Stayed here en route to Florida as our first stop. I got a serious discount through my alumni rewards program so the room was only about $45us for the night. There are two computers in the lobby for guests to use so if you didn't bring a laptop and need to check email, map out your route, etc, it's there. Decent room, nothing to write home about, but perfect for what we needed, a place to sleep before the next leg of our trip. Clean bathroom, some parts had been updated, counters, toilet, but very clean. My only complaint would be the height of the shower head as my husband is 6'3" and it was barely high enough for me at 5'6". The toilet whined a bit when flushing but stopped once it was done, not a big deal. Free wifi was nice and was decently fast too. Was able to hook up my laptop to it and our two phones without issue (handy as I had to move our next reservation in Georgia and I was able to do so from the comfort of my room). Seeing how close it is to the interstate, I was surprised at how quiet it actually was. Bed was comfortable, lots of pillows and what looked to be a pull out sofa bed too. Sheets were clean too! The bed was so comfortable that we fell asleep much faster than anticipated and left the movie we were watching on. I usually have a problem with hotel beds being uncomfortable and this wasn't an issue. Could hear folks upstairs a bit but not a big deal once bedtime hit, all was quiet. However when the folks upstairs ran the shower there were some weird noises in our room, probably the pipes. Didn't last long though. We were able to throw on the tv and watch a movie after we arrived, it's nicely located to where the bed is so we could lie down and relax. Mini fridge was bigger than I expected and the microwave was a nice addition even though we didn't use it. Free breakfast was included, and they offer diy waffles, cereal, pastries, eggs and sausage, juice, coffee, tea, yogurt and fresh whole fruit. Was nice to not have to plan another stop and find breakfast. Waffles were a nice start to the day! The hotel itself could use some updating. The finishes are dated and it shows. But that's just cosmetics and for that price, I didn't expect much more! The guy that checked us in at the desk was HILARIOUS! After a long day of driving he gave us a few much needed laughs during check-in. Nice guy and very friendly. This hotel is what it is, a place to stop and sleep for the night. Looked reasonable on the outside- lobby has dingy outdated DIRTY carpet - Elevator was nice - looks really dirty in the corners of the carpet- First room had a small green sofa with what looked like BLOOD stains!!!! and the bathroom had a clogged drain so we moved to " The best room in the building" NOT Dirty carpet throughout- room smelled of Gym socks - bathroom door didn't shut correctly AND NO hot water in the shower! To my horror! Do not come here! pay the extra money! And go somewhere NICE! it's Dirty! Wear house shoes! Bring LYSOL! I guess I have high standards! Oh keep going on the interstate, there has to be a friendlier and cleaner place. This was horrible I had to travel on Thanksgiving night because of doctor appointment next morning, and this was where they put me. Ashtrays in room so it means people smoked in there. I can't be around smoking due to illnesses. Burnt holes in bedspread and carpet Mildew marks on sheets. I felt like I was sleeping in the ashtray. I asked to be moved and was declined. Said no available rooms but parking lot didn't reflect a full house!!! Never never again!!! Something bit me in the bed, looks like spider bite.... hopefully swelling will go down They were having trouble with my third party payment and wanted me to pay...that wasn't happening. read more

When I think of Quality Inn I think of a simple Good Bed and a Shower, nothing fancy anything more then that is a plus. We were invited to a graduation at West Virginia University. So we went with what we thought would be a good value for our money,, but what a nightmare! We requested a late check in as we had a long ride. Well we get a call from a Rebecca at 2:00pm while we were still on the road saying she was going to have to run our credit card for the room even though we weren't there yet. First time that's ever happened in all the years of traveling even with a minimum 1 night charge for not cancelling 24 hours in advance we knew the travel advance. If we had a flight delay and missed the check in we knew the travel insurance would cover it, but this phone call just sent up red flags all over it like some kind of scam was about to happened. As we pull it at 9:00pm we thought we ended up at a crack head motel as the pool out front had plastic lawn furniture in it and was 1/2 filled with algae water. Most hotels cover their pools in the off season, but apparently this hotel doesn't understand maintenance. We get in and lobby seemed old and outdated, ok given as we were only looking for a bed and a shower. We get into the room and the beds seem ok but the refrigerator cabinet is falling off it's hinges, the brown lounge chair in the corner has stains on it from who knows what. The bathroom had 1/2 filled small Shampoo and Conditioner bottles left on the counter. Covid safe? I don't think so! Lucky we brought our own supplies. After taking a shower in ankle high water because of clogged drain issues we discover folded towels with holes in them, not tiny small wear out holes major rips in them. I yelled OMG someone actually took the time to fold this without even a thought of this towel has seen better days? Before giving it to a customer your trying to impress that pays your salary! So we go to check out and my wife ask for the bill/receipt, The clerk Enzee says I I gave it to the guest already, my wife thinks as I'm loading the car Enzee must have given it to me, come to find out Enzee didn't see one on the counter for our room and lied to my wife about giving us our bill. As we were filling up for gas around the corner my wife ask for the hotel receipt which both of us never got so we had to turn around and make Enzee actually do his job and print us a receipt instead of playing games on his cell phone while sitting in the corner of the window trying to stay hidden. Hope the pictures help with this rating as they are an embarrassment to the Quality Inn, and Choice motels chains reputation as us consumers start to question does corporate nor care and all Quality Inns are going t start being this bad? read more

