He's techniques and technology is up to date in his practice, very impressive. His hygienist are just as thorough. The front desk staff is very friendly and try their best to accommodate your scheduled and they even look out for you if they can get you in sooner too. Unfortunately, over the past few years, things have changed. Since his kids began taking over, I've felt less heard as a patient and increasingly uncomfortable with treatment recommendations. I've also noticed a significant increase in fillings and what feels like a push toward more aggressive procedures. For three years, I raised concerns about tooth pain and was repeatedly brushed off. When it was finally addressed, I was told it was a "small cavity" that could be filled quickly. That was not the case. It turned out to be much more extensive, and now a large portion of my tooth is gone. I've also had at least three fillings done by Dr. Colleen, and two of them needed to be redone by Dr. Matt. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend asking questions and considering having fillings or more complex work done by another provider. Another concern is their payment policy. Payment is required at the time of service based on an estimate, which may not reflect the final insurance adjustment. This puts patients in a position of potentially overpaying upfront, and it's unclear how discrepancies are handled. You can also see changes in the practice overall, especially with the turnover in hygienists. It feels like every appointment involves a cancellation or reschedule due to someone leaving unexpectedly, which has made the experience feel inconsistent and disorganized. It's honestly sad to see, because this used to feel like a truly special, community-focused practice. Dr. McShane built something great, and it feels like it's slowly slipping. I do appreciate Dr. Matt for stepping in and correcting issues when needed. However, I will be leaving the practice once Dr. McShane retires.

Most of us aren't exactly the best at flossing and keeping our gums at their optimal level of health, myself included. Dr. Ajesh's never commented once during any of my cleanings about how I should be flossing more. To me, that was refreshing because it seems like every dentist out there gets on your case and makes you feel bad about how you take care of yourself. It's almost embarrassing! I obviously know I should be flossing more, but not being judged about it was a welcome reprieve. The office is a little hard to find. It's tucked away in a strip of stores, but you won't regret going to this gem. Even the dental assistants are SUPER nice and, again, very genuine. Those women are awesome. The teeth cleaning itself is easy. Their office utilizes something called a "waterpick" instead of the old methods of cleaning your teeth and scraping your gums until you can't handle it anymore. I'm not going to pretend to know anything about how it works, but let me tell you, it's wonderful. Cleanings take 5 minutes, not 30, and they're rarely painful. The only reason I didn't give a 5-star review here is that the few women in the office make the billing process unbearable. I've had the same health/dental insurance for years, and they are somehow the only office to ever bill me for routine cleanings. Not once, not twice... As a matter of fact, I lost track of how many times they tried to bill me. As I mentioned before, no other doctor's office has had problems working with my health insurance, so getting hounded by the office gets very frustrating very quickly.
