Rude and nosy staff that talk about guests. Refused to let us book using military ID. Said it was "obvious" we weren't military and denied even looking at the ID. Then called us names and made us out to be villains when we were frustrated with the lack of customer service. The GM followed up 2 years later to tell us we could no longer stay there using blackmail tactics along with a made up story of what happened TWO YEARS PRIOR. She talks about guests to non Hampton employees then claims she "knows no one" in this small town. Beware of your privacy and your veteran benefits before booking. I stayed at this hotel for the Historic Clinton Half marathon and 5k. I bought a package. It's a beautiful hotel. There's a pool, fitness room, and front eating area. At 4:00, they gave the guests cookies. The breakfast, which you order and they give you is also nice. There's a menu in the wall and it's completely COVID safe. The rooms are spacious. Mine had 2 beds. The bathroom had Neutragena products. There was a closet with an iron and ironing board behind the mirror. And mostly the beds were extremely comfortable. We found 2 charging stations next to the bed. They literally thought of everything. Refrigerator, microwave and large tv. Very clean and thoughtful.Best part: I didn't have to leave before 5:00 am for the race. I would stay at this hotel again. read more

We've visited several times while looking at property in the area, then while renovating the property we purchased. This is one of the best, possible THE best Hampton we've ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, always helpful and friendly staff, a homey feel. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are well appointed, the grounds are well kept no matter what time of year. If I were to be asked to find one thing to complain about, I'm not sure that I could find something! While ALL of the staff is exceedingly friendly and honestly will do just whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable, we especially like the lady who runs the breakfast service. She's just the sweetest, most down home, nice lady. Always visits a little, keeps everything fresh and filled and is just an all-around pleasant lady! One thing that stands out is that no matter which staff member you encounter from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance, they always smile and say hello. We find their room pricing to be very reasonable, especially considering how much you get for that price. It's very clean, close to restaurants and shops you may need, a very safe area with the bonus of having staff that is top notch all of the time, every shift, every stay. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by a very nice staff member. The offered us a complementary cookie. As we made out way to the room I noticed how opened the dinning area was. When we got to our room, we sat our things down. And I took a shower. The water pressure was very light. It was not the best. The towels were folded nicely, two of them into towel origami animals. Over all pretty good but I really needed more water pressure. read more

Excellent and friendly service through our stay! Lots of small things that make you feel cared for, like a elephant made of towels! The bed was comfy, room smelled nice, plenty of amenities provided. The breakfast is the best I've ever seen with biscuits and gravy, juices, waffles and oatmeal with a plethora of add in options. read more

Dirty and nosey staff. For a hole in the wall town this hotel has a high price with very thin walls and rude staff. They are very unprofessional. I guess you can be this way if you don't have to choose from in the area. I suggest driving a little north for a better stay and less judgment. Very standard hotel. The decor is up to date, good beds and nice sized room. No fridge or microwave which caught me off guard, as hotels at this price point usually have those amenities. No hot tub, either. Small pool and fitness room. The fitness room does have free weights, however, which is nice. Great hot breakfast selection. Neutrogena toiletries. Close to the highway and restaurants. Edit: I don't know if the top floor is smoking or not, but either way in the morning I could smell cigarette smoke. read more

This is a good standard Hampton. Easy wired or wireless internet, friendly staff, and good showers and beds. All the basics. A little bonus is being able to walk to several restaurants (El Camino, Applebees, Los Compadres, etc) and a WalMart, all within about 1/2 mile. read more

I have to give it up to this Hampton Inn. First, the one con- no hot tub. On to the many pros... My family and I stayed here for four nights. There were two adults and six kids ranging from 1 to 11. First off, the front desk accommodated is on so many things- paper plates from the kitchen when we ordered food in (even though it was closed) extra towels, extra cookies, you name it- they were on top of helping. Second, the housekeeping staff- they were so great about keeping our room clean. They always made the beds, took out the trash, left extra towels, cleaned up some of our food messes (which happens with kids) and never complained once when we asked for fresh sheets because we spilled a soda all over one of them. Having a clean room made our trip so much more enjoyable. Last but not least, a gentleman named Clint. Clint always went above and beyond to make sure our family had everything we could possibly want at breakfast. He took very good care of all the guest but he was always making sure the tougher juice cups were out in abundance for our kids. He made sure to ask if we needed anything, especially if he was closing up the kitchen. One day, he came out side to make sure we weren't having any car problems because we had the hood of our van up. We thanked him and told him that we had the hood up because we had hit a bird and we were trying to get it out of the grill. He offered to help and not only got the bird out but disposed of it for us. I can't tell you how much that little bit of extra kindness went for our family. Top three of the most important things i look for in a hotel is cleanliness!!! Cleanliness! Cleanliness ! You to? Well i am pleased to let you know i can definately recommend this particular Hampton Inn, right on hwy 13 in Clinton, Mo. Nice area plus my room key got our group a discount at what im told is the locals favorite place for a great "home cooked" meal, there is family owned buffet right across the hwy, locals always know where to get great food! read more

This is by far the best Hampton inn I have ever stayed at. It is very clean and the staff is nice. I was not expecting this hotel to be as nice as it is. The best part is that they change up the breakfast everyday. I travel a lot and I hate having the same choices every morning. Plus it's southern breakfast which is different from what I am used to. read more
