I first got wind about this local accessories brand when I joined one of the local bazaars as a vendor. Halo + Halo was also one of the other vendors selling merchandise in the bazaar. What struck me most about their stuff was how well made and thoughtfully-designed each piece was. The brand usually creates bags using local materials like banig and jute fabric but also mixes it up by using modern fabrics like neoprene.
I especially like how a strong sense of patriotism is weaved into the story of the brand, so much so that the phrase "Made by the Filipinos" is part of their website address. Not only is this brand very cool and stylish, it also teaches us a lot about loving and taking pride in our own. read more
