10/1/20 Upon visiting this store weeks ago, I felt compelled…read moreto write a few things about this store.   Upon reflection, this store gave me the feeling I stepped back into the 70's. I see Sweet Jane walking in brown corduroy bell  bottoms with lace bell sleeve top shirt. To top it off she is wearing black gogo boots. As an afterthought,  Jane is wearing black lipstick and has a black flower in her hair. Okay, I am getting way off topic.   Half Moon Beads and Rocks is a seventies store, but they have some nice merchandise.  The incense figures are very colorful and cute.  (a word I hear a lot of. I challenge women to go one week without using the word cute) If I were big on using incense, I would be tempted to buy one of these creations.   The dragons are the ones I like the most. Aside from that, there wasn't much that got my attention as far as merchandise is concerned. The owner or manager of the store had a striking resemblance to my cousin Carla. Her mannerism  were spot on too.   Small world at times. My time at this store was fun, but I am not sure when I will be back, but the next time we stop by, there might be some more cool stuff in this store.  Oh, and when talking to the owner or manager of the store, she was very down to earth just like my cousin, but it can be hard to tell at times.  Another thing this woman and my cousin have in common.

I went in to exchange d.v.d.'s, and in return you get store credit you can shop with. They don't take every single d.v.d. but i got a decent amount and found some pretty good reads. They also take books. The store is clean and organized. The prices are pretty reasonable. They had fictional books, cookbooks, new age, spiritual/religious, diy, gardening, children's books and more. The staff was friendly, and its a chill vibe inside. I'll definitely return. They have a location in Norfolk and Chesapeake as well. Check them out!!

I don't know how i missed reviewing my favorite Virginia beach shop. For the past several years i…read morehave shopped here for little whatnots each time i go to the shore. I picked up some jewelry and some grateful dead items each visit. There is always so much to look at and it's all unique to their shop. Nobody else on the oceanfront has such awesome hippie merch. The people hanging there are always friendly which is such a plus when you're on vacation. They have it all. Clothes, accessories, mugs, home fragrance, hippie decor....anything you can imagine. And good prices too! I heard they burned out in a fire a few years ago and i am sure glad they came back and rebuilt. I can't imagine the each without a visit to this shop. Walk in happy. Walk out happy. Worth a visit!

I honestly thought the store went extinct!!!…read more I used to live FYE as a teen I'd come browse cds for hours listening to everything from Hansen to AC/DC to spice girls or even the newest Christian rap they had everything and these really cool headphones you could wear to listen I bought my first ever cd here well a different location but same store I think it was **NSYNC but it was an upgrade from my billy ray cyrus cassette id outplayed lol Now fye is a little different you have movies like dvds which have become endangered it seems and even a small music selection But nowadays they specialize in fandom products like collectible figurines and themed drinks from Back to the future and popular anime's They also have hard to find candy and treats and even giant gummies They have shirts and stuffies definitely a place to find gifts for everyone It's a mix of nostalgia and fanboy overall still a fun experience

Organized, well lit, and signs that clearly display topics of interest help make shopping at B&N stress free and enjoyable. The children's section has so many titles from varying subjects for all ages from baby touch books to teen novels. Enjoy the Starbucks located inside and take your time browsing books makes for a wonderful afternoon with friends or your kiddos. The business listing shows four years is the culprit. They are much older than this and somehow the old business listing was replaced. In my opinion this is the best of the chain in the 757. Why, because you also have the mall and it's not just a one off trip. The store is located on an end by Dicks Sporting Goods. So it's easy to park and go in. They offer the largest children's area of the chain on the Southside. It's well maintained, but now somewhat dated after a renovation probably ten years ago. Staff has been friendly over the years. The price in store is the same online and can save shipping and time. They also offer a very small coffee shop and sandwiches and bakery items. This is not a draw to the store, it's too small. I will continue to shop them.

She said that we should take a look at Ollie's. It's a discount shopping experience. There are all kinds of overstocked merchandise such as books, clothing, personal care items, pet supplies, gardening tools, snacks, beverages, greeting cards, children's toys, kitchen appliances, towels, linens, home decor items, etc. I found silicone gloves for cooking/baking, a shower caddy for my God daughter's bathroom, and gardening gloves for the beach clean up this weekend! Great deals! At checkout, the efficient cashier asked if I wanted to join the Loyalty Program - Ollie's Army. Sure! I'm looking forward to returning and getting more bargains in the future!

The claims of "cheap" stuff are only that.. claims. Just the condition of the store was questionable, as it seemed most stuff was just scattered around, aimlessly. There wasn't much I found to get, which was somewhat disappointing. It felt like a cross between Kmart, Rose's, Big Lots, Dollar General and your typical dingy little outlet store you see in 90s movies. The only thing I ended up with was a light blue bath towel. It's not bad, but I will admit that it's the only bath towel I own that had mystery stains on it after the first use. It's like it bleached itself. I didn't do anything different with it and it still rebelled for some reason. I'm not blaming Ollie's specifically, but it's still something to be aware of if you're in the market for one. Service wasn't bad during my visit. I would check other locations before I'd make a definite conclusion on the chain. However, in regards to this one?.. It's a "meh" at best.
