My wife and I stopped here as we were wrapping up our East Coast swing vacation. Outwardly the hotel looks terrific and well-kept. Checking into our room (100) showed there was some wear on the furniture including the seats. Standard size pillows on a king size bed? What's up with that? And then, when we went to bed, we found a sheet that barely stretched across the king sized bed. Perhaps a standard or queen size sheet? There was some issue with contactless check-in via the app. We weren't able to actually check in until pulling into the hotel parking lot and the digital key was not ready. Asking the front desk person about it, the response was, it was just finished being cleaned. The overall breakfast was fairly nice and the coffee fresh. Well getting around before leaving for the day. My wife noted that the hairdryer had a partial open in the wire and was working intermittently. read more

False advertising guys. This is now a Best Western, the pool shown in the ad has been closed for 2 years, and this is not acceptable

Their site states they have a pool. The review shows they didn't have a pool a year ago, the site says nothing about no pool or renovations. Had to call three different people, then call the manager and have the cancelation people call me back, they don't have a direct number, and give them the manager's name, and that is If in an hour, when I talk to the manager, she lets me cancel. they are offering something they can't give, and you pay for it whether you get it or not. That was the whole reason I booked the room. When I called, the person who answered the phone acted like this is something she hears a lot ...maybe put it on your website! talk about false advertising. read more

This has to be the nicest Hampton Inn at which we have ever stayed. The staff was super nice. Checkin was a breeze and my better half and I both got water and a snack. Nice! Right away we could see the nice looking hardwood furniture by the elevator and in the room. The room we chose with e-checkin was quiet and well laid out. Shower was large with room for two. It is also the only hotel bathroom with enough towel hooks for dry towels, one on each side of the shower plus the bar on the shower door. It could probably use a towel bar above the toilet paper holder on the wall leading to the shower for those times when there are a couple of folks in the room who will be there multiple days and want their towels to dry. Breakfast the next morning was very good for a Hampton Inn. Pre-made omelettes and all the usual fare but they also had sliced polish sausage (that's a first) and delicious locally made danish because they were way bigger, fresher and tastier than any normal Hampton Inn danish. Great location mid way from Illinois to Maryland and we would definitely stay here again. read more

I came to Cambridge OH to stay since a smaller room in Zanesville OH was $40.00 more a night than Cambridge. I arrived early, and Lisa and Bobbi were very helpful. They allowed me to work in the lobby while my room was being prepared, and as that was taking some time to do, they placed me in a larger room that was ready for me. The hotel is clean, the rooms are very nice (I think the one that I had was larger than my last apartment), and the staff were outstanding. This is my new "go to" hotel when visiting the area again! Yeah I like this Hampton Inn. Sits on top of a small hill and a bit weird to get to (and sort of shares a service entrance with another hotel). The rooms are exceedingly quiet both times I have been there, with the occasional engine brakes from semis notwithstanding. Anyhow, easy to get to and friendly staff. I stopped here 15 min. Ago for a room. OMG. This hotel is definitely NOT UP TO THE STANDARD OF A BAYMONT INN! The smell of mold just about knocked me over when I opened the door to the room. It's dark, dinky, & dirty. I'm getting a refund & leaving. The only thing I can say good is location, smack on the Hwy. & restaurants within walking distance. The health Dept. Usually with a Hilton property, you would expect a bit closer attention to detail and with this whole Covid thing, there would be even more time for attention to detail. So, let's start from the beginning. The hotel is very nice, near the highway and zero road noise..good stuff. The hotel is nicely appointed and the staff is friendly and they make things easy...with the weird covid rules. Whether it's getting a pool appointment (yeah, it's a thing) to getting a pizza delivered, it was awesome. Now a clarification on my opening statement. Because we were traveling with our grandkids, we needed a suite...wow a suite...right? Hold on. The AC was marginal at best, the mini fridge had the thermostat knob torn off and there were weird "stains" on the sofa and curtains. Grant it, the staff was pretty appalled, they offered a room switch or a discount (we took the discount since a room move would be a train wreck). All in all, yes, there were issues. Yes the staff did what they could to make it right and the hotel (overall) was pretty decent. But I was just instantly soured by the little things...quite a shame. read more

