If you have more than one device (especially with kids), it's the worst I've encountered across all Inns. I was able to connect my iPhone fairly quickly, but it took almost 1.5 hours to connect my iPad. GRRRRRRRRR The TV in the room has a buzzing speaker which was highly irritating. The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean and plenty of hot water in the morning. Breakfast was eggs, waffles, biscuits, but didn't see any meat (bacon, ham, sausage) - maybe I missed it.. We stayed three nights at this Comfort Suites. It is located on a hill, as is all of West Virginia; if you are not driving up or down a hill, you must not be in West Virginia anymore, hahaha. This hotel is up in a business park area, with an iHOP, Wendy's, and Sheetz next door. The Sheetz was particularly convenient for gas and snacks as needed. Our room was a Queen/Queen suite. It was not the best suite of this nature we've ever had at a Comfort. The couch was small and not very comfortable. Suites like this often have two TVs, one by the beds and one by the couch. But there was only one television oddly placed where watching it from the beds or the couch wasn't great. Also there was no light or lamp at all in the couch area. But we weren't in town to sit on the couch and watch TV, so that wasn't a huge issue for us. The beds were comfortable enough, just with the usual hotel issue of HUGE HUGE HUGE uncomfortable pillows. But that is not unique to this hotel, all hotel pillows typically suck, hahaha. The free hot breakfast was a bit of a let down. When we first came in and scoped the breakfast area, we were excited to see THREE waffle makers! Unfortunately there was no waffle batter provided the whole three days of our stay. :-( The rest of the breakfast was good enough, but still a let down without any batter for any of the three waffle irons that sat sadly unused. After our long days of exploring, we did enjoy the pool and hot tub. It was smaller, but clean and more than adequate for a family swim. The location of this hotel was really the star. It was great for our adventure'ing!! Santa brought out teens mostly cash for Christmas, and the Meadowbrook Mall is less than ten minutes away for shopping. For outdoor nature exploring, the hotel is within 25 minutes to an hour of five state parks. We did a hike at Tygart Lake State Park, which was lovely. For history, the hotel is close to several Stonewall Jackson historical sites, including his birthplace marker/statue and his boyhood cabin and grist mill. And for those who enjoy offbeat sites, less than an hour away is the American Glass Museum (free), the West Virginia Bigfoot Museum (free), and the Flatwoods Monster Museum (free), all super fun and quirky attractions. The hotel is on the outskirts of the village of Bridgeport, which is a super cute village to check out too, with adorable boutique shopping and coffee shops. Overall we were satisfied with our stay at this Comfort Suites. The room and accommodations were clean, mostly comfortable, and in a great location for all of the things and then some that we wanted to see, do, eat, and enjoy as a family. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved this area of West Virginia, and would love to come back to see and do more. This Comfort Suites is a good place to rest your head in between everything that this part of wild and wonderful West Virginia has to offer.

The bed was comfortable and the room was perfect temperature. I slept well and, more importantly, so did my dog. A typical hotel breakfast was served in the morning (starting at 6 a.m.). I passed on the hot offerings (eggs, potatoes and sausage) but did have a whole grain bagel. The waffles looked good. The attendant was nice. The hotel has a pool, but the water was cloudy and uninviting. The small workout center was well equipped, but smelled a bit. They could use some ventilation in these areas. I came to the front desk and paid it I figured maybe they made a mistake and they did need to charge the extra time in the room (till 3pm). At 2:45pm the cleaning lady came to the room to clean. I told her we had paid for the extra time to stay the front desk was aware. She said no that 60$ is in case of damage you will get it back. Now I'm confused because the $50 deposit I left originally was supposed to be for this. I asked her to give me a few minutes to finish packing my things. She left and came back with a front desk agent and manager threatening me to leave the room. This was such an uncomfortable situation for me. I suffer from severe anxiety and felt so attacked. Matt at the front desk was so rude to me and as soon as I mentioned I was leaving a review he changed his attitude. These people were nice to me the whole time I was there (because I look white I assume) but as soon as my friend (Latina) spoke up they changed their attitude (fucking racist!!!!!!) all of this for not giving me 15min till 3pm which they charged for. We paid for two days stay and only stayed one day and a half because we arrived late (we are driving from far). This is not our first stay here (two weeks again October 13) We have been in communication with them from the beginning and everything seemed fine until this afternoon. I'm so disappointed. I walked out with an anxiety attack almost crying. That was the experience I had.

Stayed here for three nights while in town for a baby shower. The hotel had some positives and…read morenegatives. It's in a very convenient location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. It appears to have been recently renovated but still shows its age in certain areas. The room was large and the beds comfortable but ours hadn't been cleaned very well. There were dried in food particles near the coffee maker and we found a baseball cap in the closet and socks under the sink. The elevator doesn't look like it was touched in the reno and the bathroom still looked a little rough around the door and shower. Also the doors block absolutely no sound. We were woken up by the conversations of every person walking by each morning. And they were not yelling. It was just normal people leaving their room volume. We actually had to move rooms because the first one we were assigned was 58 degrees when we walked in. The thermostat was set to 52 and it wouldn't stop running even though we turned it up. The front desk clerk was very friendly and quick to give us another room though. It wasn't horrible but considering it was basically the same price as several other hotels in the general area you have plenty of other places to choose from.

It's pretty quiet even for being close to the interstate. The bad: housekeeping entered the room and failed to lock my room back up. As a female traveling with my young child, I have about a dozen scenarios of what could've happened running through my head. Not to mention the fact that my items left in my room while I was out could have been taken. Around 9:30pm on the same night, we went to unlock the side door from a trip out to the gas station & a slew of teen boys darn near knocked us over running out of the door, not paying attention to us unlocking it. While that's not on the hotel itself- the other group of young boys yelling, running, knocking on doors until probably 10:30-10:40PM, I will say I KNOW the lobby heard it and could have enforced them to simmer down or to have parents present. It was absolutely ridiculous that other patrons had to open their doors to tell these boys not to be knocking on their doors. I also had reserved the room with a special package from the app that included 2 drink vouchers and extended checkout. These were not mentioned to me. And the staff at the desk had to go back into my file to find it. Also they charged me $40 additional in incidental fees that I now have to wait to be returned, that's just annoying.
