Well, time has passed, and it's a... I don't know, Topher Grace? Maybe that's a bit too harsh. More like a Joshua Jackson. He gets the job done, and you know you've got some good feelings about him, but man, I was hoping for at least Josh Hartnett. Child-to-adult actors aside, it's a fine cut. I went in with a mop of hair and left with much less. It's all even, nothing was missed, and I know it's only compared to the length I arrived with that I feel like I left with it a little short. But you could chalk that up to me not effectively explaining what I wanted. Here's a fun fact about barbers: you're stuck sitting in that chair no matter where the conversation goes (you can't get up with one side done). And since you're there for a trim, the barber has no indication of whether you like sporting a tin foil cap. You might have colorful conversations here, is what I'm saying. But I'd rather have conversations than silence and stares. Only two chairs, but I called for an appointment and had no trouble getting one the same day. Not much for rustic barber decor, but that also means it's a lot cleaner looking than most barbers. Now, one key metric by which a barber is measured is the straight shave on the back of the neck. I got it, and it was good. But this was the first time I've ever had a straight razor taken to clean up the temples, moving what I'd probably give a solid three stars to up to at least a 3.5, and that being the case, rounding it up to a four. The price is right, it's close. I may be back, looking for an Elijah Wood or better.

I have scheduled another appointment 4 weeks from now. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who gave me my beard trim, she also did a great job! The place has an overall great feel, the music isn't too loud (could be a tad quieter for my taste), complementary drinks and comfortable seating.
