As a female, this is very important, that i feel confident and not feel like I am getting scammed. If you need your car repaired, this is the place to go. He is fair with his pricing. There's not often rain or snow at this gas station, but this is the site that gets a lot of hail... hence the name Hail-site. This is a pretty typical gas station out in Huntington, with pretty average prices, and can come in really handy if you (like me) are running low on gas when you're in the center of Huntington for whatever reason - in my case, grabbing some of the amazing pizza around here. read more

Decent Sunoco station up near Huntington bay. Usually not too busy, this place is not cheap, but prices are usually better than the mobile up on west shore road. Full service only, which I hate, but it is Huntington so that's the only choice. Exiting and entering the parking lot can be kind of dicey, tough left turn out onto route 110 and the hecksher park side is no picnic either with all of the weird roads connecting in the same spot near the light. Can't vouch for snack/drink selection or the garage service as I haven't been inside. They take all major credit cards. read more

My family has lived in Huntington, since 1956, and I can tell you that Halesite Sunoco is the very best service station for cars as well as purchasing used quality pre-owned automobiles in the town. The owners, Robin and Vishal Verma are honest, sincere professionals who know cars inside-out. If they feel that something does NOT need to replaced on one's car, they will tell you. That is an old fashioned value of true honesty that one does not see much these days. The owners will try very hard to accomodate you with regard to appointments. Also what is really important is that if they feel that the auto-servicing will take longer, they will tell you upfront, so that there are no suprises.The servicing is TOP QUALITY. They pride themselves on doing an EXCELLENT JOB! It is as though, they are working on their own cars---that is the big difference and what separates them from many of the other stations in town. Their mechanics are terrific!!! First, they know how to service cars, and they are familiar with so many different types of cars. One of the cars our family drives is a 2001 Chevy Lumina. They have done an outstanding drive of servicing her--they know the different characteristics of that each make and model has---that is truly important. They service older cars such as our Lumina as well as cars just out of the showroom. Second, they will take their time the servicing in order to make sure everything is done correctly. The mechanics will test the cars after they finish their servicing in order to make sure that the car has been fully repaired---the right way. Tom Mayer is the service manager, and he along with the two auto-mechanics: Edin, (the head mechanic), and John are top-knotch in what they do. What really impresses us are their knowledge of cars, and their honesty about what has to be serviced and what does not. They will also show you where there is wear on the engine part or other part of the car and expain why it is needs to replaced. Another member of the Sunoco team at Halesite is a very nice young man, Nicolai who assists at the gas pumps and with the running of the station. What stands out so much about the Halesite Sunoco Service Station is the very friendly atomsphere that all the employees have to their customers. Third, Robin and Vishal will give you a very good estimate upfront of the cost involved. This is NOT a service station, where the owners say, "Too difficult to say now, you will have to wait until after the car is fixed." They use top-qualtiy materials at their station. Halesite Sunoco also is a New York State licensed pre-owned auto dealer. That is very important to know. We recently purchased a 2010 Jeep Liberty from them. Let me tell you that Robin and Vishal listened to the type of car we wanted. They went over with us the different aspects of the cars that were on the list.The brothers drew up a list of such cars, and they personally inspected the actual car inside and out before making the purchase.It was as though, they were buying the car themselves. We have been totally happy with the car!!! When we went to pick up our Jeep, she looked as though she had just left the showroom!!! My wife and I have said that any future car purchases, we will do through them. Their professionalism is everything!!! And if you have to do a finance program with the purchasing of your pre-owned car, they will take you through the procedure at the bank. We found that extremely helpful. Finally, there is also one more really important point to us, and that is their service to the town of Huntington during the Hurricane Sandy. Owing to their strategic location to Huntington Hospital, they (the owners) set up a priority line for the hospital staff (doctors, nurses, lab techs, food, maintenance, and security personnel, and administration) could re-fuel their autos in a timely manner, if they needed any auto work carried out. This way, they could drive to the hospital and not be delayed because of the shortage of fuel. This allowed an extremely important service---the running of Huntington Hospital to continue at a time, where many people such as ourselves had no power for two weeks or more.Huntington Hospital is the major health center of town, as we all know. Brought my older nissan altima for an oil change and inspection ,the men there were very courteous and professional . They checked my car out and told me that i would need to change my rear brakes soon but everything else was good . no big list of repairs or anything , in fact the service manager found a nail in one of my tires and had his guy put a plug in for free . took my car there after another place told me that i needed a new alternator and battery and belt , about 500.00 $ . the manager at sunoco looked at my car in the parking lot and told me that one of the pulleys needed to be replaced , 90.00 later and my car has no more noise and is running perfectly . they will have my business from now on . good place with honest people ! read more

This place is so generous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's run by two brothers who are born again Catholics, so they are as honest as they come!!! They are up front and professional with the pricing! No funny business here!!! Their head mechanic shamus, shamous, shamuussss, chamusss or something like that is so friendly and professional too!! He even offers nice cold drinks while he works on your car!!! Who does that!!!!!! I had a little Nissan Altima a few years ago, and they worked on my car for hours like it was an Audi. A german car...who does that!!!!!!!!! Now, lets talk about the friendliness of the mini mart inside!!!! They have everything i need!! One day i met this sexy black woman, and i needed a condom! I have been using Halesite Sunoco to service my car for at least five years now and I could not be happier having discovered this gas and service station. It is run by two brothers, Robin and Vishal Verma, who are personable and caring. It quickly became apparent to me after I started taking my car to them that this was no mere business that sees customers as numbers or even simply clients; these two men are courteous and friendly, behaving as neighbors in the community to those who come into their station. Since I only own one car, when I have to take it in for service I am without wheels and they are quick to offer a ride home or into town, offering to come and pick me up when the car is ready. On one occasion my car was making a strange noise and had hesitated to turn on when I started it that afternoon. I was on my way to the store and stopped into their station, leaving it running, to ask them about it. They offered to look at it right then, but I was having people over and needed to get last minute things at the store. They told me to take their number and if it stopped in the store parking lot, they would come and get me; I returned to them after shopping and they drove me home with my packages, keeping my car there and fitting it into their schedule so as to make sure I would not break down during the work week far from home. On another occasion when my car had stalled out suddenly with no warning, I stopped in and they again fit me in; this time it was during the work week and when they discovered what was wrong (the fuel pump), they said they would need it for a few days. On this occasion, the service manager Tom Mayer was there with his head mechanic Edin. Tom looked up local rental places for me that were still open, making calls to check since it was late in the day, and then Edin drove me to the rental place to get a car. The whole team at Halesite Sunoco operates like a well oiled machine with a heart! They are kind people, very reasonable and cordial in their manner, who are fair and honest and run a good, upright, dependable business. The work they have done on my car has been excellent; I have had no problems after they have tended to its needs. They keep excellent service records, sending helpful reminders when the car is due for maintenance, and they refer to their records to make sure they take care of all that is needed, always discussing with me their plan of action. A car is something that needs to be kept in good condition and can certainly impact significantly one's safety. I always feel very secure and safe after they have checked and serviced my car -- and that is certainly something I treasure and something for which I feel very thankful indeed! Halesite Sunoco is an excellent service station and it is run by goodhearted people worthy of their customers' trust.
