Yes the former owners were from india, great american indian ownwers who told the truth aout products and were patriots. but the new owner's lied to me about prices and military discounts. and recently the made it clear they dont like veterans and that i could take my buisness elsewhere. So all veterans and patriots and indeed current military forces are encouraged to take your buisness to more American friendly establishments. simply blocks away. they will greet you with discounts and friendlyness. Eh....I guess if needed this place will get you what u need. All 4 of the staff was behind the counter when I walked in and all chimed in a friendly hello. I was looking specifically for Ginger Beer. They had a 4 pack of bottles for nearly 9.00. I decided to leave it right on the shelf and go elsewhere. They appeared to have a decent selection but just based on the price of that 4 pack I knew I could get get a better selection a mile in the other direction. read more

Hampden Crossing Liquor - the outside of a liquor store - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

First off this is our neighborhood liquor store and we are in there all of the time. My wife went in to buy some alcohol. The woman behind the counter asked her if she'd been drinking, which she hadn't. Then she accused her of being on painkillers, which despite her neck being broken she's not on. She's on strong ibuprofen sure but not anything that would be considered dangerous. Plus it's not her business anyway?! She bought a couple teas and a vape for me and went outside where our dog was waiting. She did try to get someone to buy the shots we wanted but the woman refused service. Then my wife went in to buy cigarettes and she said she was going to call the cops, and that she needed to stop coming in and out. And refused to sell her the cigarettes. I just recently gave birth (7 weeks early!) and my son is still in the hospital and just had surgery and we just wanted to have a drink! This woman refused service for absolutely no valid reason. It's absolutely ridiculous that she gets to make the judgment call based on fake bullshit. There's plenty of liquor stores around, I don't need to go there. The way my wife was treated is unacceptable. I've worked customer service and it doesn't matter what her opinion is, she had no right to be so rude. It's booze and cigarettes. There was no reason for it to turn into this whole thing. I'd go in myself but my nerves are shot and I'd probably say something I'd regret. read more

This place is crazy! I went in to buy some vodka and ginger ale. I waited patiently in line yesterday. As I helped the lady behind the register scan each item plus a pack of ciggs, instead of telling my total, she accused me of drinking already. Like she is the police. Apparently this is their practice. It's a shame they still let that lady work there. And we all know who she is. This was at 5 pm ish. She is very rude even after I told her I haven't been drinking. I recommend going right next to Safeway. They have better staff. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHAM OF A STORE, AND RUDE ASS SERVICE! read more

I came in to this store with My adult teenager who was not purchasing liquor and with me. As I'm the adult/guardian with the minor; I was told she need to stand outside. I then ask to speak to the manager who agreed his staff was wrong. Then one of his wonderful customer said and behave disrespectful and mock our color.Then the manager threatens to call the police. We left and will never spend a dime in there. As for my other black neighbors go to a different store these folks are rude and disrespectful and can make there money elsewhere!!!! read more

This is my local liquor store, so I've been in quite a few times. They're always very friendly, and I've found them to have a great selection (including Fre, which is alcohol free wine and has been my savior during pregnancy). They often have free tastings and my husband comes home from there with new things to try all the time. read more

This is from about 20 visits. Young ladies that work there are moody. Super nice sometimes, other times not so much. They seem to be nice when my wife is not with me, but I've never truly tracked this. They usually have quite a bit of staff, but aren't always helpful. Sometimes they are walking around offering help while other times they congregate as group behind the counter talking amongst themselves. Bottom line, customer service is all over the place. They have a decent selection, but way overpriced on anything that is unique. If you are close enough just go to Chambers Liquor (way more selection, better prices and super nice employees). If you have to go here, well, don't. Save your money, time and any good mood you may have. read more

They make a point to follow certain types of people around; I guess they assume we are all unaware and don't know blatant stereotyping when we see it. Two guys might be outside smoking but then when I walk in (at least on 3 occasions) they stop, and come inside behind me. If I go to beer coolers one of them goes into the freezer to watch me. Then when I go to checkout, they always ask for my ID and verify my credit card against it. At least twice they haven't done the same for the people that were in front of me also paying with cards on a different register. It's ridiculous, blatant, and rude. I wouldn't recommend anyone give them their business. By the way never stolen a thing in my life, or been arrested for that matter. read more

Well i stopped coming to this liqour store about 4 years ago because the dude here is always rude to me. But I was right there today so I thought "what the hell" I'll give them another shot. Guess what? Beard face is still rude and a jerk. I pulled up into the closest Parking spot to the front door. I'm a disabled veteran by the way. After I pulled in I checked my email. I had some messsges that I started to reply to. After some time the bearded Lumberjack came out and said the spot I was in was for customers only. I said I will be a customer in a couple minutes. This must have made him grumpy and he pointed out the sign saying "30 Minutes Customers Only". I understand he's concerned that his potential customers have a place to park but there was always several spots open in front of his store while I was there. He spoke to me rudely with a tone of voice like an adult reprimanding a child. Then he walked away grumbling derogitory statements. His big beard does obstruct his face but I still can see this guy never smiles. I went into the store and purchased over $60 of good beer. Grizzly Adams never acknowledged I came into the store and never made eye contact when I came to the counter and made my purchase. Through his hairy chin I think I saw a slight smirk on his face. I swear I'll not return to this unpleasent man's store again. If I do then I'm a jerk or a masochist. read more

Was trying to make a last minute stop for beer before a party, after popping into 3 different locations in the way, we called hampden crossings. DC answered the phone on the first ring, not only confirmed that they did carry Dry Dock Apricot Ale but that it was closest to "door 2 and about collar bone height." We arrive about 2 minutes later and ran into him in the store. His service was above and beyond what I ever expected. The staff here is like the crowd of metal heads or stoners in high school. They seem super moody and aloof, but if you get to know them and ask them to help you find something special, especially if it's wine, you're in! You're one of the cool kids now! They are actually super helpful if you give them a chance and don't act like you're trying to steal something. I think they might get a lot of people ripping them off, so they have to be a little tough. This store is small enough that you don't get overwhelmed, but they are totally capable of finding great stuff for you, so just ask! Although not super knowledgable about wine, they do know enough and are not snobby or showy about it. They have special ordered several things for me. It's a small business that I'm happy to support over the big box, impersonal liquor stores. Some of their prices seem a little high for certain things, but that comes with small businesses.
