What a real gem near Boulder, Colorado. We were fortunate to stay here for two nights and just had a blast and great home base for all the activities that surround this place. The staff were super friendly and there was a beautiful lodge just to chill at with Wi-Fi. Also there is a gentle creek that runs through the center. We happen to have one of the van life/car spaces which worked perfect for us. There was a platform and electrical outlet if you needed electricity. Also the bathrooms were clean and very accessible. This is a great place and will come again in the future!

Stayed at the A-Lodge in Boulder for a wedding. The location is outside of the city. The cabins are tucked at the bottom of a hill and over a small stream. There is a nice deck and plenty of area to relax outside and enjoy nature. The lodges have nice amenities including a stove, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator and tv. You need to know that you will not get any cell service here. There is WiFi for WiFi calling. The WiFi is not very fast and I had difficulties. UberEats will deliver to the location. The room was clean. Keep in mind that this is a Lodge. You are not staying at a Hilton. There is a skylight that allows enough light to light up the room. However this skylight will wake you up early. The staff said the rooms had air condition but they kept them turned off. The weather was hot one day but the room stayed comfortable with the help of a fan in the room abs leaving the window open. The service was good and people were nice. You are close to downtown Boulder, mountains, fishing, hiking, restaurants and entertainment. I wold consider staying again.

We were looking for a reasonable place to stay in Boulder, and this place fit the bill! It didn't quite seem like it was from the ads, but it was super cute. Each room was in a motel stretch, and they were very comfortable. The bed was nice, the bathroom was sufficient, and there was a mini fridge and coffee station too. In addition, they also had a complimentary breakfast of coffee, tea, juice, yoghurt, waffles, etc. It was winter when we stayed, and it was just for a bit, but this seems like a fun place to stay with the family in the summer. There is a pool, a hot tub, and a good sized outdoors areas with corn hole and other games. Stay here when you're in Boulder for a good time!

Bus stop (N line) to get into town (5 min walk from lodge).

Found this gem as I was trying to find lodging in Boulder. I was traveling solo and there weren't a lot of hostel options in Boulder - thank goodness for the A-Lodge! That said, this review is based solely on a stay in the hostel section - not the regular rooms. Since it's only a 12 bed hostel, I'd recommend booking early, especially during peak season. Location A-Lodge is located up in the mountains of Boulder. It's a great location - it feels secluded, yet you're only about a 7 to 10 minute drive into town. Being that you're in the semi-boonies, your cell reception might not work, though they do have wi-fi. A-Lodge is best accessed if you have your own car. Uber/Lyft could work, though it's touch and go due to the poor cellular reception. I opted to take public transportation - there's a bus stop that's only a few minutes walk away. Definitely check the schedule as it doesn't come super often - there were times of the day where the bus only came 1x/hour. Room The hostel is located in one building and is made up of 3 "rooms" (some rooms didn't have a door). Each room has 4 beds and there's a main common area by the front doors that has a couch, table, chairs, and small kitchen area. Lockers are available and there are 2 shared bathrooms between the 3 rooms. Beds are bunk beds. The rooms have a lodge vibe (so not super up to date), but feels nice and cozy. Since I visited during low season (winter), there were very few guests - was nice to only share the space with a few people. Amenities The office building does have a cool hangout area. The downstairs has some couches and a fireplace. They also sell small bites, beer, and wine - while the menu isn't extensive, it's nice to have the option of getting food when you're in the semi-boonies. Free breakfast is also available - it's fairly basic, but you can get your fill of waffles, yogurt, juices, coffee, cereal, and oatmeal. The upstairs has a lounge area with a few spots to sit, an entrance to a small outside patio, and a rec room. This is where they had some live music one night. The outside also has a few chairs/gravity chairs to lounge around in - wished I was here during warmer weather to be able to sit outside and relax. Service Customer service was great - no complaints. Overall, A-Lodge is a great place to stay - you can disconnect, yet also be close to town. Excellent value for a hostel stay - would highly recommend.

What an amazing place to stay in Boulder. You're surrounded by nature, no noisy city noises, enjoying our coffee every morning in the fresh air was a calm and appreciated experience. The staff was super friendly, supplied great suggestions of things to do in Boulder, were accommodating & welcoming. If I find myself in Boulder again, there's no way I'd stay anywhere else.

I want to give this place more stars because it is so cool. But there are things about it that are a struggle - the first of which is the entrance - which has a great sign but when you are arriving in the dark - it is difficult to see the road you are supposed to take and it's a little drop - not a real safe highlight to getting into the lodge area. Check in was great and the room was cute. We had a room which was identified as one with a kitchenette - I kind of think that is stretching it, but it worked for us. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The bed was mostly comfortable but we noticed that the mattress shifted - luckily I was with a cuddler, so we stuck to the middle. The bathroom has no heat - which is a struggle in the winter - made me wonder if that is why the bathroom sink had to be plunged a couple of times. The hot tub was a huge mess - we never got to use it - the first night we went to use it - half of the lid was in the water and the water was so very dirty - the next night we were told it was ready to go but when we went to use it, it was locked up. The people who work there are very nice and it is a beautiful place to be. While we had struggles, I would go back, just maybe when it's a little warmer.

