First visit to see Drs. Hammer & Codd. Very supportive and well-organized on-boarding process helped me feel comfortable to try out a new chiropractor. Sarah ushered me in and recorded my starting points with Dr. Codd. After evaluating my motility, I was carefully maneuvered to free up more, and balance, free movement than I had when I arrived. Great start, and I'm looking forward to my return. read more

I've been going to Dr Hammer (Ron) for 33 years. I've never had less than an excellent experience. As 'father time' marches on , time takes it's toll. Sadly Dr Hammer is only working 2 part days. I still work and finding an opening in his schedule is challenging. All my best wishes for Dr Hammer, I will continue knocking on his door. I, from time to time need to get an adjustment and availability at his office is difficult. Dr Cod is doing her best. ............ read more

My family and I have been going to this office for over a year. Everything is 5 star from the care to everyone that is a part of the team! We appreciate all of you!! read more

Big fan of Dr. Hammer, I have been seeing him for about 3 years now for multiple different reasons. He has a great sense of humor and real good at his job. I always feel so much better after leaving there. Also the staff is always very pleasant and easy to deal with. He is usually about 5 minutes late for his appointments but he's worth the wait. read more

Our family has been going to Hammer Chiropractic for over 8 years. We have always received top notch service from Juliette at the front desk to Dr. Hammer and Dr. Codd. Juliette has always made a point to work with my husbands scheduling restrictions without ever making him feel like it was an inconvenience. I have brought both of my children (11 and 15) into to see Dr. Codd for different reasons. She was great at explaining what was going to happen and making them feel at ease with the exam. We recommend Hammer Chiro to all our family and friends. read more

I have been visiting Hammer Chiropractic for about 3 years now. Dr. Jen has helped me reduce the frequency of my migraines and assisted with relieving other various aches and pains as well. I'm so glad I found her! The entire staff here is friendly and helpful, making it welcoming and pleasant every time I'm there. read more

I have NEVER met a more thorough chiropractor. He uses a variety of approaches. It's not a quick crack and you're out. In fact, I've not had any "cracks". I had pain in my shoulder for years, thinking I just needed more yoga. I saw a number of chiropractors, and he was the first to take an x-ray and see that I have some degeneration in my neck that was radiating to the shoulder. We got a plan and with ongoing maintenance I'm good. If you've been to others, go to Dr. Hammer and you will see a BIG difference. And he's a great guy. read more

I moved from Seattle where I had an amazing chiropractor. Unfortunately, it was a challenge to find another chiropractor of the same caliber in sweet little "Puma". Finally, 3 chiropractors later I found Dr. Hammer. I appreciate his professional yet personal bedside manner. It's not "pop-crackle-pop". I especially like that he spends just the right amount of time taking care of the issue; not too little nor too much! He's a gem. I told him he's not allowed to retire anytime soon! Hopefully he listened! ;) read more

I am not a huge fan of Drs. in general, but I was in some pretty real pain-pretty sure something had gone awry. I figured a chiropractor could address my immovable neck and shoulder with an adjustment? Dr. Hammer reviewed general health and could feel where the problem was. Bottom line-very real pain relief in a very short amount of time. Dr. H did take X-rays to ensure no significant damage that he couldn't fix. He explained every step very clearly-no smoke and mirrors- and was very professional and NOT glib or overblown. Never met a Dr. I trusted so much; very reasonable fees; very organized clean and pleasant office; no long waits; I wish all my health care was this straightforward AND provided real relief. If you are looking for a chiropractor I can't imagine a better find. Do yourself a HUGE favor and give Dr. H a visit-your body will thank you. read more

Awesome chiro and staff. Been going for a few years and dr Hammer is incredibly talented, caring and helpful. Highly recommended.

