:10 p.m. the night before the Indy 500. We had a reservation for a month or a month and a half ahead of time and were told they did not have a room for us. All of the local hotels were completely booked. I ended up sleeping on the floor in the living room of a family member's house. If you are considering staying at the Hampton Inn in Greenfield, IN, I will caution you about doing so, unless you have a backup plan, if they sell your room to someone who is paying more money and leave you high and dry. I am a Diamond member and have stayed at this hotel previously, but never again. If Hilton doesn't make this right, you will hear more from me about the situation. I spend between 70 and 100 nights per year on average at Hilton hotels and have never had them just tell me too bad, good bye. When I called the Diamond Desk for assistance, the wait time was over 1 hour,so I'm guessing there were lots of unhappy people on Saturday May 29th. Just called back to make sure they weren't going to he charging me for a no show, since I was there and sent away. The night shift called me a liar about the conversations I had with the previous shift and said if I would have waited they eventually had a room available for me and he didn't intend to waive the first night no show. He also told me to stop yelling when i was whispering because i am in a house of sleeping people. Remember, we arrived at 10:10 p.m. and werr told they didn't have a room available for us and had no idea when one would be available, we were on site 40 minutes later as I was trying to find a place to stay, so between 10:40 p.m. and 12:10 a.m. a room came available and they never called me to let me know. Additionally as I said at the beginning of this paragraph, he called me a liar. About her telling me it could be hours before a room was available and refusing to let me see the room being cleaned. I'm not sure how Hilton recovers from this. I am pissed. Notice there are other dissatisfied people for this property. You should really consider multiple negative reviews of a Hilton property as being a good indicator they are poorly run. read more

We spent the weekend in Indy and stayed in 2 different Hampton inns while there (last minute change to schedule). This was the 2nd of the 2. We were not as thrilled with this one as we were the first. The place was clean and looked new from the outside. The room itself was kinda small and felt cramped. The bathroom seemed like it was out of place with the rest of the decor. Sliding glass doors, and the track was kinda low. Me being 6'+ banged my head into it a few times while getting in. And the shower head only had 1 of 3 working jets. The water just kinda spit on you instead of shower. The check in staff was SUPER nice, kudos there for sure. Wont stop us from staying at Hampton inn again... but maybe not this one. read more

I realize they are undergoing renovations. But they have failed to do simple maintenance in the meantime. We had a wobbly toilet that wouldn't flush without holding the handle for several seconds, broken bed frame, in-room coffee maker that added what looked like an oil slick to your coffee, and let's not forget the open kitchen door to the breakfast room with an attendant who shouted obscenities when something blew up in the microwave. As silver Hilton Honors members, we expected so much more. We have stayed in Hilton/Hampton properties all over the country and have never had such a poor experience. We will not be staying at this one again. At check when we mentioned that our stay was just okay, the desk clerk didn't even seem interested. read more

I hate to give a bad review because most of the staff were super accommodating and nice I had no real complaints about the hotel other than the pillows sucked. But me and my friends and family drove in from Iowa to go to my graduation at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana and we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Greenfield. I also had other family members flying in from Las Vegas Nevada for the graduation and they were coming in later on that night when we checked and the guy at the desk was super nice he asked if we wanted rooms next to each other as my other family members wouldn't be checking in until they got in from their flight. I said yes and I was so excited that we would have our rooms together. My families flight was delayed and they came in at about 1 AM and we got to the hotel about 130 1:45 AM which was before there 3am Check in deadline. The younger girl at the front desk that works overnight was rude to my daughter and her grandmother as they were checking in when she was a question about why our family was being placed on a separate floor when the guy earlier said he had a room next to us and she rudely said I don't know anything about that this is all I have left. I also the next day had went outside with my friend and came back in and my key wasn't working and when I asked her to fix my key she rudely asked me for my ID and when I stated that my purse and ID was inside the room she said nothing at all just fixed our key and handed it to us. There was also another lady with longer brown hair that worked in the office super nice helpful the guy was super nice and helpful and maybe that younger girl that works at night should take some lessons from her coworkers. read more

