Most of my friends know me as a very low-key and low- (if not zero) maintenance kind of guy, that's why Uniqlo is really my thing. I love their basics - from jeans, to plain shirts, to loungewear and their cotton pique shirts that I buy in bulk when I have money. Their basic pieces are just so comfortable for every day wear, and owing to the Japanese fit, everything just suits me right away. It is a very big deal for me to find jeans that fit right away, because most of the time, I would have to bring it to my tailor to get altered (especially the length, because American, European or even some Filipino labels are too long for my short and stubby legs). Their jeans just perfectly sit on my unsightly lumps and bulges and flatter my figure (gosh, I sound like a girl) even during my most unflattering days.
I am also particularly fond of their t-shirts, which have cute and fun designs. The only problem with their printed shirts is that they mass-produce it so much that you will most likely end up wearing the same shirt as someone on the MRT (uy, couple shirt!). I shop them most of the time now for just about anything. A few months back, I went up to Mt. Pulag and bought all my thermals, gloves and hats there and it surprisingly didn't bore such a big hole in my pocket. Cheap bastards like me would also appreciate Uniqlo's crazy sale, when jeans are usually priced at P700 and other shirts for as low as P150. A couple months back ,they also had a really nice selection of knit ties, which were great additions to my otherwise plain wardrobe. read more