I wish I could give this place 1/2 star. Avoid this dump. They only clean the rooms if you make a "special request". Someone vomited in the hall 2 days ago. They threw some powder in it, slapped a "wet floor" cover over it, and it's still there. Our room has chipped paint, and some unidentified stains on the wall. When we arrived in the room, the toilet paper wasn't on the toilet paper holder - it was just balanced on it. Avoid this dump. read more

For the price this hotel was very good. it was a bit worn but clean. staff was very nice. nice diner 100 feet away that was delicious. hotel breakfast was ok until they ran out of a few items. it got a little cramped in breakfast area. But would definitely stay there again. read more

Our ball team stayed in this hotel from Thursday-Sunday. Two of our biggest selling points for choosing this for our players was the outdoor pool and hot breakfast. Only to learn that the outdoor pool closes daily at 8:30 and hot breakfast is only served on the weekdays and not the weekend. The staff was rude and seemed bothered that we chose to stay at their hotel. Our team had over 15 rooms. Several of our parents had to ask for a room swap because of must and awful smells. One player and his family eventually had to relocate to another hotel entirely. The showers were dirty, our smoke alarm was just wires hanging from the ceiling. we will not be back and I do not recommend this hotel. read more

Very good value for the money. Friendly front desk staff, rooms were clean and updated. Good breakfast with lots of choices. They have full size beds and need to update to queen. Mattreses were comfortable though. Would stay again. read more

BED BUGS We stayed there this past weekend (Jan. 2020) And the reviews were good and the price was great. Entire place smelled of smoke. Room looked clean besides needing updated. Unfortunately a day after we stayed we broke out in bumps all over. Doctor confirmed bed bugs. Called to let staff know today. read more

I stayed here about three yrs ago for about a month off and on. Back then the price was right, about 45.00 to 50.00. I came back into town today and checked in only to find the price had Doubled at 85.00 plus tax. That's to much for this hotel. It's clean but bathroom outdated , chalk in the bathroom separating and getting moldy. Major construction going on , which was an inconvenience and a mess. The check in lady at the counter was very rude. ! I doubt if I roll into town again that I'd stay here. For the price I could go across the street read more

My husband and I stayed here in June 2017. The staff was great - helping us over the phone to resolve a billing issue. The bed was quite comfortable - a rare finding these days. We loved the hot breakfast - especially the hot waffles. We will definitely stay again. read more

(continuation from 7/23/2016. I maxed out the character limit.) Your switchplate cover in my room in back of the TV that I used to plug in my laptop ended up in my hand (before I plugged the surge protector switchplate back in) when I went to take my laptop cord out gently from it. Both the switchplate and surge protector boxes should never be mixed together without being bolted down by the screw inside the surge protector. When I got there, I noticed it and figured it was the proper place to put my laptop power cord. However, when we grabbed our stuff and checked out, I tried to take my cord out from the surge protector, but ended up pulling the surge protector out of the wall, because it was installed incorrectly. (I use these types here at my home too, and know the way you installed it is incorrect, but since I didn't have the correct screw I couldn't remedy the problem correctly so I had to leave it - unsafe as it was!) I forgot to mention this problem upon checkout. As for the beds and the linens, I'm unsure. When I was there, seeing all the other issues, I didn't even want to slip my feet under the covers, in fear I might have found bed bugs. It might have been alright, but I was in constant fear of this place from the time I checked in up until seconds before I walked out the door the last time - not looking back! The air conditioner in the room was a bit old and outdated, though the air conditioner that was provided in my mother's room seemed newer. Mine had no digital dials while my mom's room was all digitally inclined. Mine was just dials to set the temperature up and down and had no resemblance to most air conditioners of present day! The dials clicked in. The carpeting was about the best part of the room. It looked clean, though I didn't want to take a chance. The TV they provided had some brightness/contrast colors issue that I ended up trying to temporarily remedy that night that seemed to make it "less dark". Don't know how well this came through with my mother's room; not even sure if she even used the TV at all; provided she was looking for several pieces of information within the telephone books that were provided in some rooms that weren't provided in others - some being no younger than 2 years old. I urge everyone who tries to stop into this hotel to think twice about their purchase. Just because the rooms are dirt cheap, doesn't mean they are any good! Had I not overlooked Rob B's review below (thinking his stay was an abnormal one that happens to all hotels once and awhile) when making the purchase through the ChoiceHotels website for this hotel, I could have diverted this purchase to someplace else that would have been better for all of us to stay those nights, and so we ended up staying elsewhere for the following days - someplace out of the Choice Hotels system. I guess his stay had the same bad employees who couldn't deal with the situations efficiently. Though I still have a Choice Rewards account, I'll have to let it go inactive due to this place's negligence to install stuff correctly in a fully renovated room (which half the rooms were done already in, while others still lagged behind)- something I regret having to do now, as I don't let my points expire. We were paying customers who were paying in cash, and we should NEVER have been treated the way you ended up treating us that day and night! read more

I just recently stayed here with my family for my cousins graduation from WV. I'm usually pretty laid back but this place was disgusting. There were bugs ALL OVER our room and my parents room..dead ones and live ones. I was so grossed out the entire time. read more
