Honestly one of the best places to stay in Largo if you're on business or needing a place away from the beach but close enough to get to the beach if desired. Very clean room, lobby is nice, breakfast is typical Hampton Inn which is to say hot breakfast but not like an Embassy Suite with an omelet chef and all the fixins. But workable. Good parking, nice location. Kudos Hilton you got this one right!

I came here as a staycation, and to be closer to the beach. I'm so happy I chose Hampton Inn - Largo. Everyone here went above and beyond and were so truly hospitable. They were also so dog friendly. Our standard room was a good size, and it was so clean. I loved the updates that the hotel has done. I asked for a few simple things when I was there including more pillows, toilet paper, and more towels. They were delivered to us so promptly. I loved being closer to the beach and it was such a convenient straight shot. The breakfast was good and included omelets, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy, and other usuals like waffles, yogurt, fruit, and toast. I will definitely be back. The price was great, the place was clean, the largo park across the street, and so dog friendly. I appreciate everyone so much here. Thank you for everything!

We overshot the turn into the hotel from the main drag, but rather than having to drive up and then U turn-around, took the next left at the gas station and then entered the hotel from the back entrance gates. In fact this was so convenient as there were stop lights so we used this way all during our stay at the hotel. Our encounters with all the staff we met, starting from check-in, was lovely! The eating recommends from Andy at the front desk were great and we discovered two great local eating places thanks to him. Pro-tip - if u decide to go to Roosterfish, get the free drink coupons from the front desk. They also have a great hot water/ coffee/ tea set up in the lobby. One major downside is that when I got hot water to use for my tea, because the thermos' are swapped out and not dedicated, the hot water caries a strong whiff of coffee into my green tea and the taste really sucked, so ended up throwing majority of the drink away. Still the thought is appreciated even if it's coffee drinkers who will least miss out. Breakfast is pretty decent too - you get pre-fabricated omelets stuffed with bacon, cheese, jalapanoes, etc and I found this too heavy - could only eat half. Enjoyed the hard boil eggs more. Unfortunately the fresh cut fruit medley had sweeteners and it was so obvious, it really wasn't that great tasting. So some hits and misses for me with the free breakfast. Bathroom was -okay, the water pressure was low and also it took a long long while to get the water hot and dunno if this had anything to do with our being on the 5th floor? The room was great tho' as we had a lovely view of the park. Another tip - the water fountains are located on the ground floor near the gym/ pool area and the laundry (you have to buy soap for $2, but it wasn't working when were there) is on the 3rd floor. The linens were clean, it was quiet and had great proximity to Indian Rocks Beach. I would definitely return and stay here. Note: #178 of Yelp 100 challenge for 2016

I have been staying at this location for many years now; multiple times a year in fact. Staff TYPICALLY is friendly, helpful, welcoming, happy and accommodative. Food is OK for included breakfast. Tv is always the news. Parking isn't great but works I guess. Today is the second time this year out of our fifth visit this year that the same rude, unwelcoming, unfriendly man was at the counter with his papers spred out (check in papers with ALL visitor information visible) on the check in counter. He doesn't look up and say hello nor welcome to Hampton as the lovely ladies always do! He acts like you're inconveniencing him and interrupting his flow. He didn't say anything but I need your form of payment.. Not how was your travels, what is your name, how many nights are you staying. Takes the form of payment and stated we do not have a reservation. Weird, because the name on the card AND the reservation are IDENTICAL. Anyhow, we asked him if the hotel was full and his response was very dry and uninviting. There also was no hot water or coffee out in the lobby, but at Hampton there always should be. Upon arriving into our room, there was no blanket for the every uncomfortable pullout couch. While pulling out the couch, I noticed stains on the curtain. Though I cannot confirm the actual stain, the photo that I am providing will back up my blood theory. Blood is red. This stain is red. How can this happen in under 2 years since this location was updated. Went down stairs to beg for a blanket and again, his dry, unhappy personality was shinning! "Didn't you already take a blanket?" No, sir I didn't. I just went upstairs, took my bags off the cart and came back down. Maybe if you looked at your customers faces you'd know! He didn't say another word, went to the back and grabbed the blanket, handed it to us unkindly again as if we were intuerupting and looked back down at his computer. I'm glad I didn't forget anything because I'm about a space away from saying something to him about his customer service and I don't want to be the one. Hampton, please please please, fix this. I have no idea how this man was passed into your company but I know with the frequent stays around the country that this is not how your company is to be represented. I never stay at another hotel, no matter where I am! And still, after this, will come back. But, this HAS to be fixed. There also was a large wet stain on the couch. Not cool!

This was a surprise trip for my husband (our anniversary) and I didn't want to pay with a credit card, so they were very nice to accept my cash ahead of our trip. I thought that was going above & beyond. And because they knew we were celebrating our anniversary, they provided a beautiful bottle of sparkling cider and 2 glasses. Plus, what a quaint and thoughtful way to welcome us every morning with a cute picnic basket with snacks! Although we did not utilize the swimming pool it looked very nice and I really liked that there are cabanas. Best of all, this hotel didn't seem crowded! It really is like a hidden gem! There is a tour guide at specified times in the day, that will take you through the hotel to discuss the historical perspective. It is REALLY interesting and it's a must! The hotel is just steps away from Clearwater Beach, therefore you have easy access. There are also nearby activities such as The Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which we love. Our king size bedroom was very clean & beautiful and had a view of the front of the hotel. We were pleasantly greeted with goodies, like I mentioned above, but above all I loved the plush & cozy bathrobe! We will definitely be staying here again in the future. It's a great way to have a staycation, rejuvenate, and breathe in the fresh sea air. You won't be disappointed!

