PLEASE do your self the favor and avoid this place like the plague.
Ive been going here for about 4 years and have never had anything but cleanings, a root canal and my wisdom teeth extracted from anywhere else.
a year ago they informed me I needed a root canal, that needed to be done down the street by a specialist. Why? I don't know. That guy was great! I came back to Haldy to get my crown placed. That took two months and 4 visits. Either the crown didn't fit, wouldn't stay on, they just didn't have it, etc. Apparently I have very short teeth that are hard to fit a crown on. They cauterized my gum and placed it. Lets not mention how it looks like a little white table in my mouth with literally no definition and looks nothing like a tooth at all. I was just glad to have the ordeal over with.
Last week a small piece of my tooth RIGHT next to one of their fillings broke off while I was chewing gum. Okay now this is a problem because 1) I no longer have insurance and 2) the filling is only 3 years old. I called them the next morning and the told me "No problem if the tooth is breaking this soon it's something on our part". Awesome! thanks for taking responsibility for that, it honestly means a lot! I go in for my appointment and they think my crown has fallen off, which I clearly said on the phone "a piece of my tooth"...but okay. They take me back and the assistant looks at it and goes "ohhhh I see your broke off a piece of your tooth" and leaves. Now Im confused. Another asst comes in and looks at it and goes "I think you'll need an x-ray". Now Im more confused. the dentist comes in, looks at the tooth and tells the ladies to x-ray me and then says some dentist jargon and walks out. I wait for about 20 minutes. Asst comes back and says that it's decay and not their responsibility. She takes an x-ray. She points to the x-ray and says "see there's decay UNDER the filling, that's an oral hygiene issue" I ask how I'm supposed to clean under a filling and she says by brushing. WHAT?! Then I ask if when you do a filling should their be space between the tooth and the filling, she says no. I ask how their could be decay inside something that's closed off. She says "bacteria turns into acid and goes inside it". WHAT!? Then she says "sometimes we dont get it as good as we should" and continues talking about whatever, but I'm too focused on that sentence to care. "So you just said 'we don't get it as good as we should' though, so that doesn't sound like my fault" and then she says "No I NEVER said that". Yes, yes you did. Whatever, how do I fix the issue? Is it even an issue at all? They then tell me they're going to put on a temporary filling. I assume they mean on the little missing part of my tooth. No. They rip out my filling without EXPLAINING IT and start packing in the temp. WTF!? Im now in pain and am missing a filling I NEVER asked to have taken out, or was even told there was an issue with. WHAT IS GOING ON!? Now my options range in the 300-700 dollar range and I have a week to make a decision, all the while being in pain that I never knew would happen! AHHHHH! read more