I am such a fan of this super dog- welcoming lodge! The receptionist Dylan was just awesome and so was his fun doggy The rooms were great and bright, parking right out front and lots of outdoor area for me to go potty. In general a very peaceful vibe. Tomorrow we will do one of the hikes that are just walking distance from this cool place.

TENT SITE REVIEW I'm writing this review for a recent tent site stay for two nights. Please note that this was during the COVID-19 crisis and some of the amenities were closed because of it. Overall, it was a very nice stay. Front desk guys were very friendly. There are 4 tent platforms/decks on the hill behind the lodge. The platforms have a rail and plenty of eye hooks to secure your tent, I used bungee cords and didn't even need to break out any tent stakes or tie down ropes. It took a little bit of walking up some stairs and a trail to get to the tent campsite. Due to the stairs, there was no way to use a cart or rolling cooler to tote your gear, so expect to make a few trips. I had a two person tent and there was plenty of room for chairs and such on the platform. Plan ahead for meals as there was no option for cooking at the campsite, no fire rings, etc. There were two fire pits on the property, one was gas near the office (no cooking, just a fire pit), the second was by the creek with plentiful firewood next to it. There was a grate over part of it that you could probably cook on but it looked more suited for wieners and marshmallows on a stick. I saw a gas grill but wasn't sure if it was available for guest use. The property was very nice and I enjoyed hanging out down by the creek, it was great and relaxing. They also seem to rent adventure camper vans and also had two camper van/car camping sites. I'm not sure on the situation with utilities on the two sites, but I did see a long electric cord that looked like it attached shore power to one of the vans? The stay included use of a bathroom and shower. There are two outdoor entry bathrooms, one has a shower. I did not see any guest towels available so you may want to pack your own. Easy parking, no issues. I saw some guests with wine & beer which I believe they may have gotten in the office but I was social distancing due to the crisis and only went into the office once during check in. I understand that they used to offer some kind of continental breakfast pre-Covid, but it was not available during my stay (completely understandable). They are located a few miles up Boulder Canyon, I believe it was the first right hand turn with it's own turn lane once you start into the twisties in the canyon. You can't miss the property on the left, look for the A-LODGE sign overhead. I did receive the following info -AFTER- I paid for my booking on their website regarding COVID-19: "****A-Lodge COVID-19 Policies**** Dear Adventurers, We are implementing CORONAVIRUS POLICIES at the Boulder Adventure Lodge to ensure the health / safety of our guests and staff; these new policies are in line with the majority of the hotel industry and are subject to change as the current global situation changes. We have new LOBBY / OFFICE HOURS FROM 8AM-8PM. To prevent contamination, we ask guests to avoid the lobby unless checking in/out or seeking urgent help from Desk Staff; FACIAL COVERINGS OVER THE MOUTH AND NOSE ARE REQUIRED for all staff and guests when in the lobby. As always, we can be reached at the front desk by hitting "0" on the phone in your room. Our current OFFICE CAPACITY IS 1 GROUP AT A TIME. To protect lodge staff, multiple-night stays WILL NOT RECEIVE DAILY HOUSEKEEPING. While we can guarantee a total lack of Covid-19 in rooms we sanitize after guests check out, we cannot guarantee safe working conditions for our staff in occupied rooms. We have PAUSED THE COMPLIMENTARY GRAB N' GO BREAKFAST until we are able to provide food with zero risk of cross-contamination. Likewise, coffee + coffee-makers will not be available in the lobby but will be stocked in every room. The A-Lodge HOT TUB AND POOL WILL REMAIN CLOSED until further notice. Feel free to ask us any questions about our updated sanitation protocols and methods of guest and staff protection. We are doing everything we can to implement preventative measures and are more than happy to answer any questions / concerns you may have about your stay with us. WE THANK ALL THE A-LODGE FAMILY for their patience and support during these trying times. We are incredibly excited to host our amazing guests again and to get back to a sense of normalcy. Thank you so very much, we look forward to plenty of amazing adventures with you!! -Kris, Asa, and the A-Lodge Crew (and dogs)"

This place is very nice. We will go back soon. It has everything you need for a nice vacation, now, if you like 5 star hotels, this is not for you, it is more uncomplicated style. It has a small kitchen although it would be nice if they had a microwave. The bathroom is not bad, but if it would be good if they were to clean it while one is staying there, it does not seem that they care much. The only bad thing is that I think the heating was not very powerful and it was too cold for the season all over the place, however, the bed and the blankets were great and super comfortable. It is far from downtown. There is no breakfast, but they give you coffee and sometimes fruit. It is super quiet and the view is incredible

Loved loved loved this place! Wish we could have spent more time there. Modest accommodations, clean, super friendly staff, nice location - feels like you are in the middle of the mountains. Lots of dogs visiting- as well as friendly owners. Nice breakfast basic- but offering make your own waffles. Had a nice hot tub last night that helped my aching ski muscles!

