Please do not make our mistake and hire Spilotras Painting. We paid Spilotras $7,750 in deposit on…read moreday 1. After 2 days, Spilotras clearly breached our contract by NOT performing in accordance to "spackling, sanding, priming...". They just wanted to slap paint on as quickly as possible without any prep work, then stopped the work altogether when we requested corrections. In an effort to salvage the project, we asked for a different crew, but they refused and demanded another $7,750! They had no intention to work with us to resolve the issues because they had our money. Adding more damage to us when we requested a refund, they claimed expenses of over $5,000 for 2 days of poor quality work. We asked for detailed accounting multiple times but were ignored because they likely cannot document them. If the total project was $15,500 for 2 weeks, how can the expenses be over $5,000 for 2 days? They realized these numbers were ridiculous, so they came back with another refund offer of $4,200 out of the $7,750 paid, which means they still want to keep $3,550 for 2 days ($1,750 per day!) of horrible work, from which we received no value but problems that we are paying another contractor to correct. We also incurred substantial expenses resulting from moving-in delays. Spilotras appears to feel that since they got our $7,750, they can be arrogant and not accept any responsibility for their failures. Instead, they chose to blame the customer and to extract profit from their failed performance.

In the time that they were here, he disappeared without notice twice for a week at a time. Leaving someone wondering around painting things at random just to stay busy. We have random paint on our storm windows, when the gutter people came it was discovered that Eric and crew had painted on rotten wood. It had to be replace and repainted. I even had to ask the gutter people to do touch up on places that AAA missed. We also received a bill for carpentry with no explanation, just a number. Now, in less than a year, a piece of the soffit has crashed to the ground and the paint is bubbling around the house. It's awful. I ended up going back to him a few times to paint some countertops in my finished basement as well as pain my garage walls and floors. I also hired him for my roof, to put on a coat of acrylic protection, he was really careful and did an amazing job. I found him under his older company Diaz and Diaz but now he started his own company Anthony's Painting (named after his son) so I'm super happy to have found him since he and his crew do a great job. I will be going back to him often as he even helped me seal and caulk some old holes around the house, as well as old touch-up painting for the areas that needed it.
