Carpets in stairwells and hallways are disgusting, I have found dog poop in the stairwells on multiple occasions. The trash rooms overflow with garbage pretty frequently. Staff are not on top of these issues, for some of these issues have been going on for months... It's definitely not worth the expense to live here.

Please read the following post before renting an apartment at The Elevate…read more My son has lived here for a couple of years now. Recently, the batteries went dead on the electronic lock on his door so he was unable to lock his door. He notified the management that he could not secure his apartment (studio) and that he was basically stuck at home there until maintenance could fix his door lock. The management sent the maintenance guy down who told him that they could change the batteries out but didn't have the computer program to re-program the locks (computers with program on them stolen evidently) so his apartment would remain unlockable. This was on a Thursday. My son went back on Friday. No resolution, no plan, no repair just lots of excuses to not repair door. No urgency, no apparent desire to solve the problem before the weekend. Entire weekend then stuck in an unlockable apartment. My son missed his weekend at work because he could not lock his door and leave and subsequently missed out on a couple hundred dollars of pay. Monday, same song and dance. Run around from management. Calls to regional manager who wouldn't answer phone and apparently would not authorize the placement of a simple mechanical lock on the door. On Tuesday I got involved and called asking to talk to the manager. She was pleasant but said her hands were tied. I requested to talk to regional manager and got his number. Based out of Arizona, he would not answer my calls or return my calls. Several attempts but no contact and zero customer service. I asked the building manager if they could at least put a standard mechanical lock on the door so he could lock his apartment and attend class. More run around, no resolution. Finally on Wednesday, we heard they were going to fix the lock sometime between 10am and 2pm. My son went to class expecting the problem to be resolved. Came back from class-door lock still broken. Thursday, one week from door lock problem the maintenance guy came back out and put a mechanical door lock on his door which is what should have been done on day one. So, what is your time worth? What value do you put on expecting that your apartment is going to be lockable and secure? What value do you put on your belongings? Your computer and personal items? What does it feel like to be sequestered in your room because the management would not authorize a door lock for your apartment? (a really simple and inexpensive fix) What kind of obligation do you feel toward your employer and the job that you have? What dollar value do you think this should impact rent? Please remember that Elevate is a private for profit business that recognizes that students are transitory and likely will only live there for a year or two. Taking care of their residents does not appear to be a priority in any shape or form. Please take this into consideration before renting an apartment here. Doug S

We got to tour the fitness center, gymnasium and pool area. I fell for it and it costed me. I truly believed that when another student told my professor that I felt suicidal, that I would be helped. Instead my tuition was wasted. I was told to enroll in courses that had no site placement. Then when I asked my professor about the shared concern from my classmate regarding how I felt suicidal, she gaslighted me. She forgot that my classmate said I felt suicidal. Mind you, my classmate shared this information without my permission. We had a three hour meeting after class that I can't believe she forgot... I thought I'd be supported but instead I was ignored for the rest of the year due to the courses that did not exist. I was then suddenly removed from my program because I was told I was not ready for my final quarter. I would have been ready if I actually had learned what the missing courses failed to provide due to not existing at all. All of my classmates noticed how I was treated, but nothing was ever done to help me, because then the school year ended and everyone graduated. The program I was in had high suicide and mental health stats, which I learned after I graduated. In hindsight, the pressures of how challenging the program is was a huge source of stress, which was basically mocked at the front door, during orientation. Do not expect this university to actually care about you as a person. You only seem to matter if you can contribute financially, but otherwise, you're completely on your own. Other things happened too. I'm not sure why there weren't better actions in place. After my sudden program removal, I was actually preyed on by a student who took advantage of me and raped me. And if that wasn't enough insult to injury, I never used my college degree for anything because my credentials were incomplete and all my financial aid ran out, even though I had a full ride, which was all wasted and never reimbursed, when I wasn't provided courses. This was all extremely painful for me to go through and i would argue that I never deserved what happened to me. I hope that this isn't the standard for how this university treats students who feel suicidal. Before my classmate shared anything about suicide, no professors could tell. So I felt exposed and then discarded. This was so brutal and unexpected at the end of college. My life has not been the same since. There are better colleges that won't make you go through what I went through. WWU is a high risk and a gamble in my honest opinion. You don't get a nice college name in the end. Anywhere else is better. I hope this helps.

I took one star off because it took two weeks and I had to call to ask where my stuff is and then it took tree more days for it to be delivered. I am handicapped and started to get desperate for some of my things in the load. I don't have a problem for it to take two weeks considered the distance. Unfortunately we graduated and my fiance was offered a job opportunity back at home so we moved. We have had a hard time finding a place down at home that compares. This complex was pet friendly, the apartments are very clean, well maintained, spacious and affordable. The staff is beyond great, they're always available to talk to, the property grounds are well kept, quiet, and safe. We never once had an issue with our place and the only time we had a small maintenance request, it was handled within the hour. We also miss their workout area and club house. They have pool table, bowflex, three cardio machines and a sauna. Rarely did it ever get busy enough to wait for anything either. The location is great, it's not too far from the University and in a great neighborhood where you're close enough to the city, but partying and noise had never been an issue. The complex is comprised of a pretty even mix of students and working professionals. You're just about a 10 minute walk to Fred Meyer or to Haggen and the park 'n ride is right across the street, so you have plenty of options. This place is rarely vacant, as we were on a waiting list and referred by some friends before first living here. So take a look and if they have a vacancy, take it! You'll thank me later! :)

The apartments themselves are spacious and a great value for the price. I lived in both a two bedroom and a one bedroom and they were both huge! The one bedroom had the largest closet I have ever seen in an apartment, ever. The cabinets/carpet/flooring are all standard apartment fare, nothing special but really well maintained. Washer, dryer, dishwasher included. There's an exercise room in the main building and you can reserve common area in the main building for events.
