With a stunning selection of handmade rugs, Hali has been a leading purveyor of rugs and carpets since 1979. Walking down Danks Street, I was drawn into Hali because of massive signs promoting sales of up to 50% off. Since my apartment was in need of a rug, I entered. I didn't even know where to begin looking. There were so many styles of rugs, but Michael, the employee helping me out, said that the store likes to categorize the rugs into four different categories: traditional, modern, tribal, and transitional. Still, I was confused. Within these, there are subcategories based on the rugs' cultural origin, its material, or its aesthetic characteristics.
I was immediately impressed by the inventory of rugs at this place. Michael also told me that they always receive new collections in addition to the timeless collections that have been around for decades. Since all the rugs are handmade and high quality, they are very expensive. Though when I was in the store, there were great sales to make these wonderful displays of craftsmanship much more affordable.
