This is NOT the old Garrison Ave. Hamburger Barn.
The menu is somewhat promising in that they made attempts at crafting creative offerings, but the food quality is simply average; nothing truly remarkable.
There is a lot of potential here, especially since the name leads you to believe that you will soon be sinking your teeth into a legendary bit of hamburger nirvana. If it had been delivered under a different name without the expectation, I would feel less deflated, but it is what it is.
The fried pickles are good. They were nicely fried and had a good, well seasoned batter to them, but mine were maybe a touch saltier than what I prefer.
I plan on returning in hopes that my experience of simply average was a fluke. That hamburger nirvana awaits! I'll write another review (with photos) after I return. read more
