I booked this appointment for a very special day -- both my birthday and a close friend's wedding…read more-- so I was really hoping to leave feeling confident and excited. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When the stylist first showed me the finished look, it was nowhere close to the inspiration photo I had provided. I asked her to redo it while I was still there, which she did, but even afterward, as I got ready later, I found many sections that were only partially curled or not curled at all. The curls near my crown -- an area I had specifically asked to be tighter -- were already falling. There were also no twists from my front pieces into the ponytail, as shown in the photo I provided, and in pictures I noticed the ponytail was splitting into two and wasn't centered. When she showed me the second, redone version, between not having enough time to request another redo and already feeling uncomfortable from our earlier conversation, I felt forced to leave with it as-is. Without the tools she had used, I ended up redoing a large portion of my own hair, purchasing products to fix it, and rushing through the rest of my getting-ready process on what should have been a happy, stress-free day. During the appointment, a conversation also left me feeling uncomfortable. When asked about my work, I shared that I'm a retired police officer who now runs a pet care business, and that I feel very blessed it's going so well. She replied, "Oh, blessed, huh?" and called it "an interesting word to use." When I asked why, she questioned whether I go to church. After I said not very often, she commented it was "interesting" I'd use the word blessed if I didn't attend regularly. I explained that I do believe in God, and her demeanor noticeably shifted before she said, "Oh well, never mind, that's good you believe in God." It felt unnecessarily personal and judgmental in a professional setting. After the appointment, I texted her to express my disappointment. I did not ask for any refund or compensation, despite having to redo most of my hair and buy products to fix it, but I never received a reply. I believe honest feedback is important, and unfortunately, between the quality of the style, the uncomfortable nature of that conversation, and the lack of follow-up, I cannot recommend this stylist.

She came to our airbnb the day of with another women that helped her and they made great time getting us all done. Her prices are great and she is so kind and friendly to work with! Something I was unsure of though was during the trial run, my hair didn't really look how I thought it would. She would say things like, "on the day of the curls will be tighter," or, "This will be sprayed better". Now I'm a visual person, so if I'm not seeing it in front of me I have a hard time picturing it. When talking to some of my friends that do hair they said that its normal to not do the full up-do during the trial run though. Maybe I'm just being picky, but still I'd like to see the full product before signing a contract so I know what I'm buying. In the long run it didn't even matter though, because I ended up changing what I wanted done to my hair and it turned out absolutely gorgeous! I mean look at the picture, its stunning and it held up amazing all night. It didn't feel loose and everything stayed exactly where it was suppose to until I took out all of the bobby pins. I definitely felt like a princess with this hair! Pam also did makeup for me, my mom, and 1 of my girls. When I was doing my trial hair run I asked to do a trial make up run and she said she would, but that she wouldn't be the one doing the make up the day of the wedding. However, on the day of the wedding she was the one doing the makeup. Not sure where the makeup person was. I really liked the makeup, it stayed on well, and she gave us a little extra lipstick to take with for when ours wore off. The only thing is that in some pictures I feel like it makes me look older than I am, and that may just be due to the lighting and nothing with the makeup. Overall I was very happy with Pam and her services, she was friendly and great to work with, and did a wonderful job. Thanks Pam!

I wanted to cut my hair a bit shorter, and Ashley took her time to not cut off too much at once and made sure I was still happy with the length. After a couple trims all around, I took almost 4 inches off. I'm so happy with how much lighter my hair feels, and the cut and layering looks great! Ashley also took time to put in some nice curls for style, and gave my make-up a touch-up at the end of our appointment. The salon is very clean and is in a great location downtown. I'm interested to go back next time to get a pedicure and manicure as well. Refreshments are offered at the beginning of appointments. The salon uses Davines products for hair care, which are all-natural and smell great. I purchased the Oi All In One Hair Milk that is great for heat protection and blow-drying. SO I called the school in town, and They got me in the Saturday afternoon I called within 15 minutes! As a student greeted me, washed and examined my hair, she questioned the working supervisor on the floor how to best fix it. I proceeded to get a cut that not only fixed my present cut but a lesson in how to use 3 different products and a better look than I expected to get when I went to the other salon! They showed me why my hair wasn't 'working' with my present mess (still 3 weeks after the last cut gotten elsewhere) and calmed my fear that i was just imagining the uneveness and bad working sense of it all. I can't be the only person who tries Different salons in Clinton, only to be helped by a young girl in sweatpants with greasy green hair. This salon has no such thing. All the hairdressers were well dressed and had well kept hair, which made me eager to give them my scalp at their will. Now, I am particular because I have thick, curly, dyed hair. I also have a bit of a scalp issue, so I was desperate to find a salon that would give me a personalize experience. My hair dresser's name was Allie (?). And she was incredible. I explained my situation to her and asked a lot of questions about what kind of shampoo/conditioner I should be using. Her 25+ years of experience in her field was filled was useful information to help my hair grow as healthy as possible. She also did not push any products on me, but rather gave me a few recommendations and even a sample! But I just initially came in for a haircut! My hairdresser massaged my scalp for honestly 10 minutes. Unbelievable. My scalp felt like new. The haircut was exactly what I wanted. She put some product in my hair for my curls, and I was in and out under 30 minutes. And I did check out some of the salon products they have. All their products Do not have even Close to the same amount of mark-up prices most Places have. Example. A bottle of pureology shampoo on Amazon runs about $35. Here the same bottle is priced at $21.50. All in all, I really did just get a simple wash and cut. But since the salon was held to such a high standard, I expected it to be a bit pricey. The whole thing turned out to be $15! I find this to be extremely EXTREMELY cheap. Considering that a wash/ cut at Great clips is $16, why not get salon quality as well? I highly recommend anyone to try this place.
