The Co-operative Bank in Leicester is basically one of the reasons I'm leaving the Co-operative…read moreBank, despite this store being far from my local branch I was sent many unsolicited calls which somehow woke me up from this bank (even though my phone was on silent), the store its-self is very small and the staff seemed to be rude and unhelpful. I did actually visit this branch a while ago now, I wasn't impressed with the overall facilities then but as I wasn't a member of The Co-operative Bank at the time, I had no previous transactions which could tie me back to this branch compared to branches in other cities I have dealt with more lengthy transactions and interactions including in Liverpool and Leeds. It is a pretty small location on Market Place South on Leicester too, the opening hours are pretty much abysmal and amongst the worst, I've ever seen in a bank located in a city rather than simply a town centre, closing at 4:30 pm during the week in a city where this is the only branch of the Co-operative Bank is awful, let alone considering it closes even earlier on Saturday's at 12:30 pm, and as standard, it doesn't open on Sunday's. I found the staff to be rude, ignorant and arrogant then and now with how they dealt with harassing me, to the point I had to physically block the store's number from calling me again on my phone, it was the phone call which basically reminded me to review this bank, and it really is a shame that The Co-operative Bank in Leicester seems to disregard the typical ethical and good customer service standards which got me to join The Co-operative Bank in the first place. 1*

You are always greeted warmly when you enter the bank and the staff have a lot more time to help you with any queries or problems you may have. I also like the new technology enabling you to pay money in coins, cash or cheque straight into the electronic machines instead of waiting in queues for a long time. I also had an overdraft issue a while back in which money was unfairly taken from my account and I went into the branch and found them to be very reasonable and helpful. There are also various cashpoints located outside the branch and the interior has a very modernised and patische feel that will always make you feel welcome.
