We had an emergency last night because our main pipe burst in our yard. I called another company out who charged a $150 emergency fee plus whatever repairs costs. They came out, dug up my yard and quoted me 1300 dollars to fix it!! Only for them to work on it for an hour and a half and be told they couldn't fix it and left my water off the entire night, I have 3 kids. I called halifax plumbing today. The office staff was fantastic and got me right on the schedule. The tech showed up an hour later and was nice and got right to work. He fixed it in less than 30 minutes and it cost me $134. A HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR DOLLARS!! I'm so grateful for them and now we can get back to normal! read more

I can not say enough about this company! They do excellent work at a reasonable price. I especially want to compliment Lance. We had him out on Friday to change out a shower head. Because of a little miscommunication that was OUR fault, we weren't getting enough pressure from the shower head. Had a plumbing company come out to help with slow flow from kitchen faucet. The told us that we had old pipes and that they would have to knock out some walls and replace old galvanized pipes and blah blah blah. The said they would work up a quote and it would be between 5 and 7 thousand dollars. WOW! We of course decided to get a second opinion and called Halifax Plumbing. They sent Clint. In about ten minutes he determined that the "check valve" was the problem. He removed it and showed it to me and sure enough it was clogged with crap from the pipes. He left it out and we have had no problem since then. if the pressure slows again, I remove the spray nozzle, clean the screen and back in business. He also advised we change out the 20 year old hot water heater that could be a contributing factor to the problem. $110.00 dollars vs 5 to 7 thousand. The commitment to SERVICE at Halifax Plumbing really ROCKS!!! Came home to discover my (complex) hybrid water heater was not operating; the screen was blank. After doing some basic troubleshooting, checking circuit breakers and such, I called Halifax Plumbing, the same company that installed it when it was new. The lady I spoke with seemed to really care, and told me a technician would be on the way within the hour - and he WAS. He was very professional and knew the system well. He took down the serial number, called it in. Within the hour, I received a call from their office, letting me know that the manufacturer was sending the new circuit board directly to them via FEDEX and it would arrive in the morning. As promised, the board arrived, they called about 10:00 and told me the technician was on the way to install it. So within 1 hour of that call, I had a fully-functioning water heater again!! Halifax demonstrates a real commitment to customer service, and has the knowledge to do the job right the FIRST time. Will definitely call them for all my plumbing needs! read more

Ever since they changed ownership, their attitude is like they are doing you a favor to service your plumbing needs. Hope the previous owner was paid in full because their office staff is running his well established business down the tubes. They went above and beyond and installed the water heater as soon as we were able to purchase one. They also helped us line contractors up to fix the damaged areas from the leak. I called Halifax Plumbing, Inc. this morning to fix a problem that I was having with my guest bathroom tub fixture. I had been told by another plumbing company that the problem could not be fixed and that I would have to replace the faucet and shower transfer unit to the tune of over nine hundred dollars. The plumber from Halifax Plumbing came here this afternoon and he was able to fix the problem within half an hour at a cost of $130.00. I did not have to replace the faucet or other shower fixtures and the problem was resolved. I would recommend Halifax Plumbing without hesitation. The office manager on the other hand is unprofessional, rude, inconsiderate, and will rip you the customer and the employee if there's a service the plumber provided to a long time customer just because he's a nice guy. read more

Had an appointment to fix a shower valve, At 20 minutes past the appointment I called to find out where he was. Office explained he had to make a stop first and was very apologetic and would be there within a half hour. Would have been nice to get a call telling me that. But the good news is he showed up within the 1/2 hour and luckily it was a simple fix. A dishonest tech could have easily ran the bill up and replaced the valve instead of clearing it. Well worth the $70 bill and I would use them again if needed. read more