Eclectic Funky Staff SUPER nice Beautiful setting Bathroom in serious need of updating - door wouldn't even fully close Toilet was old and bottom stained "Kitchenette" decent but have to ask for any utensils Free yogurt, cereal, coffee, oatmeal nice Pool was perfect temp Wifi was fine but I could not use iPhone for calls (att) only apple texts - weird Bed decent - mattress firm, sheets nice Best part was the firepit at night Kind of felt like national lampoon vaca Lots of potential Would stay again

The lobby is definitely the highlight--absolutely beautiful with intricate details, a vintage glass ceiling, and a grand, elegant feel that gives you a sense of the building's history. Our room was clean, and the bathroom was also well-maintained. The surrounding area felt safe, which we appreciated. That said, the room itself was a bit dark, which seems pretty typical for many American hotels. The biggest downside for us was the required valet parking. It meant we never really had easy access to our car unless we wanted to go through the hassle of requesting it every time. Because of that, we ended up just using Uber the whole stay. Personally, I would much rather just pay to park and have direct access to my own vehicle. To be fair, the valet staff were always very friendly and welcoming whenever we came and went. We also ran into some minor inconveniences--there didn't seem to be enough robes, towels, or washcloths available during our stay. Overall, it was fine for a short visit. The lobby is stunning and the location is excellent, but the valet situation alone would make me choose somewhere else next time.

The shower pressure was like getting hit by Niagara Falls and honestly I'm here for it! Only drawback for me was the loud air conditioning when it kicked in. Like, you had to increase the volume on the television, and then lower the volume when it stopped. I didn't take advantage of the amenities (pool, dining, gym) due to my work schedule. However we did hang out by the fire pits and these are a nice touch. Now, one of them wasn't working and the other was going in and out, but the fact they had them was a win. Personally not a fan of the parking situation underneath the hotel. It shares a lot with the other hotels and businesses, and the parking spaces are way too tight. Parking isn't included and charged to your room upon checkout. Pros are free coffee in the lobby, walking distance to The Buff and Twenty Ninth Street Mall, and overall an engaging staff willing to accommodate your needs. The rooms themselves are incredibly tiny (think dorm room sized) with beds no larger than a queen. Additionally they have common area closets where you need to go for extra amenities such as lotion or extra pillows. This $300 stay was in a room that can be seen at a $120 La Quinta Inn. I travel for a living and am in roughly 30+ hotels a year. I was thankful though that the bed and pillows were comfortable enough to sleep well in. The towels are rough and cheap or old maybe? The bathroom counter needed repair. Just overall not good. Upon first arrival to the inn we walked in to be greeted by one in tact and one half eaten small muffin on the food bar which I guess was the snack offering as it was on a little service dish not an individuals plate. Super uninviting. The parking was great though and appreciated. We did enjoy the Great Room a little while during our stay which was cozy. When we got back from our dinner on Friday evening just before 9pm we wanted a cup of hot tea for bed and there was no longer any hot water on the beverage bar. What a disappointment. I will also say the tea choices were worse than that at a Hampton Inn. Very basic and not even close to even what a mid level hotel offers. The breakfast was nice. Quiche looked amazing but by the time we came down to eat at 9:45 which I understand is 15 minutes before it ended - the warmer was off and the quiche was cold. We did grab a muffin which tasted like it was from Safeway or Costco but it helped as we were hungry. Instead we had to eat a light bite across the street at the cafe. Another disappointment. Overall what could and should have been a really special experience felt like a run down room with a mediocre breakfast experience. I came with my adult daughter to celebrate her 26th birthday and I have to be honest and say that I felt terrible that I chose this inn. We made the best of it and really enjoyed our time together just the same because after all that is what mattered most.

The Bradley is fine, provided you're not expecting a luxury hotel experience. This is an INN,…read morey'all. There are only 12 rooms. It's right off of the main drag of downtown Boulder. C'mon, folks. The pros: The staff are nice (and who really cares if a staff member is a little high, this is Colorado, per the other review--Bradley is a super nice guy and I never saw him stoned during my nearly one week stay) The breakfast is lovely--fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, baked goods, and quiche--along with coffee, tea, etc. If it's your thing, you can have drinks around 5pm with some snacks Prime location in downtown Boulder with parking Lovely great room and office area The cons: Yes, the rooms are somewhat dated--I stayed in two different rooms, and one had some really worn carpet--but they're clean You can experience a decent amouont of road noise on the first floor, and I didn't have luck getting help with my suitcase up to the second floor (and I had a sprained shoulder, but it was manageable) They have wifi and now cable (along with DVD players, though I had to have them replace the DVD player) but no smart TVs if you are obsessed with that Overall, I'd stay here again...and I'm PICKY.
