Stayed here for work. It was very welcoming. William was helpful during check in. He acknowledged my Diamond status. He offered water even though the room already had water. The hotel was very charming. Clean and had available hand wipes at the elevator and in the rooms. When leaving, the young lady at the desk offered additional water for my travels, While it wasn't needed this time, it was such a nice offer! Definitely that extra step hospitality. The breakfast was fresh and well laid out. Appreciated the boiled eggs in a little zip lock snack bag. Look forward to staying here again in the future. read more

I wasn't really a fan of this Hampton Inn. The staff was nice and friendly. And I think depending on the rooms, your experience could differ. I had colleagues on different floors who told me their experience was better. Someone said first floor rooms may be the better option. I stayed at a room on the 3rd floor my first visit and then on the second my 2nd visit. Both were similar. The room in the 3rd floor AC controls were on the window unit. The room in the 2nd floor AC controls were through the control unit in the wall. Both rooms had a damp smell and feeling. It smelled old. I couldn't get over it. The gym was smaller than most Hampton Inns I've been in. A colleague on the second floor said she saw bugs in the closet. I saw tiny bugs in the shower. I understand it's a smaller town, there were very few options and this hotel is older. Not many solutions besides renovating the whole thing... read more

I had an awesome experience here! I am surprised the overall yelp rating is not higher. For context, my dad is very ill (stage 4 cancer and other very serious health issues). Our one-night stay was divine, especially relative to a very bad experience we had in a motel in another nearby town. Positives: * Very clean and well maintained * Fabulous staff throughout the hotel. Friendly and accommodating. * Spacious room with comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Modern furniture. * Near things you need like restaurants and Wal-Mart. * I really enjoyed the fruit at breakfast. * Carried our bags downstairs to our car when the luggage cart was unavailable * Gave us bottled water on the way out! Noah, Gabby (or Tabby--sorry if I got the name wrong!), manager Janice, and the entire staff made us feel so welcome and treated us like family from the moment we arrived. The personal touches in the room truly made our stay unforgettable--from the adorable rubber ducky in the bathroom, to the "hugs and kisses" at nighttime, and the extra waters left for hydration. Every detail made us smile and feel cared for. We traveled from New Jersey to Kentucky to visit my daughter, and we've stayed at other places in the past (which I won't name), but this experience blew us away. The staff here are very deceitful and false they will smile in your face while stabbing you in the back. On Christmas Eve I was charged almost as much in a pet fee as what I was for my overall room fee , without any conversation from the manager, when I had used the Hilton Honors check-in app to check in marking a pet myself my fiance and my child as being guests, only did discover they added an additional $75 pet fee after the fact with no discussion with me while I was at checkout that this would occur. Even though I told them I would not push the issue of my son being injured in their shower in room 206 when he fell because they didn't have proper anti-slip strips down letting my son fall and cut himself inside of their bathtub. I could have sued them for this but I let it go and then the nasty deceptive manager of this facility charged me as much for my pet as what it was for the overall room that I had when I used my points as a Hilton Honors member to decrease the price to get that price in the first place. Had I known that this would have occurred, and that somehow there is an error in my pet wasn't counted and they're adding the charge after the fact, and I would pay as much for my pet is what I would for the room itself, I would have went to another facility instead of theirs. Do not ever use this hotel unless you have no other options in Danville to stay at! Not only is the bathrooms unsafe but the pool area is unsafe as they do not even have anti-slip strips down around the edge of the pool knowing that children are impulsive and are quick to run without thinking and they could slip and harm themselves causing head injury or worse. Do not stay at this hotel if you can Janice the manager is one of the most fake people you'll ever meet in your life! And trust me as a person who is in the top 10% of reviewers on the Google platform for businesses, I can tell you my experience is true and just to leave this type of review for them and anybody that would go against this review then you take your own children safety and Family Safety as well as your financial security into your own hands because this hotel may just throw a charge on your bill without you knowing about it not even having a discussion with you that there will be any additional charges! And as you check out the manager will smile on your face as if she's the most upstanding ethical person in the world while twisting the knife in your back waiting for you to leave! Janice booked our room over the phone and strongly recommended the cattleman's restaurant for our dinner location. Noah checked us in and we were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. This Hampton inn is by far the nicest Hampton hotel we have stayed in our 10 years of traveling. The facility, it's location, and the accommodations were what every hotel should aspire to. Beautiful hotel located right off the bypass. When I walked in the front door I was impressed with how pretty the sitting/breakfast area was. Room was good size and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Eggs, gravy, waffles, breads and sweet with a variety of drinks. Only hiccup was one of the ladies I spoke with was a little rude but everyone else was friendly. Update..... upon check in we were told that a card was needed and it would charged $50 for incidentals and returned once we checked out. We wanted to pay with cash for the stay. We wanted to pay that night for our rooms and were told to wait until we checked out. After checking out and paying in cash we discovered that two more transactions were taken out and when we called no one could tell us why..... read more