I have been with Ron Hammer for over 10 years now and have referred many people to his office. Previously I used 2 or 3 different Chiropractors in the Petaluma, and had negative experiences. Dr. Hammer takes the time to correctly diagnose a problem and if he feels he is not the correct provider he will refer the patient to someone else including other medical staff. In fact he once insisted upon me receiving a CAT scan due to a problem with my neck and a problem with my Thyroid was discovered. He followed up on the discovery to make sure I saw a specialist at Kaiser. He has been in practice a long time and has a lot of practical experience. He does not press upon the patient expensive remedies and always I leave the office feeling better. The "Rub Club" is an excellent program providing a mixture of Chiropractic maintenance and massage at a great value. I highly recommend Dr. Hammer and suggest you visit him to determine if his practice is a good fit for your health maintenance. read more

Best chiropractor ever. A decade I have been coming here and the staff is incredible as well. The best chiros carry some weight and are large, that is just factual as it is easier for them to manipulate the spine, and doctor hammer fits this mold. Not to mention a really good person who has a passion for this. read more

Simply The Best, I have a complicated back problem that requires a special touch. Hammer is the only Chiro I have been able to find to get my back aligned in the complicated shoulder blade portion of the back. He solves my back and neck issues every visit. I don't know how I would live without his treatments. read more

Just heard from the Dr. today to say he was sorry he was overbooked on my first day.

Dr Hammer is fantastic. He restored the range of motion I had lost and keeps me nice and aligned. I also SWEAR by the laser treatments. Totally helped my plantar facsitis and neuroma. Juliette is wonderful and always helpful when needing to cancel and reschedule. It's a great office. So nice to be treated so well! read more

I have been going to Dr. Hammer for over 25 years. The best there is in Petaluma. Monthly adjustments allow me to go about my life with no back issues. Dr. Jen is following her Dad in becoming a great Chiropractor as well. Juliette is amazing at the front desk, keeping me scheduled monthly. Very friendly and professional office Thank you all !!!! read more

The chiropractor is OK but the front office person is so surly, unhappy, condescending and lazy that it doesn't make it worth it to go there. I realize that last time I was thinking about having to talk to her more than the appointment and it just wasn't worth it. And the doctor told me there's been other complaints about her too but she's like family so she's not going anywhere. So I went somewhere else. I had bought a discount package and they disregarded that and took full price for two appointments out of the money I paid for the five appointment discounted session . Another reason not to go back. read more

This review is for Dr. Israel Perry. He is the best chiropractor I've been to in the North Bay. I was adjusted by Dr. Perry earlier today and I feel great. Colors are brighter, sounds are sharper, and my overall health feels as though it has improved. Thank you Dr. Perry! read more

Dr Hammer is the best! I have been going to him for about 2 years (off and on) he is awesome whether it's a sports injury or a flare up from an old accident he is always spot on. I have reccomended several people to him and have heard nothing but rave reviews! read more

Easy appointment setup, short notice. Pleasant front desk staff. Dr. Hammer was professional and made it easy to discuss my concerns and issues with my back. His payment plans make his visit affordable and payment plans are available. His visits start with the assistant running an industrial but comfortable massager over your problem areas to loosen and warm up the area and pin point your area of pain. Dr. Hammer then enters to discuss my area of pain and starts to gently work the area and adjusts the soft tissues and joints as needed. Apprehensive at first but after the last several visits I would highly recommend Dr. Hammer to everyone. There is no upsell, memberships, products, nor any pretentiousness in this GREAT Chiropratic office. read more

I have had back pain for 3 years, a horrible pinching on my lower right side. Having grown up in a medical family (dad, uncles, etc) I was very skeptical about Chiropractors. Well, not any more. Dr Hammer really knows this specialty. He diagnosed movement in my l4-l5 as I bent forward. As promised, I am at least 70% better! Treatment: 3x a week for a month, then 2x a week for a month, and then 1x a week as needed. The home exercises he gives you hold the adjustment in place over time. I forgot how good it feels not to be in chronic pain. And it was done without Injections or surgery (forget that!) read more

Dr Hammer is The Best Chiropractor I've ever went to. His prices are affordable too. I always stay in place after an adjustment. I go twice a week because I have chronic pain and I don't use meds but prefer natural mentions of adjusting, exercising, and Stretching. Thank you Dr Hammer and Staff for helping me to function better, you all are Great! Debby read more