The hotel is very clean and the employees are very friendly! I checked in to a king suite with a whirlpool. Without the whirlpool the room still would have been awesome. Spacious room with mini fridge and microwave. They have Neutrogena bath products and supplied more than enough towels. This hotel is right off the freeway with several restaurants surrounding it. There is a small shop on site if you forgot something or you can go to the Walmart that is less than a mile away. Breakfast: I usually stay at the embassy because if the breakfast. The breakfast here isn't bad, but the highlight is the waffles. Albeit, they only have one waffle maker so you may have to wait. The eggs were a veggie style pre-made omelette with no other options. People that gave this hotel a high rating must not have been traveling with a dog. The staff and the room were wonderful and fully deserving of a 5 star review, but the way they kept the outside of the facility was appalling, and I was horrified at their "pet area". I arrived there after dark on 10/28/22 with my dog only to discover that the pet area is located in the back of the rear parking lot that has no working lights! Not just that, but there are woods that come up close to the small pet area. I paid an extra $50 for my dog to stay with me for one night and they expect me to walk him in the dark in a dangerous area? The least I can do is forewarn others. Thankfully, the Microtel hotel next door (which had been my 1st choice but they were full) has lots of brightly lit grassy areas for dogs. To further illustrate the Hampton's neglect of their exterior, the side of their inn is up against a hillside, and there are wild trees and bushes right up against the hotel. Maybe that's why they don't fix their lights? Regardless, they should be ashamed of this property, and it reflects badly on the Hampton Inn name. read more

Beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. The shower is huge, big enough for 2 people. Free wifi and breakfast. Room is nice and contemporary. Rate was a little high, but not bad for the area. We stayed two weekend nights in late July while in the area for a family reunion at Salt Fork State Park. Room was exceptionally clean, nicely furnished, provisioned with adequate but not luxurious linens. Bed was quite comfortable. Large screen LCD tv. Negatives: no light-blocking drapes, breakfast (included) didn't have much of interest, and price was rather steep for eastern Ohio ($260 for two nights, including tax and AAA discount). We did not get the first-floor or near-the-elevator room we had requested in our reservation. We'd stay again if in the area, but would ask for a north- or west-facing room (for whatever good it might do). read more

This hotel is perfectly adequate for an overnight stay while traveling. It is clean, quiet, seems safe, and the front desk staff is professional and courteous. Hampton inn is my go to place to stay. You gotta love the breakfast. I'm only give 4 stars, because for whatever reason the majority of Hampton Inns don't have a fan in the bathroom. This sounds minor but it's incredibly annoying when showering or when I'm using the toilet and my wife can hear everything sound I make. This place was clean and neat. The staff at front desk was incredibly helpful and happy. It's like anything in life you get what you pay for. At least that's my experience with Hampton inn. I'd suggest becoming a rewards member too. Earn that free trip once and a while. read more

Its so easy to stay at hotels these days, but the breakfast was very good...especially for a continental. To point out more positives: there were no bed bugs; great location/hub; Old Cambridge is very close; good eats nearby; two of two elevators worked; and no one tried to steal my car! Get some of those breakfast potatoes! Just a couple of cons: there is no exhaust fan in the bathrooms, the stair wells smelled, the pool is small and not very deep. read more

First off. I would like to say that I am qualified to write this review as I have stayed in this hotel for work for about 7 months now. First, The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and the food isn't all that bad... unfortunately that is where the ships stops. The internet is awful, the walls are paper thin, the exercise room might as well be a closet with a treadmill. If you don't like staring out your window into the dirt do not book a room on the back side of the hotel. A hotel employee blatantly damaged my vehicle with his; I took plenty of pictures to prove my case, however, the employee refused to give me his insurance information. The employee then went to the Hotels manager who would later write me a letter accusing me of making false accusations and harassing the person at fault. The employee continuously parks extremely close to my vehicle even though I park as far away as possible where there are abundant spots available. Families, keep tabs on your girls, the maintenance guy is a known pervert. So, in a nutshell-- its all fine and dandy until your property gets damaged; even if you are in the right you will be accused of making false accusations and harassment for simply leaving a note asking for his insurance information. read more
