amazing selection…read moreservice unusual items... my go to for kitchen and cooking specialty items

Had a real quick trip here recently, and I'd be less and honest if I didn't say I was a bit bummed…read more I actually found what I came here for (I needed some British double heavy cream) for a particular dish, though I couldn't help but reminisce when this location used to be in Culver city. There are a number of reasons why the Culver City location was so much better, but perhaps the main drawback at this LA location is the fact that the former had a real sense of ambiance, and uniqueness, particularly when it came to its cozy little cafe section. Now the "cafe" is pretty much just a space within a space. Another real draw to the Culver City location was the fact that they actually had a separate section where "Guest Chefs" could come in and teach entire classes via cooking classes that sometimes you have to sign up for in advance, and other times you could just kind of walk in on it. That was dope! And while the staff was friendly enough, and again ( don't get me wrong it's still a place that I will be back to to purchase much needed product), it's just an unfortunate reality that sometimes no....you can't duplicate the past.

I have wanted a good quality clay pot to make some gyeran jjim, but the prices on Amazon and other stores were too pricey for the quality. I finally got one from here for half the price online. I also got some good quality Korean cutlery set. In addition, they take credit cards too. The service was also friendly and helpful. The owner helped me find the right fit for my clay pot, and I did not feel rushed.

This is a Pizza Section & Customer Service review…read more I looked @ Chef's Toys online for a # can rack. It had a Cambro product that fit my needs so dropped into the local store to see if they carried or could at least order. I asked a sales clerk about it, showed him the website with model number, but he wasn't sure if it would be available. He asked for my name and number to follow up so I gave him a business card. I have a hard time believing he NEVER called me back. I think CR does have a lot of products and it is fun to see all the toys we chefs like to play with. And yet as far as pizza is concerned I've been underwhelmed by their offerings for variety and depth. Now that's understandable. Not calling someone back is not understandable and on the verge of unforgivable. Of course it happens, but makes for such a poor reputation that why would you go back.