Not good. First i went in to grt s room when i got into town once they found i was here with a company in town that had s rate they said they were full. Not a car in the lot so i went online and booked no problem. When i checked in the desk clerck just said she could not speak to it. The floor i was on smelled like bug spray. Nice newer hampton inn. The lobby was nice with lots of comfortable places to hang out. The gym was great weight machine treadmill and lots more. Great comfortable room modern good toiletries. I am beyond disgusted with this hotel. When checking in they took forever to come to the desk then informed me my room was given away at 3:00. The desk agent said they tried to run my card at 3:00, when did THAT become an industry standard? The card was declined at 3:00. Because it had some fraudulent activity on it between the time I made this reservation and today, the card had been replaced by the bank with a new number. I showed up at 4:30 and my room was gone. She claimed she tried to call me, but since Im 500 miles from home..... Well I'm just SOL. No help, no suggestions, no offers...just "I'm sorry". Gee, your sympathy is underwhelming. I usually use Marriotts but there are none in the area. In fact, there was nothing acceptable in the entire town. I had to sit in the parking lot using my mobile data to search for a hotel in an area Im only slightly familiar with then we had to drive over an hour back the way we came from to another hotel. This is NOT a normal policy. This policy is not easily found, as my confirmation email says to call the property for policies. HOW would I know to ask such a question?? I am not done with this situation. I'm freaking furious. I have never been treated so poorly by a supposed hospitality professional. read more

I was there for a company meeting. The staff was great and accommodated everything we asked of them. The meeting room was well equipped. I rate guest rooms on 2 things, bed and shower because if those aren't right then nothing much else matters for me. In both cases they were as consistent as I expect from Hampton. I'm extremely disappointed by this hotel from the customer service at time of check in to the housekeeping. As a business traveler who spends more than 120 nights away from home all I ask for is a clean room, friendly staff and a gym with proper working equipment. I'm sad to report this Hampton Inn falls short on all three counts. I would like to report the broken screen on the stepper or the wobbly seat on the bike but I'm scared! The Assistant Manager is an angry young man who didn't mind making us wait 10 minutes before checking us in when we arrived so that he could talk to his maintenance men who walked in behind us! Although we were tired after a long flight we probably wouldn't have minded as much if he would have asked us to wait or apologized or maybe offered a smile. He said nothing! Hotel was clean, night staff was friendly and breakfast was good. We drove total 20 hours and payed for a whole night except got here 5am had to check out at 11. We were told we could use the pool after check out since family was visiting and we have to leave to go back home...the girl at the fro t desk wouldnt allow us and we had to make 3 trips to get all the kids in our family that came to see us bavk to their houses w no visit. First time staying at this hotel. Overall I found the stay to be very enjoyable. The room was clean and looked to be new. The staff were very helpful and greeted us with a smile. The breakfast was good and the coffee was great. I for one love the extra pillows and the beds slept well. I typically find at least one thing to complain about but found nothing on this stay. My wife and I stayed here for a couple of days over Thanksgiving. The staff was great! The room was great! (We had a free upgrade to the jacuzzi suit.) The free breakfast was very good! The hotel was clean and everything you would expect from a Hampton. But...... If you like to sleep a little late, stay out of room 105. Like I said everything about this room was great except the location. It is at the end of the hall near an exit door and a stairwell door. These doors do not shut quietly! Not sure if it was people checking out or heading to the free breakfast but doors started slamming about 6:00 am. Stay at this hotel but don't stay in room 105. read more
