We bought a Toro 21-inch recycler lawn mower directly from the Toro online store. We thought we had made a great choice because there were many positive reviews of this mower, However, when it was delivered, we tested it. We were upset because it was quite difficult to cut the grass when going uphill. The Toro online store said we cannot return the product once we have added fuel (gas and oil) to it. That's when I called The Hitch Man, and Adam said I should bring the mower to his store in Taneytown, MD, and that he would do his best to help. Once I went over to the store, Adam and his team helped me take the heavy mower out of my minivan, they added their own gas, and adjusted the mower so that it could propel easily up hill. We had a brake issue where it was not engaging in our trailer and not only did he look at all potential issues, he took the time (outside his normal business hours) to look out for our drivers safety and other drivers on the road. I called just about every shop in the area that works on diesel and all of them told me that they didn't want to work on it, a few people even laughed at me, said "no thanks" and hung up on me. Dave was very kind and helpful on the phone and said that if I could get it to their shop they'd look at it first thing in the morning. We managed to limp the bus over to the shop. Dave was still there when we arrived (it was evening) and he was kind enough to give us a ride to our motel. Aaron had the bus fixed by noon the next day. We had another complication as we drove another 30 miles up the road, and Aaron arrived as quickly as he could and jumped through hoops to get us back on the road. After that last hiccup, we made it back to CT safe and sound and the bus drove wonderfully. I've never had such a pleasant experience with a mechanic shop. These folks know what they're doing and they care. Dave even called us after we left to wish us safe travels. The competence and the kindness were truly overwhelming. It's one of those experiences that makes you feel better about humanity.

After repeated attempts to jump the vehicle we called AAA to tow the it to a local garage. While waiting for the tow truck, two very nice gentlemen pulled into the gas station to get kerosene. I apologized that our dead vehicle was in the way of the kerosene pump, and they asked me what was wrong and to try to start the engine because they were local mechanics. Once they heard the vehicle's sounds they knew what the problem was. They were extremely helpful so we told the tow truck to take the vehicle down the road to their garage. We dropped off the vehicle, they diagnosed the issue that night, and by late morning of the next day our issue was fixed. We want to thank the guys at Richwine's for being there for us and for fixing our vehicle. They were extremely helpful on a 24 degree night and they helped us out immensely. We will be taking all of our vehicle to them in the future. Thank you, Richwine's!
