As soon as we were seated, the waitress served us a sample sushi piece as an amuse bouche. First time this has happened in a Japanese restaurant for me as I'm used to edamame, not a sushi roll! We tried the sushi roll and it was actually really good! I would like to know what roll it was so I could order that next time! For drinks, we just ordered jasmine tea and for our entree, we went with the Misaki mixed plate 2 which comprised of 2 special rolls (your choice) 2 nigiri pcs (your choice) about 8 pcs of sashimi, a tuna roll and 4 pcs of shrimp tempura. It's a pretty good deal for only 28 euros. There's also a 48 and a 98 euros mixed plate. The 98 euro sushi boat looked really good! Anyways, for our 2 special rolls we ordered the duck roll and the peperoni roll. For the nigiri pcs we ordered one sake and one hamachi. The mixed plate came out pretty quickly and we enjoyed everything! The sashimi pcs were really fresh. The duck roll was interesting. The duck pcs tasted like peking duck. The peperoni roll was good as well. Not sure why it was called peperoni, it looked like it had tempura asparagus in it topped with salmon? It was tasty though. After our entree, we had plenty of room for dessert and ordered one of each - the fried bananas w/ honey and the ice box which was vanilla ice cream with crepe and raspberry sauce. Both desserts were really excellent. The vanilla ice cream was actually a good addtion for the banana and honey dessert. All in all, we'd definitely recommend this place for their sushi! Everything was delicious and the service was great!

Sushi is okay. The staff is polite but not friendly. Make sure not to sit too close to the toilets…read more It's nice outside in the summer.

It's not the sushi I'm used to eat back home but gets pretty close. I'm not a fan at all of chicken sushi, so we stuck to fish: - Kluge Gretel - when we open the box we could hear a fizzy noise. It was such a nice surprise chewing the knallbrause - a party in your mouth - like pop rocks candy. - Märchen vom schlaraffenland - the truffle mayo plus truffle on top was delicious!!! - Betrogene Ifrit - the wasabi mayo and the crunchiness of the onions was yummy - Rumpelstilzchen - some more truffle mayo but the arugula was crunchy and it gave the sushi a special taste. Hands down my favorite. Each roll comes with 8 pieces. We also got the lachs nigiri. I thought the salmon was a bit fatty. It was a long piece of salmon, which kinda justifies the price. (5,49 for 2 pieces) In the website, they were charging for the hashi, shoyu, ginger and wasabi, but all of them were included. 2 hashi came in each box wrapped up in napkin. The shoyu comes in little glass jars. So cute! We also got the vanilla popcorn caramel ice cream, which was ok. The food here is not cheap, but for the ingredients, quality, creativity and presentation (!!!) is definitely worth it! I wish they would create more sushi options with salmon and tuna, instead of chicken and add mochi/ mochi ice cream to the menu. I very much recommend Rohhäppchen and will certainly be ordering from them again! 4,5

This sushi spot is tucked quietly between the trees and river right off the U3 exit on Eppendorfer…read moreBaum. The sushi menu has much variety to offer as far as vegetarian options and meat or seafood specialties. They expanded the space due to its popularity, because it is packed nearly any day or time of the week so either make reservations or arrive early well before typical dinner times. I normally opt for the sushi to fill my palate, but if you prefer, they have a nice schnitzel, steak, and pastas. The sashimi is really fresh and the appetizers are also quite tasty. My typical order here: Appetizers: gyoza, tempura shrimp or tunatartare Sushi: spicy tuna roll, spicy beef and pepperoni roll, salmon sashimi, and spider roll Dessert: Kaiserschmarrn (warm pancake like dessert served with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice-cream and a light chocolate syrup) hands down, so delicious but request in advance, sometimes they run out! Seats by the window are best, so you can get views of the tranquil river side below.