As soon as we walked in there was a vibe from the staff that they didn't want a youth team there. They immediately made us sign a hard copy of a contract explaining the rules. You know, the same rules that you agreed to by checking the box when you book online. So that was great. The place was filthy, the hallways and carpets looked as if they hadn't vacuumed in months. There were bits of debris and dust balls on the carpet that hadn't moved in the entire 4 days we were there. The rooms were dusty and out dated, the air from the A/C reeked of wet dog. My sinuses were immediately on fire as soon as it kicked on. From all the other clues, Im pretty sure they don't change the air filters as they should. The bathrooms were also out dated and dirty. Dust and hair in the corners etc. The breakfast, even as free hotel breakfasts go, was disgusting. Microwaved super greasy bacon, a pancake machine that spit out pancakes that tasted like they were made of salt. On top of that, the staff was rude and unreasonable. Definitely avoid this place if possible. Absolutely gross.

We stayed in Florida for an family event, and figured this was a good place to be, given that it was close to the funeral and the church we had to go to. It is also close to the St. pete airport too. Upon arrival we were greeted by michael, and a woman whos name unfortunately i cannot remember, and they checked us in and told us about the hotel's ammendities such as the pool, which closed at 11PM! They were both very polite and welcoming. Room was a little on the small side for 3 people, i though, but we managed. We stayed in the 2 queen room- and the beds were comfy. Room was clean and had plenty in stock for everyone- like we had enough towels and washcloths. Only complaint is that the hallway to get to the rooms were mostly cold and felt freezing. Room was also cold at night sometimes. On Thursday May 15th, and Friday May 16th 2025, we had breakfast: the choices were eggs scrambled, a chocolate muffin, yogurts, cereal, and a lot of southern favorites like grits. For some reason i didn't like the choices, there is a pancake machine, but felt like the pancakes tasted different and personally didn't like them. Although kudos to them for having a pancake machine and Froot Loop Cereal. Pretty much my breakfast was a chocolate chip muffin, froot loops, and a cherry yogurt with coffee each day we had breakfast. Also doesn't help that i am not an egg kind of person. Oh, and for a fresh breakfast, they seemed to only change the egg option to fried egg. I would have been happy with more choices- like even honey nut cheerios or cinnamon toast crunch. Anywho, in better news- the pool! The pool was so gorgeous- it starts at 3 feet, and then goes up to 6 feet. Water felt fabulous, and it was so cool to swim with a frog! The pool area also had plenty of shaded tables and lounge chairs. When it came time for early checkout, it went well, and everyone was polite. Would stay here again if it was for the pool alone!

We stayed in the Zen Suite which has a patio facing the street. There is a lovely wine bar with live music across the street. Both nights we sat outside and enjoyed the music but do visit Stirling Wine (I reviewed them as well, great crowd). The Zen Suite is so comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. David maybe giving rides via golf cart to beach - very nice and appreciated. I also want to thank staff for the thoughtful birthday note and the "sun and fun" package waiting in our room. Additionally, Debra was incredibly kind when we stopped in for breakfast!! However, I found the digital portal communication to be less than desirable. There was just too many things that left us disappointed on our first trip here. Thankfully sand bay tennis park is less than a mile away and the trolley does stop there. 3 volleyball courts which were great and sunsets 10/10! The Easter Egg hunt was a fun and unexpected treat for the kids :) well organized. I checked in early on the app, knowing it was a holiday weekend and there may not be rooms available early. We were able to pick up wristbands right away but we later found out these were not watched or enforced anywhere. In fact, you do not even need a key to enter the building from the pool/beach. I believe this added to the insane crowding at the pool. Could not find a pool chair at ALL - very stressful and had to set our belongings on the ground in order to swim. They could not keep up with the towels either and by 3-4PM, you could not get one at all. The pool bar had short hours and the line was insanely long every day. The pool bar shared the same line as ordering the food truck food which added to that chaos as well. On Friday the food truck shut down early as well. There was one water dispenser in the lobby but it was always empty. I felt like a bother asking the mainstay tavern for water. The food there was very good and we ordered to go. The gym was amazing 10/10. The beds were AWFUL 0/10 they are on a platform with absolute no give at all - ROCK hard!!! Had to walk across the street to the other Marriott location to get espresso coffee. The extra charges are too much - says $30/night to park but after taxes and fees it is $35 a night and $25 a night for the resort fee which doesn't cover anything but bikes as the trolley is already free. It is $45 to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella at the beach. The resort fee should offset this cost!!!!! The location is amazing but these extra charges are just too much and our stay left a lot to be desired. I also had a fraud charge immediately following paying for parking even though I used the QR code at the front desk and have not used that credit card for any other purchases - I wish this was charged directly through the hotel instead. It is not gated.