I was a bit nervous to see a chiropractor for the first time of my life in 2015. As soon as I walked in, I felt better. The staff are friendly, their hours work well with my full time schedule and Dr. Hammer is wonderful. He is calm, patient and he gives homework. (Stretches for whatever is bothering me). His advice and demeanor is greatly appreciated and I highly recommended Dr. Hammer as a chiropractor in Sonoma County. read more

I've been going to chiropractors for 30 years and Dr. Hammer since moving to Petaluma 4 years ago. He is one of the best doctors around and I highly recommend him to all my friends. Safe, reliable help when you need it and super kind to boot. read more

Dr Hammer is the first and only Chriopractor I will see in Petaluma. He is very personable and friendly. I've had lower back pain for years. Since seeing him I have been pain free. Whenever I feel "off" I go in and explain the pain, and he adjusts me, and I feel better. You're in good hands with Dr. Hammer. Highly recommend! read more

Coming to see Dr. Hammer was the best thing I could have done after my accident. He knows what he is doing. He finds out whats really wrong with you, and knows how to help you. I highly recomend his work. read more

After suffering for days with back pain making it difficult to walk, I contacted my PC and asked for a reference. He suggested Dr. Hammer and said he had heard great things about him. While I have never seen a chiropractor before, and had my doubts about how useful this would be, I made an appointment. I was given an appointment immediately. First, x-rays were taken to make sure there was no damage. He worked on my back, gave me some instructions and had me come back a couple of days later. I still had my doubts, but after the second visit I was feeling better. Two days later, I had another treatment and felt better. Not only did he correct my back problem, he explained how to better care for my back through exercise and proper bending and stretching. He always asks if there is anything else bothering me and works on that as well. I had suffered with a stiff neck for years and found it almost impossible to turn my head very far. He worked his magic on my neck, and within about 2 minutes the pain was gone. If you feel you need a Chiropractor, or even if you don't, you probably would benefit from one, make an appointment with Dr. Hammer. I still go once a month for an adjustment and look forward to my visits. I walk in with pain and walk out feeling great. read more

I have been going to Dr. Hammer regularly for the last couple years. I am a hair stylist and was having a lot of back pain and headaches until I started seeing Dr. Hammer. He really knows what he's doing. A lot of the time he can tell where I'm in pain or in need of adjusting without me even telling him. I only have to go in once a month at this point and I always feel so much beet after I leave his office. He's also helped me with some tendonitis issues and is always able to suggest special exercises I can do at home inbetween my appointments to keep the pain under control. read more

I have seen Dr. Hammer off and on over the years for various strains and injuries, with consistent success. I was never a big believer in chiropractors, but with Dr. hammer I have come around. What I like best about Dr.Hammer is that he doesn't schedule visit after visit as so many other chiropractors do. If he doesn't think you need to come back, he says so. Sometimes one visit is plenty. Additionally, he doesn't just pop and snap your back randomly but instead really pays attention to the problem areas and concentrates on those, often warming up or massaging the area before manipulation. Highly recommend him without reservation. read more

This dude is a real deal small town healer. I have suffered from back problems my entire life, and many surgeons, doctors, and chiropractors later I have settled down with a pain doc in Sausalito, and hammer chiro to help align me. I literally cannot have anyone else touch me, I hope Hammer never retires, this is my worst fear., I go from being in severe pain to leaving his office in no pain, much of the time. He has taken many of my insurances over the years, even when I switch he still takes the new insurances. His staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Chiropractors really work if you give them a chance, and this guy is my healer. read more

I am so grateful for the help of Dr Hammer and all of his staff. After getting into a car accident I was really apprehensive about chiropractic because I was in so much pain. After reading about the wealth of experience Dr Hammer had in treating other patients, finding myself feeling terribly frustrated by other specialists and knowing I didn't want to end up relying on damaging pain medications forever I decided to give Dr Hammer a try. I am so grateful that I did. I am finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Dr Hammer helped to identify problems other doctors hadn't bothered to take the time to identify and validated my concerns. He also helped by referring me to another specialist who he knew could help me with problems beyond just chiropractic. I will be forever grateful to Dr Hammer and his whole team for all their help! read more