We stayed here about a week ago in the middle of a road trip from Wisconsin to Boston. We arrived quite late at night and I accepted the rack rate of $115 for a king room. It is clear that this property is quite new, and it is sparkling clean. The room was beautiful - aside from being "budget-conscious" in size (and I hesitate to even say that, because the rooms are really incredibly nice), there is everything you could possibly need - flat screen LCD TV, chair with ottoman, big roomy desk, fridge and microwave, and gigantic bathroom with stand-up shower. Nice clean pool, and lovely breakfast/lounge area with fireplace. Breakfast was standard continental fare and very good and fresh. The only issue we had during our stay was that when I got up in the morning to take a shower, the water was cold. And I mean ICE cold. I let it run for 10 minutes and it was still cold at best. I called down to the front desk for assistance and the woman at the desk drawled "Yeah....our stuff is kinda funny sometimes..." Um, okay. Except my shower is still freezing. I tried it again and still no improvement. I called back down and got the same response, "Our stuff is just kinda funny..." Yeah, funny. So we took ice-cold showers because we needed to get on the road and weren't really getting any help down front. HOWEVER. I did email the hotel after our experience and told them pretty much exactly what was written here - and they reminded me that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and told me that all the charges for that night had been refunded to my card. Woohoo! I was quite pleased with this and will not hold it against them. Who knows if I will ever be back through that way again but if I did, I would stay again. New, and clean. Beautiful Hotel, very well cared for. The room was perfect. Well-furnished, with fridge and microwave. New, clean, well-kept. Breakfast is excellent. There is a fantastic kitchen and dining lounge. They have old-fashioned oatmeal (not instant). The coffee layout is similar to Starbucks, with a choice of raw or refined sugar, non-fat, 2%, half and half, or liquid coffeemate creamers. There is a Cracker Barrel (my favorite) next-door. But I did not need to go there. My breakfast at Hampton Inn was perfect (and very unusual for today's hotels, with toast, packaged pastries and crap coffee). Outstanding. read more

The bathroom door in the room didn't lock, it didn't even close! I did tell them about it and said not to worry about that since it was just me and my kid, but still weird they had no idea since they swore it had just been cleaned. The coffee machine was filthy. Bed covers were stained. The furniture was dusty. The beds were hard as rocks and the pillows were lumpy and smelled musty. The pool bottom had concrete breaks and the entire pool area was dirty. The staff was very nice and super friendly for the most part, but that place has some nerve charging what they do for unclean and broken rooms/amenities. There is no ATM so make sure you have cash if you want to use the snack vending, but you probably won't since it wasn't well stocked and was not clean looking. There were even ceiling tiles missing in the hallways with orange insulation floating down. For the money, this place was a giant rip-off. read more

When we first arrived at our room, it wasn't ready. there were towels on the floor, trash in the wastebaskets and beds were not made. The hotel clerk said their housekeeping is behind and they assigned us a room they didn't know wasn't ready. She sent us to another room where we unpacked and got settled for the night. Unfortunately, the mattress had spots on it that resembled bed bug excretions. I called the desk and she came to inspect the mattress. After inspecting the mattress she didn't argue with the findings and sent us on our way to a 3rd room. I would give the desk clerk 5 stars because she remediated a bad situation she had no control over. She inspected the 3rd room herself before she sent us there and the room was good. Also when we woke up in the morning the hotel discounted our room by almost 1/2. Needless to say; I will not stay at another Hampton Inn until they get their housekeeping services together. read more

We stayed here after a long drive from Branson, MO and on our way to Meadville, PA. Loved the hotel. Bathroom was big and clean but shower seriously needs ledges for shampoo, soap, etc. We also had trouble getting the a/c to cool off the room - could be because we were on the top floor. The staff here was very friendly. I'm a coffee freak and couldn't get enough of their 'robust' blend. Overall a great experience. Doubt we'll be in the area again but if we are we will most definitely stay here. read more

Hotel was very well cared for and incredibly comfortable, but the greatest part is the staff! I accidentally left my glasses in my room but the hotel staff had found them and when I called, quickly took action to send them back to me.
