Hampton Inn and Suites, Boulder CO

Hilton award redemptions have gotten rather spendy and this Hampton in Boulder is an example. One night in this hotel was twice the price of the lowest priced Hampton. But it's about location and I wanted to be close to Boulder. It *is* a nice Hampton with a good lobby, nice breakfast, and I was upgraded to a studio suite thanks to my status. Props to Matt who checked me in and was very nice and very helpful to point out things to see during my brief time in Boulder. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. I would stay here again in Boulder. I just hope the prices are better next time.

Great location. Online check in so came right to the room and used my phone for digital key to room and hotel overall. Large suite with substantial work area. Comfy bed.

King side bed with 4 pillows. So comfortable

I am going to miss this hotel. They not only have complimentary breakfast in the morning, but free happy hour every night! What! The only negative about the hotel is that it is not in downtown boulder, but very close to it. If you want to stay outside the busy college city of downtown boulder, this definitely Where you want to stay. However, they do provide shuttle service to downtown boulder, even pickup! All Complimentary! The rooms are so nice and spacious. King size bed with 4 pillows! The fitness room is a little small, but the pool and hot tub are very clean and nice. They also have great outdoor seating and couches when the weather is nice. In all, I was very impressed with the hotel and the service provided. It was an awesome experience to stay at this hotel! The staff is very friendly and will try their best to accommodate any of your needs. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy to find. Clean location. On site washer and dryer comes handy when your traveling. Rooms are big, comfy and have everything you could need to enjoy your stay. Complementary breakfast and happy hour was great.

Stayed here the night before I had an event at CU Boulder and I couldn't have been any happier with my stay! Everyone that worked there was extremely nice and professional. The hotel was impeccable! Very clean lobby and rooms. Had a very cozy feel to it with a fireplace out front. It's right next door to a restaurant as well. I didn't have time to try it out but thought that was convenient. I didn't have time to grab the breakfast in the morning, but there was a nice space dedicated to it in the lobby. Would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in town. My room was very spacious and the hotel itself was very quiet. I was on the third floor in a nice room. Loved my stay.

Outside the pool area is a patio. It's shaded. Has great furniture. And has a great view! Plus they also have coffee

We drove thirty minutes to boulder and she had the alpine massage which she raved about and loved but I had the mountain lavender massage and it was average at best. We had called the day prior to reserve the crystal mat for me and when I arrived they didn't have it. The lady doing my massage went out from the room, went to talk to some people and then came back and told me it was "in use". She then said she'd add on hot stones at no charge. They also cut my massage short as a result of it and yes we were about 4-5 minutes late but they were a bit disorganized. I paid for a 50 minute and really only got about a 30-35 minute and it wasn't all my fault. My therapist was alright but flustered and didn't ask me about pressure etc. It felt very rushed and I wasn't relaxed so for the price I paid I was honestly was pretty unhappy about it. Facilities were nice though- there is a sauna and steam room and you do get to use the hotel jacuzzi and pool. Again, to that add however the facilities were being taken up by a large bridal shower group and they were using all of the two personal change rooms and get ready space. It was very inconvenient to say the least and for someone paying, it felt like I was overlooked and maybe even a little in the way. I wouldn't be back based on the experience, for such a high end price tag I really felt service and experience would have been better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend either.

We got the corner unit top floor with a snack bag. I'm glad we purged on the extra. I was pleased with the room overall. I liked how the parking is underground and controlled. Cons: The front desk person did not tell us where the pool is and the elevator "directory" also did not say. We found out the pool is on P2, where parking is. Also we weren't told the bar will be closed, this is on a Thuesday night at 6 pm. We didn't think breakfast ended at 9:30, I thought I read 10. When we went down at 9:28 we were told very rudely to get away from the breakfast buffet. When I went down earlier the "buffet" consisted of potatoes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. Oatmeal was also provided along with maybe 5 different cold items.l I could have paid $16 for 2 pancakes and 3 pieces of bacon. Not worth it in my mind. Those pancakes though would have to have very special ingredients to make it worth it. Recommended? Maybe. I enjoyed the room and they do have room service. I didn't do it. But I would stay here again just for the room and the location.

I also liked the lobby where we could all cowork a bit. The average: the cost was manageable for a work trip, but it's still pricey like all things in Boulder. It's the value option but would be a high end price point in a lot of places. Location? Pretty good. Not a walk to the farmers' market or Pearl Street, but certainly very close to many things (including breakfast at The Buff across the street) and a very short drive to many things you'd want to be near. The main issue this time was they only had one working elevator the entire weekend we were here. It's the only way to the parking garage and there were times I was waiting 10-15 minutes per session which was insane. Staff sort of tried to play it off (what are they supposed to do?) but it was a thing. The parking garage was also jam packed on this weekend, which wasn't the case last time. We struggled to find spots multiple times, and if I hadn't committed to already adding the $27 parking fee per day, I might've tried for some street parking to save time and money. It can be very tight turning into it as well. A couple other nice touches: I liked that they had decent coffee available in the lobby during the mornings, and a cold filtered water station. The bar wasn't open which would've been nice as we all unwound after an event, but it is what it is. This one hit most boxes the first time around, but didn't quite pan out perfectly on round two. I'll consider it if traveling to Boulder, but will probably look elsewhere first.

