    Injury sustained at this hotel
    Aj C.

The staff here are very deceitful and false they will smile in your face while stabbing you in the back. On Christmas Eve I was charged almost as much in a pet fee as what I was for my overall room fee , without any conversation from the manager, when I had used the Hilton Honors check-in app to check in marking a pet myself my fiance and my child as being guests, only did discover they added an additional $75 pet fee after the fact with no discussion with me while I was at checkout that this would occur. Even though I told them I would not push the issue of my son being injured in their shower in room 206 when he fell because they didn't have proper anti-slip strips down letting my son fall and cut himself inside of their bathtub. I could have sued them for this but I let it go and then the nasty deceptive manager of this facility charged me as much for my pet as what it was for the overall room that I had when I used my points as a Hilton Honors member to decrease the price to get that price in the first place. Had I known that this would have occurred, and that somehow there is an error in my pet wasn't counted and they're adding the charge after the fact, and I would pay as much for my pet is what I would for the room itself, I would have went to another facility instead of theirs. Do not ever use this hotel unless you have no other options in Danville to stay at! Not only is the bathrooms unsafe but the pool area is unsafe as they do not even have anti-slip strips down around the edge of the pool knowing that children are impulsive and are quick to run without thinking and they could slip and harm themselves causing head injury or worse. Do not stay at this hotel if you can Janice the manager is one of the most fake people you'll ever meet in your life! And trust me as a person who is in the top 10% of reviewers on the Google platform for businesses, I can tell you my experience is true and just to leave this type of review for them and anybody that would go against this review then you take your own children safety and Family Safety as well as your financial security into your own hands because this hotel may just throw a charge on your bill without you knowing about it not even having a discussion with you that there will be any additional charges! And as you check out the manager will smile on your face as if she's the most upstanding ethical person in the world while twisting the knife in your back waiting for you to leave! Do not use this facility

Beautiful hotel located right off the bypass. When I walked in the front door I was impressed with how pretty the sitting/breakfast area was. Room was good size and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Eggs, gravy, waffles, breads and sweet with a variety of drinks. Only hiccup was one of the ladies I spoke with was a little rude but everyone else was friendly. Update..... upon check in we were told that a card was needed and it would charged $50 for incidentals and returned once we checked out. We wanted to pay with cash for the stay. We wanted to pay that night for our rooms and were told to wait until we checked out. After checking out and paying in cash we discovered that two more transactions were taken out and when we called no one could tell us why.....

Janice booked our room over the phone and strongly recommended the cattleman's restaurant for our dinner location.

I want to leave a review for Brunch with Babies / Farm Family / Farmily Days! I couldn't find a lot…read moreof details about the flow of this. Note: you can do any part of this before or after your brunch reservation, within the hours of the event. Which in 2026 was 10-2. There are 2 places to park: one by the welcome center and one by the restaurant /trustees table. It seemed if you had brunch reservations you parked by the restaurant side. Accessibility wise: they have a lot of accommodations but it's not perfect. There's a big-ish hill from parking to the restaurant, but the rest was mostly flat with tiny gravel and white chalky dust. People do dress from play wear to nice, but I'd recommend shoes you are okay with getting dusty. The farm part: There are pony rides: $5 extra per ride. My kids loved this and it was worth it. A craft area also (these were set up in front of the trustees table). Coordinated games were a little farther up. The farm is past the restaurant and they had: 2 sheep / lamb stations, goats and kids, 2 Clydesdales, a mom cow and calf, 2 pigs, turkeys/ducks/roosters, baby ducks, baby chicks. They had story telling, lamb shearing. Face paint for $10. A seed and plant thing we didn't explore. Some play areas. And of course all the grounds! It was really great! Our toddler and baby loved it! Our toddler can't sit still for stories and demos yet, but was thrilled with the animal variety and experiences. Note: there is a big sand pit we strategically avoided, but I'd imagine your kids would get dirtier in there. I was worried how much time it would take us, I'd say about an hour. I think if you're wanting to do stories and demos maybe closer to an hour and a half to 2 hours. The total event is 4 hours. This is just a note for anyone planning breakfast before, during, or after. Brunch with babies: I think the value was good. It was a buffet with: bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, gravy, grits, cooked apples, waffles, and cereal. They delivered 1 biscuit and pumpkin muffin per person with butter and jam to the table. There were people scooping, but I assume you could get more. The grits and sausage were so good. I don't even normally like sausage. The biscuit and jam were so good too. All the food was delicious. I saw someone trash talk the breakfast buffet in an another review, but every bite I ate was good. I just came back from Disney, this was above the standard breakfast buffet in quality. IF you are wanting a relaxing, DINKS or retired experience, I'd look at the calendar before booking. Some of the adults seemed overwhelmed by kids near them, and on this date, the restaurant was FULL with kids.

The buildings are spread out, so visitors should expect to do a fair amount of walking. I also recommend checking the schedule and attending any tours or informational sessions available, because otherwise you're just walking around reading plaques. Staff were very friendly and I learned a lot from the short tour we went on. We also attended a Shaker music presentation, which was fun and informative. Viewing the farm and barn was fun and there happened to be a farmer there who shared a lot of info with us. Also enjoyed the chickens and ducks!

As soon as we parked the car we were greeted by a ginormous need of mint...the scent was inticing. The tavern does not take reservations and we arrived at the perfect time, around 5:30. But 6 pm the bar was full and most of the tables were also filled. The tavern had good character, dark, woody...with photos of rick houses on the wall along with paintings of two fierce owls. We were greeted immediately and had the pleasure of being served by the most pleasant and efficient waitress. Enough choices for bourbon, some good drafts, and a deliciously made dry martini (along with a coffee for our tea toatler yesterday) started is off. There was a nice selection of specials for the day...some of which only a true southerner could appreciate (fruit gel topped with mayo, tomato spicy over cottage cheese topped with mayo) and some like cream of broccoli soup and steak boardelaise that even a yank could appreciate. Our table settled on two orders of fried catfish which came with a choice of two sides...baked potato and coleslaw were the choices. One of our diners choose the fried chicken livers that came with cream gravy...she chose the broccoli soup and corn pudding as her sides. Our tea toatler chose the country fried steak. I will term you that everyone cleaned their plates...it was that good. A final round of coffee, the OK from the waitress that we could pick some mint (which was planted in our garden at home) and we were off. Guess who is coming back? Me!!!

Food was lukewarm at best. I had the Hot Brown. Expected for the price freshly sliced deli ham and turkey on a nice slice of brioche toast. Got thin deli sliced turkey pulled out of package. Never found the ham unless it was the same color as the turkey. Found the thin soggy sandwich bread slice. All was smothered in a barely heated sauce. Are these made ahead of time then microwaved to order? For $20? My friend had prime rib. Also cold, mashed potatoes cold, we've had much better prime rib at franchises like Roadhouse or Cattlemens. The blueberry cobbler was a soggy mess. Friday night, only about 5 tables being served. It has gone from a nice restaurant with good food, to a local tavern where they'll throw something in the microwave for you if you're hungry. Bring your wallet. Waaay overpriced for the quality.
