This 15 year old hotel is very often used and overdue for rehab: showers have cracks and black and red colors inside cracks that look like water intrusion aka mold. Showers here in need of rehab. All bathrooms and kitchens need to be updated every 10-15 years to avoid mold. Avoid this hotel if allergies. Avoid 15 year olhotels if allergies. Hope this helps others to avoid illness. No no no. On day 2 of a two night stay, we returned to our room to discover that all, I mean all, of our belongings were gone. Wtf? We went to front desk and a very unhelpful and unsympathetic person told us that since no one was registered to that room she told staff to remove the belongings that were there and put things into two large garbage bags! She points to the side of her where all our stuff was sitting in two garbage bags. I have NEVER ever had anything remotely like this happen before. I mean, right down to our toothbrushes! An apology and explanation of what happened would have gone a long way, but nope, not happening. The next morning at checkout, the manager did apologize and comped us one night. My first time staying at this Hampton Inn. Overall, it's a very nice hotel - it has a lot going for it! Our rooms were on the third floor. I mentioned to the lady at the front desk - that the mini-fridge was a short coming of the hotel. She responded that they are working on that and that all rooms on the first and second floors have been outfitted with mini-fridges. We asked if there was any way to get mini-fridges brought to our rooms - she responded with a yes and within a few minutes we both had mini-fridges in our rooms! I sat in the lobby/lounge area for a while after I arrived to work for a bit. I changed the stations on the two flat panel HD TVs to ESPN and The Weather Channel, respectively. They offer a breakfast service in here in the morning - but I did not try it. Pros: - Clean, comfortable rooms - Comfortable bed and pillows - Flat panel HD TV with lots of HD channels! - Free Wi-Fi internet access - AC kept the room cool Cons - The free internet access was abysmally slow - The AC unit in my room was incredibly noisy. My work colleague told me the one in his room was very loud as well. Come on Hilton - let's upgrade these units to something modern and quiet - Third floor rooms currently have no mini-fridges - No pantry area for purchase of snacks, beverages, toiletries, just a couple of vending machines - The shower in my bathroom had mildew/mold on some of the caulking. They need to get in here and strip out the caulking and replace it a fresh, mildew resistant brand. If the AC unit had been quiet - the hotel would have received a substantially higher rating from me. I was exhausted the next day - I can even begin to estimate how many times I awoke during the night each time the AC unit came on. Staff was friendly and helpful! read more

Last two times I stayed the bathroom vent made some loud noise at night. This time I stay the bathroom vent is quiet. In one word : deception. Went in the hotel, rooms are correct, the pool on another hand was pretty dirty. We also experienced a fire alarm evacuation at night. And absolutely nobody from the hotel staff actually checked on the people or even coordinate the evacuation. After being outside, nothing either. No explanation, no apologies or anything of that kind. Went at the front desk to ask if they would do anything for the inconvenience, and the front desk lady that only a manager could do something. After asking to see one, she said she wouldn't call anybody. Too bad... I won't recommend this place. read more

I stayed at the Hampton Inn for 4 nights because it was close to my friend's wedding. It is not incredibly fancy, but it is clean, safe, and everyone was really friendly. We were able to get early check in and late check out without any additional cost. You can enjoy free breakfast and there is no additional charge for internet. They have an indoor pool and fitness center. They were very helpful in booking the meeting room for our bachelorette party to gather in. Our room had a mini frig and microwave which was helpful when taking home leftovers from the 99, a restaurant that is within walking distance to the hotel. PROS: Friendly staff, breakfast & internet included, pool, fitness center, lots of parking, coffee maker in room, Neutrogena toiletries CONS: It's right next to a cemetery (not necessarily a con, but it can be a little surprising upon arrival), hair dryers are not very powerful read more

When I first got to the hotel I thought it looked beautiful and was ready to sleep well after already driving the whole day to get here. I walked into my room and found myself looking for charging ports so I could charge my phone and AirPods. There are some plug inns but they are in very unconventional areas. So I had to plug my things in in random places. When I was about to go to bed I layed down on the bed and obviously it's not like your normal bed that you get used to but I could compare this more to a bag of rocks. Other than these problems I had good service and the rooms were clean. I might not come here again but it wouldn't be my last choice or my first it is good though if your only staying here one night. read more

We recently stayed 2 nights for a hockey tournament in the area. We were with tweens/teenagers so the pool in the winter was a nice treat in the cold weather. The hotel overall was very clean - the cleaning staff was very friendly and did a great job making up the rooms every days. Kudos to John -- he checked us in on Friday night and was amazingly nice to us. Kudos to the other staff, which I didn't get their names... On Saturday evening, the parking lot was packed due to an event the hotel was hosting. I asked a staff member where I could park and he immediately moved a car so I could park my car at the hotel, and not at the 99 across the street. Kind, simply friendly service. read more

The Dover NH Hampton Inn is a very nice chain hotel. The rooms are clean and during the winter season a cheap place to stay if you ski at Pat's Peak in Henniker NH. This location has a small gym and a pretty good size pool. There is a pretty good Chinese restaurant across the street that has a small night club and a casino on site. read more

Looking around the room we found what looked like an extra blanket in the closet. It was in a plastic case that was covered in blue painters tape. We just stayed here this past weekend for my daughter graduation from UNH. We were very happy with our stay. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was very nice. But the biggest thing was the staff. The front desk staff were fabulous! The were so friendly and they we extremely accommodating. We were there for 2 nights and had 3 rooms. We had people coming in all weekend at different time. We let the front desk know and they had the keys ready for everyone when they arrived. It is a small ride to the college and we would normally stay at the hotel near the school but that hotel tripled their price with a 3 night minimum just because of graduation! I got 3 rooms for 2 nights for what would have cost me for one room for only 2 nights in other hotel. We will book here again when we go up to school!!! read more

The second you walk in the lobby nothing is out of place, the floors, walls, glass, and tables are all spotless, And the staff is above and beyond professional and courteous. Elevator spotless! The room that I stayed in is not only neat and clean, but when I ran the blue light, there was nothing anywhere to say different. The Hampton Inn, in Dover New Hampshire, is the very cleanest hotel, of the hundreds that I have ever stayed. On a personal note, although I have a career that isn't the cleanest ( Plumber ), my expectations of hotels and restaurants that I visit or frequent, are to a much higher standard.
