With the craft beer industry exploding and more and more places distributing these beers at competitive prices there is nothing this place has that can't be bought elsewhere like Leewood Beverage or the new craft beer selection at Stew Leonard's. read more

I moved to CT recently, and I recently reached out to some locals for a recommendation on good places to purchase beer. I was directed to here, as it's only about a 20 minute drive from Stamford. This place is pretty great. They have a large, supermarket-sized space. Upon entering, we immediately were facing near to the Canada section, where they have one of the beers we were missing available. Lee and I almost hugged each other in excitement, and we proceeded to load up. They have a pretty expansive selection, you can find beers, local and international. They also have 22 tap lines for growler fills. They sell as singles with discounts for six, 12 and cases, which is nice because I loved buying a bunch of different beers to suit my mood and what I'm eating. My only complaint with the store is that their organization sort of sucks. They do have beers sorted by country, but once you get to the US beers, there is virtually no rhyme or reason to the way it is sorted. It isn't even completely organized by brewery -- I've seen beers by the same brewery in three different places on the shelves. At the very least, organize it by state. Staff is very friendly and happy to talk and make suggestions. This is one of my go-to places when It want to get some of my favorites. read more

This place is incredible!! It's huge and has a great selection of beers. Any style that you could hope for. I was having a dinner party and wanted to have beers that I could pair with each course. I was helped by Mike who is a certified Cicerone ( for those who don't know what that is, it's a sommelier of beers). I was highly impressed with his knowledge of all things beer and his professionalism. Everything he picked went with every course from soup to nuts. All my friends loved my (his) picks!! Why did I not find this place earlier?!! I have been a fan of beer for a while now. I have found some good beer places, mostly in long island and new jersey. I read reviews on this place and had to give it a shot. I am in the Bronx, which is about 20 minutes away. Private parking lot which is convenient. I walked in and was blown away. Immediately to the left is about 20 or so beers on tap, which you can filled up your own growler, or buy your own and take home. A good selection of beer. Tons of beer...aisles and aisles or beer and other beverage. Toward the far end of the store are cases of domestic beer and beverages such as soda. They do have some specialty sodas like independent branded cheery colas and ginger ales. Again, the selection of beer is ridiculous. It was separated by types of beer and even location. They have both 12oz bottles and 25 oz bottles. They sell, by the individual bottle, four or six packs and even cases. They have empty six-pack containers so that you can create your own 6 pack. The prices to me were pretty average, based on other beer stores that sell individual bottles. This place excels in the selection and service. Lots of workers around that were very helpful and willing. During my 20 minutes trip, I saw 5-6 occurrences of workers handing customers requested beverages. Also, lots of beer making material such as hops and all that good stuff. This place is great and I hope to return soon. read more

You can buy six packs and get a slight discount or create your own six pack with various types of beers. The staff is very knowledgeable and they are always willing to help you find beers or decide on which to buy. They also regularly receive shipments of hard to find/newly released beer. Without a doubt the largest beer selection in the area. If you're a fan of craft beer and you haven't been here you are seriously missing out. I really like how everything is available by the bottle so you can mix and match to your heart's content. They have 20 something taps for growlers, and also an aisle with glassware and other beer merchandise which I thought was pretty cool. I first found out about this place on yelp and it sounded too good to be true, I thought this would be a little small place but I was truly wrong, this is a supermarket sized place dedicated to beer, they have beer organized by location so you'll find domestic, Germany, Belgium, south of the boarder, Asia and so much more, staff is helpful in helping you find what you're looking for and are very knowledgeable, I've found most of the beers I've loved when I went to places such as Germany, Colorado, etc, you can buy by the bottle, six pack or case, you can create your own six packs as well, not some of the harder to find ones can be a little pricey like $4-5 a bottle but at the end of the day it's better than not being able to find it at all, they also have beer on tap you can sample, take to go in a growler, this selection rotates so you can be assured you can find some new things every time you go, one cool thing is we went to a restaurant in mamaroneck and one of the beers we had there was on tap here, they also have cigars and stuff to make your own beer here, I love this place, I've been here twice and left with at least 2 six packs of beer my lady and I love, can be pricey but you get what you pay for, I'll be back for sure and will bring friends read more

This place has by far the biggest beer selection around. It also has the highest prices in the state. A six pack that you can get at a gas station for 9.99 is 14.99 here. This is the norm for everything from 6 packs up to cases. The staff does know a lot but will also take advantage of you. While checking out I asked the clerk if I as getting the 6 pack price for some Sam Adams, he assured me twice that I was. Checked the receipt and sure enough I was charged for each seperate bottle. The stock is also largely outdated. We all know that most companies don't put expiration dates on the bottles but all reputable microbrews will let you look up batch numbers to see the brew/bottle date. The last time I bought beer both 6 packs were brewed over 2 years ago. To sum up: great selection. Very overpriced, outdated and the staff will cheat you if you're not paying attention. Half Time just opened in Mamaroneck. I felt like a kid in a candy store when I first walked in. The place is huge. I grabbed a cart and was asked if I needed any help. I politely declined and planned on perusing the many aisles myself. I wanted to create a custom six pack of winter beers but ending up creating a custom 12-pack instead in just two aisles of the store. That's 12 winter beers from 12 different breweries....and this is after passing by a half dozen winters I've recently sampled from "mainstream" breweries like Brooklyn, Saranac, Harpoon, Sam Adams, etc. If you're a craft beer guy and you live within 20 miles of Mamaroneck you're going to become very familiar with this place. read more

Great selection. Not great anything else. 2/3 of the beers have no pricetags. Most of them are exorbitantly overpriced, too. $38 for a case of Sam Adams Boston Lager? Really? A six pack of Schlafly Octoberfest with no pricetag, next to several other Schlafly six packs claiming to be $9.99, rang up for $14.99. I'm pretty sure at this point that they purposely withhold pricetags on beers, jack up the price, and put them alongside cheaper beers. It's awfully convenient how the beers I want to get always don't have pricetags and ring up for far more than anything similar that does have a pricetag. Plus, the whole place is incredibly untidy. There are boxes everywhere all over the floor intruding into walking space. I've been there several times and the floor was always covered in junk. read more

This place is going down the tubes. I've been going every few months to stock up and always spend close to 2 bills every time. New cashier was rude, took forever to ring customers up. The system is awful and slow. Also as time goes on Ive noticed less and less of the store is priced.