The property itself is beautiful, modern, and generally well maintained. Unfortunately, some significant shortcomings kept this stay from being a four- or five-star experience. The showers do not have doors that adequately close off the water, so every time someone takes a shower, water gets all over the bathroom floor. This isn't simply a minor inconvenience. During our stay, our son almost slipped and fell twice in the middle of the night because of the amount of water left on the floor after someone had showered. I understand that some modern hotels use open-concept showers, but there needs to be an effective way to prevent water from spreading across the bathroom floor. Guests shouldn't have to mop up a large puddle after every shower, particularly at a property designed for longer stays where families may be using the same bathroom multiple times a day. What was even more concerning was that, after speaking with one manager after another, it became clear that the hotel is already aware of this issue If management knows that the shower design regularly causes water to accumulate on the bathroom floor and potentially creates a slipping hazard, guests should at minimum be made aware of it. Better yet, the issue should be addressed. These issues point to what I felt was a larger problem with communication and transparency with customers Had I known beforehand that the shower could leave the bathroom floor dangerously wet, especially to the point where our son nearly slipped twice, I would have reconsidered staying here. Aside from those concerns, the property itself is quite nice. The location in Boulder Canyon is appealing, the hotel has the newer Residence Inn feel, and the overall accommodations are comfortable. The breakfast is pretty standard for a Residence Inn--perfectly decent and convenient, but nothing particularly memorable or worth writing home about. I really wanted to like this property more. With some attention to the shower design and better communication with guests about room views and potential issues, this could be a much stronger Marriott experience.

There is $25 charge for parking per day, but they do have an u ground parking garage that connects directly to the elevator which makes it easily to go back and forth. They do have a hotel breakfast which was alright but had plenty of options. The room was spacious enough and the bathroom was great! Only wish there was a shower door to fully close but it was manageable. The kitchen area was fully stocked with dishes and utensils. This seemed like a fairly new hotel and was located in walking distance of many different attractions.

I was attending a conference in downtown Boulder, but looking for inexpensive, yet safe, accommodation. The reviews for Boulder University Inn were remarkably good for the price point, so I booked. When we arrived, I was a bit skeptical given the outside appearance. It looked like an old motel. Checking in at the front desk was easy and pleasant enough. It felt like a small, old school motel, which was different than the big hotel chains I'm used to, but it had its own kind of charm. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The real charm came from the service though. Samantha was at the front desk and when my sister and I asked about the safety of the area (in terms of walking to Downtown Boulder and back, possibly at night), she gave us great info and made us feel comfortable. Beyond giving us a quick lay of the land, we were extremely thirsty after a long walk and she was so kind as to offer us some extra complimentary waters. This was a small thing, but sets a small hotel apart from the big chains where no one has the autonomy to make someone's day with a little kindness. Overall, an affordable, safe, and decent hotel in Boulder that I'd definitely return to in the future!

The lamp and clock on the chipped and stained nightstand were completely crooked which was odd. We thought for a moment that we walked into the wrong room. This $300 stay was in a room that can be seen at a $120 La Quinta Inn. I travel for a living and am in roughly 30+ hotels a year. I was thankful though that the bed and pillows were comfortable enough to sleep well in. The towels are rough and cheap or old maybe? The bathroom counter needed repair. Just overall not good. Upon first arrival to the inn we walked in to be greeted by one in tact and one half eaten small muffin on the food bar which I guess was the snack offering as it was on a little service dish not an individuals plate. Super uninviting. The parking was great though and appreciated. We did enjoy the Great Room a little while during our stay which was cozy. When we got back from our dinner on Friday evening just before 9pm we wanted a cup of hot tea for bed and there was no longer any hot water on the beverage bar. What a disappointment. I will also say the tea choices were worse than that at a Hampton Inn. Very basic and not even close to even what a mid level hotel offers. The breakfast was nice. Quiche looked amazing but by the time we came down to eat at 9:45 which I understand is 15 minutes before it ended - the warmer was off and the quiche was cold. We did grab a muffin which tasted like it was from Safeway or Costco but it helped as we were hungry. Instead we had to eat a light bite across the street at the cafe. Another disappointment. Overall what could and should have been a really special experience felt like a run down room with a mediocre breakfast experience. I came with my adult daughter to celebrate her 26th birthday and I have to be honest and say that I felt terrible that I chose this inn. We made the best of it and really enjoyed our time together just the same because after all that is what mattered most.
